Elantra N Goes Back To The Dragstrip 

That’s awesome, thanks! It was a really fun day at the track, despite hoping to get back into the 12’s, but like you said, anything in the 13’s was fast back in our day. Shoot, I even remember when 14’s was considered quick. Fox boys Mustangs were 225hp and considered performance cars ha ha. It was a great time to be alive, but we definitely didn’t get to experience anything like the cars today, but we still had fun didn’t we?!!

⁠@@n-power-automotiveI know! I never had anything fast. Quickest thing I had was my 1987 Maxima 5-speed that I had back around 1998-1999 or so. Not fast…not even quick…and handling out on the backroads was…not good! But it was still fun to drive, and that thing could take a beating! I remember one time, I went to Valvoline Instant Oil Change to get the oil changed, and they forgot the drain plug! Drove it a few miles before I noticed the knocking! Put a drain plug back in, poured some oil in and she was good to go! A buddy had an early 90s LX 5.0 and, like you said, everybody thought it was the fastest thing around! Heck yes we had fun!

Like I have seen some night pov videos in their "native Korea" and makes me wonder if the toretto crew would ever go to seoul🤔 But I doubt that would happen as the newer movies haven't been doing so well at the box office and fast x part to is going to be the final film. Although I do wish it would be cool if they came to Australia (I remember how I wished they'd do an aussie fast and furious, but they probably think mad max is enough) but it would be nice if they went to other places asides from Sydney, like do some research to find out where the car community like to meet up and it definitely wouldn't be the harbor bridge with the Opera House in the background. Although I can see them doing a night chase scene through the bridge with some explosions😂 But Korea probably dosen't have enough performance cars (and it seems like people like to mock the n) and the audience would think it looks the same as Tokyo drift without the "2000s" thing. Although they have had some Korean boy bands songs used in the movies. But I think it would be nice if they came to Australia and featured some holders and ford's, like the monaro obviously

@@n-power-automotive honestly the light blue and orange accented current model, reminds me of mia's car from the first movie and the chick from Tokyo drift (also a light blue). Hyundai probably didn't expect some people to think "fast and furious" probably just a coincidence. I think the n would probably work if they went back to making it about cars instead of explosions and shit, along with some other current performance/tuner cars

@n-power-automotive They haven't given me a date yet. My local dealer put in the order for one with my name on it. (With a $1k deposit from me) I went with the Cyber Gray with the DCT. I have a few manuals, and I plan on using the N For my fun commuter. So I didn't want the manual due to traffic. With Hyundai USA recently releasing a video on it coming out, I'm thinking soon. (With in the next few months)

@@johnnyturbo8460Cool that they were willing to order you one. Why such a long wait when there’s literally only 2 options you pick (transmission and color)? One would think that they would have one allocated that they could put your name on. Mind if I ask what price you’re paying?

@johnmpifer I just got it on the 26th. I love it! Remember, They are shipped from Korea, which takes time. once they make it here ( mine came through the port of Philadelphia), they then have to go through customes. From there, they need to wait on a transport truck to ship them around the east cost. Remember, there are hundreds of cars on these cargo ships. So it takes a while to get them unloaded, allocated to a dealership, picked up on a transport truck, and delivered. Not only that, but not every dealership is getting every color, and not every dealership is even getting one. I read somewhere they are only making 12,000 for the US market. White, light blue, the one I got Cyber Grey are the rarest colors, I believe. Most are the newer dark blue, a dark red and Black. With that, 1 got sold from underneath me(even though they said my name was on it), another sold as I was filling out the paperwork. I had 2 deposits on 2 from 2 separate dealers, and one finally got mine. So I got my other deposit back. It took about 3 months to get it after placing the deposit. It was postponed 4 times. (The delivery date kept changing) Most are sold before the dealership even takes delivery of them. The sticker was $36,570, and that's what I paid, no mark up. I was out the door at $38,298. I got a $500 discount. So add $500 to that if not eligible for any . I did add a ceramic coating and nose protection that was extra, but not needed to complete the sale.

@@chromedreams8184 yeah, it has always struck me as disingenuous, and maybe even dishonest, to try to get a blown motor fixed under warranty, and then try to hide that fact, when you caused it with a tune.

Hey from the other side of the world! Thanks so much for the kind words. I’ve watched quite a few i30 sedan N videos as well. Which piggyback do you have? JB4? I think if I do tune I’ll just go with an ECU tune. Leaning toward N75, likely just a Stage 1. I think 320 wheel horsepower would be perfect.

@@n-power-automotive I run a race chip GTS it works well. Customer service at race chip has been great to deal with too. I’m wondering if you do an ECU flash whether NGS will still work? It’s something I will need to discuss with my local tuner. I’m also thinking about a dump pipe upgrade however ECU flash tune + dump pipe voids warranty here in Australia from what I have been told. Intake upgrade doesn’t void warranty cause the add on doesn’t affect the internal workings of the engine. Either way I’m enjoying seeing what people are doing to these cars, they are a fun package to drive at an affordable price point. Thanks again for the videos

Why do you want an ECU tune?

@@klasseact6663 Piggy back tune increases boost but ECU tune adjusts many other vehicle functions to not only make more power but to make the car run more efficiently

@Camsta2 agreed but the ECU tuner needs to know what their doing as well. I had a 500Madness piggyback on my old Abarth and zero problems, 2 ECU tunes on my EN...issues.

I’ve never had any error codes come up ever, so no, I do not use any scanners. I haven’t heard about that ever being an issue with the Hyundai N vehicles.

As far as I know 😂 Each dealership is different. Some don’t mind mods, others will look for any reason to tell you they void your warranty. But there’s a law that says unless they can prove the mod caused the issue, they can’t deny your warranty.

Yes, it was octane learned. If you zoom in on the infotainment screen you can see it’s making 18-19 PSI on the runs.

@@porfiriato84 I test drove a 2023 Elantra N and 2024 sonata N line back to back and drove away with the Sonata N line. The Elantra shines on a road course

@@nickclashez it does shine on a road corse, but it also shines in pretty much every performance aspect over a Sonata N-Line. The SNL is a great car, but it definitely doesn’t smack around an EN like you stated. From a roll it can maybe keep up with an EN, but that’s about it.

Yeah, for the cost of the cam I agree an SS makes more sense. He said he gets about 7mpg now lol. But it’s definitely different, so for that reason, I think it’s pretty cool.
