I’m 442 and when I lost like 500k runes it wasn’t a big disaster. Losing 5k in a random fight with knight at the start of the game was way more emotional
Once you can farm hundreds of thousands of runes in 1 go. Losing that much is no problem. Hell, I lost half a million 1 time and it doesn't bother me anymore
@@ballsack7665 Yup. Though recently sometimes when I hit the bird, he stops and walks back like it has some self awareness but most of the time, the bird falls
I haven't even beaten the game yet, just taking my sweet time and I'm really enjoying fully exploring every nook and cranny. The world is so well crafted and you can really feel Martin's influence. The setting differentiates it from Dark Souls but the Dark Souls spirit and world building is still there. Lovin' it!
I can only imagine how many unlockable secrets fromsoft planted in this world. I randomly hit a wall you didn't think was illusory, (not in a cave/catacombs/seluvis' hideout) but it was. It didn't lead to anything glorious, but it was a neat find, and forgot what I got from it. Lol was my first playthrough
Been doing the same thing, brother, I turn every stone before I proceed further. Such an epic world, I knew I'll love the game, but it's so much more than I've expected.
You and I both pal, my friend wants to beat the game cause he grinded to level 120 in the first week and complains the game feels easy and he wants to new game plus. Where as I'm just collecting everything and enjoying the lore.
Same! I have like 140 hrs, and I'm only at the beginning of Farum Azula. My friend has less than me and has already gotten all of the achievements. I just figure that I have probably seen more of the actual map though
@@lorinrusu5893 I'm not a big Souls fan so I never got the game on release as I had Horizon and Dying light but my son/wife bought it for me on fathers day and I've been hooked ever since, definitely my GOTY I'm level 95 and just liking it more every time I play i played the Demon Souls on ps5 and it was good but this is next level and the open world really draws me in so much more, great game
@@James_Rustled I think its mainly that they are running out of video ideas for elden ring, which is sad because there are so many good videos they could make about elden ring but they limit themselves to this list format... and on top of that they just seem uncreative. This channel is decently fine for typical video game lists but it's clear when they are clinging on to a game too long just to stay relevant
I'm level 80 and i already feel like i'm playing on easy mode because i went through the trouble of defeating most of the major bosses pretty early and now i'm roaming around dropping side bosses like flies.
Not really. Most mages just run straight to Caelid and grab the Meteorite staff and the nearby Rock Sling spell, it takes less than 30 minutes to do. Easy mode for the first half of the game or so activated. You barely had to do anything to earn it.
In my first play through, after I beat the game I went to the end game farming spot and got my stats WAY up. Not max but over half way on each. NG2 is a breeze and NG3 I plan on doing max just to see all the endings. I LOVE this game
@@leonardofelippine9781 it is that spot. You need the elden lord remembrance to get the sacred relic sword (+10 preferably), and having the gold scarab talisman helps more runes), and just wipe out everyone on that hill and below. (100k+ runes in 30-45 seconds in ng+) And it's not too hard to get there if you follow Vaares quest at the beginning of ng+ . Took me like an hour and some change.
I'm not quite max yet but i am definitely over leveled for NG2 and really it allows me to experience the game rather than brute forcing it. Don't get me wrong i ABSOLUTELY loved the game my first play through but i felt with how large the game is I was missing out on so much cause i was nervous about wasting time exploring areas and just getting decimated over and over, but even now where I am in my 2nd run, I am STILL finding stuff that i had no clue was there and that is a testament to how incredible this game's design actually is/
@@GamingonFiction exactly! Also thank you! One of my favorite moments in my 2nd run was the draconian tree sentinel before the capital, dude was the BANE of my existence on my first run. Legit had to step away for a Lil and rethink my approach, finally beat him and I fucking cheered. Next time I came back with the mindset....you're my bitch now. Felt even better
I'm like 135 now and haven't even went to the platue or however you spell it. Im completing much side quests as possible and been farming like madman cause I'm OCD so when I get somewhere that's kinda tough I make it a point to level up to embarrass the enemies the way they done me lol.
@@teranceweeman7755 I completely understand! It's honestly one of the things I appreciate in the design of the game. Like yeah I'd like a way to track the quests better but I love that I can just decide my direction and not feel overwhelmed by icons on the map.
@@alexwelsh0811 💯 where most games throw stuff at you that's the same as you've been dealing with just extra obstacles making it feel like your just spending more time to complete it than actually having to adapt and overcome it. Elden ring will throw new things at you and force you to adapt or die.
On my PvE character I've reached level 420. I'm on ng+9 at the moment. The only real threat is Haligtree & Crumpling farum. Everything else is easy. I will say though , the tree sentinel dude outside maliketh boss room is a monster on ng+7 , he is tougher than maliketh.
So NG keeps scaling up with every playthrough? I've been taking my time on my first run currently lv 220 and about to enter the final area. Maybe I should just finish and start a new run.
Finished NG3 at level 300. Beat the game in 2 hours and got the platinum trophy. I did literally every single side quest, dungeon, and NPC storyline there is. Haven’t had this much fun with a game in years, been a blast.
@@abdulrahmanalghamdi2307 Personally I think Ranni's Quest line/ending is the best, Age of Stars. I would suggest playing for a specific ending and try to not get the Cursed Flame from the three fingers because that will override whatever ending you strived to get. Many people think that the age of order Questline is the best ending thus having to follow Goldmask questline. Dungeater is pretty neat as well...
The mimic tear’s health pool doesn’t increase with yours though. Pretty sure it’s a set number based on the level it has been upgraded to. At +10 it’s pretty tanky but you don’t need to be max level to get the most of out the mimic. Once you’ve hit 50-60 across most attributes and have most of the good talismans, it should perform optimally.
I find the mimic tear to be super overpowered in certain situations. For example there are moves from bosses that one hit you that your mimic just laughs at lol
Dude, if any player says the Mimic Tear +10 sucks, is using a bad setup. I fought Melenia in NG+++, Had my mimic Tear +10 with Mohgs Spear +10. I used a RoB +10. Second Phase Melenia uses Scarlet Aeonia attack, my mimic Tear charges Melenia in Flower form and proceeds to use Mohgs Spear Special Attack devastating her HP wise BEFORE she fully recovers. Guess What? Mimic Tear is immune to Scarlet Rot. I use Corpse Piler. Beat Melenia in firstbattempt NG+++. If YOUR mimic Tear is bad, it's because YOUR build is bad. FACTS.
@@haterreplicator4868 couldn't have put it better. I limit my incantations to just the buffs I need also so the Mimic uses the weapon instead of screwing around with incantations.
You guys are the best! I was actually inspired by your channel to try my 1st souls game ever. I was always turned off by the difficulty of them but I actually found out that as long as you have a little patience then they're not that bad. Keep doing God's work brother!
Not gonna lie there's some of that too 😂🤣 so far I've beaten one of the toughest early game bosses without breaking a controller 😌😌 I beat Margit around level 24 without dying too many times. Maybe I was over leveled?
@@NiiKEMAN because unlike Elden Ring, demon's, ds1, ds2, ds3 doesn't give you the opportunity to roam around with everything at your fingertips. Golden Seeds and tears aren't hard to find if you roam around at night, unlike having to progress the game in order to find embers and certain shards/slabs in souls.
Just started NG+ at around level 180. It’s already very easy. The shenanigans you could pull at max level sound pretty fun, but there is no God Mode in this game without skill.
Update: I’m now on my third play through. It’s gotten harder now, specially at the point of Farum Azula & beyond. But as I keep going, I get better, so it’s evening out. Maleketh has been the only boss I’ve struggled with (other than the Runebear boss in the cave)
I'm still on my 1st playthrough and I'm level 300. I mostly help people fight bosses esp Godfrey. I've played all the souls games and I've always help people out.
@@LuketheMarco there are so many options and viable build ideas. But 90% of your time you just stumble across moonveil mages and rivers of blood spammers. So sad
if you do play at 713 it will reduce your stats and flasks apon going into a nother world.I assume to make the playing field more equal.Something i noticed doing varre quest.I was like where did all my shit go lol.
Just do it on ng+? So when you do it all over again it’s still fun doing it again….. and you’ll not be overlevelled. I don’t get people who spend hours and hours on ng, overlevelled to “explore”. Just explore in ng+
About 180 hrs in, made two builds. 1 with a str/faith build rocking the Maliketh black greatsword lvl 192 and my other a Dark Moon Greatsword knight with sword spells lvl 150. I try to play other games but Elden ring just keeps beckoning me. 🔥 🔥
Things I learned you can do long before max level: 1) survive being hit by a chariot in any heroes dungeon (34 vitality with 45% or higher damage reduction)
I loved getting this at release. We are finally reaching the point when most players are in the final hours/ bosses. The pacing was incredible and going through this journey with everyone posting on tik tok and RU-vid has been as memorable as going through the journey of red dead 2 upon launch, and really only happens once in the first couple months of launch. Gotta love this game 👌🏽
I am so happy I was around for launch and got to see all the new discoveries be a big deal when the first big video gets released on it. Really made this game special.
It is heartbreaking I got the game right as everyone was basically beating it I just wasn’t sure if I’d love it or hate it that’s one of my biggest regrets I should’ve preordered lmao
Bruh.. I started my NG+ at lvl 240 🤣 and the magnitude of distruction left running from The first step to Mountain top of giants is ridiculous 🤣🤣 it felt like a victory lap 🤣 6 hours on a relaxed pace.. even managed to do all the NPC quest I missed the first time.. 🤣🤘
I simp for Ranni so I went for her ending. Although admittedly, the Frenzy Flame ending is really badass and the best looking ending in the game. I wish most of the ending weren't just reskins and were actually unique like the Age of Stars and the Frenzy Flame endings
@@joshmay2944 There are 6 known endings in Elden Ring and only 2 of them are unique. The other 4 are just reskins with some slight dialogue changes from the narrator. Go look up a RU-vid video showing each ending bro.
The frenzied flame ending pissed me off because I looked in my inventory after it happened in the hopes that I received a helmet that made my dudes head look like it did in the ending. :( Loved that glowing flame of frenzy ball that replaces your head.
I am at 667 with max level mimic tear, I basically just summoned my mimic tear and sat from start to end during fights like margrit and godrick.. it’s just so satisfying to watch! 😄
On lvl 500 rn. Grinding as a method of relax and chill when I get home from work for a hour. Can't wait to be max like my Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 character ;). Jack of All Trades, a true ELDEN LORD!!
I’m level 222 and sitting on 22mil runes and also grinding after work and when I have time to on my days off just throw on Netflix and grind out those wave of gold attacks
As someone that has put a total of 70 hours into only grinding runes i have managed to get up to max level and it is such a nice thing. i have 156 hours into the game and i am about to beat ng 1 and it is so much fun, you can't ever be 1 shot, even the chariots will 2 hit you, even the last bosses in the game are chumps. I am using a berserker build and combined with the ironjar aromatic i am literally invincible XD. Chariots 3 shot me which is insane to think about and i can even have 3 sets of weapons: 1 mage, 1 incantation + whip and 1 berserk sword (with Lion's law ash of war which gives me hyperarmor) + Radahn's bow and still have the heaviest armor in the game and still medium roll which is amazing. It is so fun and with being a jack of all trades it's amazing.
@@RobertP.Landon probably duped the runes this game has the easiest duping ever since you can trade them. No way in hell he got max level before going into NG+ legitly. It would take way more than 70 hours of only grinding runes to do it.
@@VictorHeffner yea fr. I just started ng+ after the first play through at 251. And getting to 251 took 200 hours. This includes beating the elden beast. But still i put atleast 20 hours into farming runes at the palace road. No way this guy got max level in 70 hours
The reality of the situation is that max level only really saves you a little time. You only have to be 400-600 to max out the potential of almost any build. Max level just saves you time time of having to larval tear for another build.
Elden ring is truly a masterpiece of a game never had so much fun and pain in game in my life and I’m so happy I beat elden ring I’m still gonna keep playing and for new dlc to come out!!
You can pretty much do all this at level 250 or so, assuming you respec for different builds, and you get more than enough larval tears to do that. 6:19 I got that Nazeem reference haha
Players who wish to PvP, I suggest staying around the 120-200 range. The bosses even in NG+7 aren't that hard for RL 120-200, and it makes it challenging still so you don't get bored
@@fabuloso981 yes i am 385 and i i have been invaded by people 500-700 so don't worry just 120-150 is going to be the more popular for pvp it's not DS3 it's elden ring so it's a very new game you will find people on those levels without problems that is more of a casual pvp we can say 120-150 is more of a serious and the meta

I swept through ng+ at lvl 170 till I reached end game and ran into some small difficulties like in the first playthrough but I also think I got too accustomed to not having anything put up enough of a fight to require my full attention. New game+3 or 4 is where it gets interesting again in my opinion
@@manuelquaresma3281 ohhhh, to be fair I didn't watch it. I got bored because this is stuff I can already do at level 390. I guess I don't really have a good grasp on what filler content is. Sorry my bad
Hit 713 ng+8 last weekend and I still died the same way I was always dying, by falling!! I fall off of shit so much that even max level still made me a chump. I can never really get the hang of using Torrent near a cliff :(
125 lvl is maximum for me.I'm on my third run, and I deliberately didn't explore every inch of the map so I could be surprised even after playing it a few times. And since I'm a cannabis smoker and the Elden Ring is obscenely huge, I can be surprised on minor breaks practically until retirement. :D I'm not a fan of ng+, I prefer to start a new character so that the gameplay doesn't lose the thrill. (subjective opinion)
I've scraped Moghwyn Palace clear of enemies many times. I usually do that to stay sharp on my combat skills. I use Regalia of Eochaid and Dragon Communion and Serpent Bow. But I've also Maxxed out the Horn Bow Erdtree Bow Great Stars Great Mace and the Twinblade for other uses. Golden Land is on my Great Stars. I farm fowl feet and Stormhawk Feathers for fun. Also have a farm for Spirit Flame Arrows and the Perfumer Bolts.
I didn't reach max level but I got to around level 400. My last run I did feel like a god specially because I used the bosses weapons against them 😂😂 I even put on their armors and just showed them I bettered them. I did use some of my favorite weapons in off hands on harder bosses but it was still fun. Some of those weapons are really good!
I just hit 713 today. If you have a friend save your hero runes and upload your data. Then invite your friend drop hero runes and then download the data again. You have infinite runes you can drop. It’s not for everyone but it works
I mainly like doing things like this because of the removal of restrictions. I hate not being able to use fun and entertaining things because it's under powered or the stats that you're allowed to set don't match up. Just playing the game the way that feels right feels good.
I want to eventually play through NG+ enough times to get every ending. I doubt I’ll ever reach max level, but will try to hit all the soft caps as I go, tweaking my build every so often to try other styles.
i spent over 200 hours scouring every rock nook and cranny, only missed 3 things in my first playthrough, the invader north of stormhill shack, the whitemask guy who invades you in moghs place (cause i went and wrecked mogh first) and the snake lady from volcano manor, came back later after doing some bosses and realized i progressed too far. doing them in my next playthrough. being level 250 going into NG+ is gonna be fun.
1:45 This is my point, this game is virtually hard, not actually hard. Which means that if they give me all from the beginning, I would slide throughout the bosses easily. This game is not about skills, but more about farming.
Considering some research ive done and game testing: most players finish the game somewhere between lvl 110-130 i did a no grind semi 100% run and ended the game at level 178 which means people lose out on a shit ton of content since i was level 145 by the time i got to morgott which is kind of sad knowing just how much people dont get to see in 1 playthrough but i guess thats what NG+ is for
I’m new to playing Elden Ring. I streamed my gameplay the other day and I’m not even level 20. One of my viewers tells me to look for the first dragon in Limgrave and I go looking for it and I damn near screamed my head off when it…….. appeared. It was hysterical. 😂😂😂
max level is a double sided sword, u get to see everything you’ve seen already but in a mode u destroy instead of the opposite. but after u do that u prolly will get to ng+7 or get way too bored and not play anymore whereas if u stay low level challenges get harder but you’ll be more skilled and still outplay and there’s something more to it than absurd dmg and no chance to die
@@NukeGaza2024 in the Monster Hunter games there is a tier of quests that are extreme difficulty, giving the most rewarding experience. They're only doable if you have done basically everything else, and are the Endgame
I would love to know what the actual average is when finished with elden beast. So many factors. Theres losing runes all the time but also ppl farm (i think i farmed multiple levels twice, once at the capital and once at halligtree). Then there's sidequests (i did about half of them) and catacombs and dungeons (also did about half of them). When i got to radagon/elden beast i also went back and did some of the bosses u can refight but only the ones i had the most fun on, and i went and did some of the dragons that ran away when u fought them so i feel like maybe im a good right down the middle average finished lvl 134.
I did everything in my first play except some of the Hero grave dungeons because fuck the horse thing. I finished somewhere above 170, but I was very careful not to lose too many runes, would use droppable runes to top up if I was close to levelling and not enter fog gates with too many runes either. I think I lost a levels worth of runes in one go, only about 3 or 4 times. I never had to farm for levels either
NG4, lvl 503, currently making sure I have everything in the game, just spent 2 hours farming the caravan for the noble swords. TBH I can’t see grinding for max would make a difference, I can already comfortably solo all but 1 boss already (I still use mimic for malenia for agro break) 99 str, dex, int, arc and primarily use either twin 10 moonveil or twin 10 wing of astel
I’m 229 and I thought I was unstoppable in ng+ at the start I was flying through EVERYONE until I got to the fire giant agin beat him on my 3rd try. It wasn’t until I reached Black Blade M that I realized I was sooooo weak😭 all the pain in my first run from this boss just came back… I gave up currently working on all side bosses and farming lol
Maliketh isn't gonna become easy whatever your level is unless you're already 713 on lower ng like 3 or 4 otherwise he is just as tough , the only difference at 713 in like ng+ 7 is your health bar is bigger lmao ( according to me dont judge me )😊
Technically all of these can be done from a fresh character. I love making gimmick builds for pvp, and will definitely be doing so at a reasonable 125 to 150. Wherever the accepted pvp level ends up anyways.
1. Sneeze and one shot Hoarah Loux. 2. Swing, whiff, and watch the blast wave crush all life. 3. Melina asks to lay her hand upon you but a moment. 4. All enemy AI gets a yellow boss fog wall approaching you. 5. Malenia uses mimic veil to disguise herself as a chair when you enter boss room. 6. You can give the Two Fingers the Finger. 7. You can rename the Roundtable Hold Servant Quarters. 8. Command Boc the Seamster to become Boc the Spare Sword Carrier. 9. When Melina offers you an accord, explain to her you don't drive Hondas. 10. Tell Marika you're hungry and she should go make you a sandwich.
First run I went with the not so original rivers of blood. Ng+ went full unga bunga mode. Still having fun. Never touched magic builds, might try it on the next run.
That's the best part about souls games, they're not like the new Assassins Creed games where you can be OP as shit and never die, you can level up and try to outpace everything all you want but there is always something out there that will shit on you.
@@Jason_Van_Stone I have played an embarrassing amount of Elden ring. When I see Distortion break the game in 9min, it’s pretty amazing. He’s a master at work. It’s something I could probably never do.
