Parfois, c'est quasiment impossible de procéder à des démontages sans avoir recoure à l'assistance d'un service d'un camion-grue. Bien jouer !

Quel Arbre énorme ! Je crois que le problème numéro un c'est d'avoir construit à proximité ou de l'avoir planté proche d'habitations J'ai entendu parler de charpentières de cèdres qui avaient cédées lors de sorties grimpe. Comme quoi, il ne faut pas se fier uniquement aux apparences, mais une bonne connaissance des essences est indispensable

@DOORS20 looked like a special occasion and good job to learn crane rigging big bits, the second climber was probably an experienced climber overseeing and offering advice, take downs this size are pretty rare in Europe,.

It looks like it was rotting in the largest part of the trunk you can see the discoloration in the inner wood when the guys are posing for their picture at the end. The components of the upper parts still looked pretty good. As you say, too bad. What a tree!

As a climber myself, the amount of jumping and swinging of some of the pieces being picked by the crane is a little disconcerting...that dynamic loading puts a lot more strain on the crane. The use of chains is also interesting...in the U.S. I've only ever seen cable or soft slings used.

Some of the limbs were not balanced very well, however overall it was well carried out. Nice crane :-)

@tl124 that discolouration is normal, previous massive limb failure may of happened recently causing a knee jerk reaction and the tree was removed. Limb failure on veteran cedars is fairly common I,ve worked on many equal and greater in far worse condition, a shame really, feels like they did cause they could not because they should have.

at like the7:10 mark it looks like there was a fracture strait across? I have only cut a handfull of trees using a crane and i tell you it is so sweet.

combien ont couté chaque expertise ? . au fur et a mesure que l on coupait ce magnifique Cèdre , je pensais au futur sclptures que l on aurait put faire ! , je pense qu il aurait du aller sur la toile et chercher de l aide aupres de grand artiste du ciseau et de la gouje afin de conservé les bon morceaux !!! tant d annees pour faconner un tel arbre , et l artiste aurait mis quelques minutes pour leurs dirent , " la je voie un elephant , la une danseuse , la quelque chose d abstrait " trop tard !

Fleischgewehr K You missed the point. If you could read French, you would know that this is a training as part of a forestry school. These guys are basically learning to fell a tree. Not doing it yet as professionnals in a hurry and at minimum cost... no need to do some French-bashing. Damn...

moi je suis chef d'équipe homme de pied est une fois j'ai du faire abattre par mes gars un vieux pin de 150 ans en pleine forme tous ça parce qu'il gênait une construction d'immeuble, cela c'est passez il y a 5 ans est aujourd'hui je regrette mon geste, j'ai laissait mourir un géant ou plutôt je l'ais tuer est je m'en veux aujourd'hui
