Elden Ring is the first Soulsborne game I've ever played. Loving it so far, even though I've died way more than I'd like to admit, finally killing that mob or boss that killed you is so satisfying

The next time you say “it can be acquired easily”, remember to mention that in order to arrive in that church, there is a tower with madness to deal with and then NPC who invades you and one shots you

7:40 If you reached this area really early, you can face the cliff on your left and use a single arrow on a giant crow. it will aggro and fall to its death netting you 11k runes. edit: still works after patch 1.03.

If you're weak and want to farm this spot, there is a raptor across the cliff (on the left) you can hit with a longbow. The raptor falls to its death giving you 13k runes.

Hey for anyone thats lower level that needs help, spamming the rot breath dragon incantation can clear the whole area very quickly

For my fellow non-mages (and those who havent unlocked that absolutely mental sword yet): Starscourge Greatsword is just amazing for this. You only need to use the ability in 2 spots while in the middle of the groups to wipe them all out.

if you have the katana with the graviton skill, you can use it to pull the mobs around you, then you can switch weapon to use the SoNF flame skill.

BTW in Journey 2 (NG+) the rune amount almost doubles. I did 15-18m runes in an hour with this method! A bit insane is also the boss in this area which can be cheesed: he drops about 1m runes if you are wearing the gold scarab :-D

If you are running a high strength build you can use the Ruins greatsword and its very effect with its Wave of destruction ashe of war

Another great weapon to use and has prob been mentioned is the Blasphemous Blade. Its special ability will travel most of the way down the hill. It does not 1 shot the guys with shields unless you have buffs. Other than that it clears the hillside pretty fast.

Guys I can attest this is absolutely the best farm, I had decent luck with the afk farm near the Radahn fight arena, but obviously sitting and waiting is boring. This is more runes in less time and you are actually playing the game lol. 10/10. Went from level 91 to level 121 in one evening.

note, you dont actually have to do the multiplayer thing (if you are late game). there is a teleporter in the consecrated snow fields that take you to this farming location

Also for a step between the low level and end game sword, after you have beaten radahn use his remembrance to get his starscourge greatsword (NOT THE GREATBOW) and then once you have the stats to use it the weapon art can be used to kill all of the enemies in 2 seperate bursts it takes about 20 seconds per run for about 50,000 runes

oh my god, reaching the church of inhibition was such a toxic experience. Sometimes i would just die for no reason. full HP with less than 1/4th way madness bar i'd just drop dead.

remember that every area can me accessed multiple ways, including mogwyn palace. If you killed this guy early game, don't fret, once you reach the snowfields, there is a teleporter that drops you right next to this site of grace.

at that exact spot of grace you will need a bow and arrow, go on the ledge and below you will see a bird chicken figure, shoot that with the bow and arrow and it will fall off and give you 11k, sit back at the grace and rinse and repeat and its about 100k a minute or 6 million an hour :)

a really good melee weapon for this farm is the icerind hatchet its found in liurnia at the temple quarter near the academy. Essentially you can spam its ash of war / ability and 2 shot everyone even if you are low level. it has great aoe and you can use it in like under a second.

Confirmed BIRD method is very fast. Run up and stand next to the first sitting creature by the sight of grace, they won't attack, look 90 degrees left. In the distance you will see a large bird pacing around. If you shoot an arrow through the lower branches of the tree, it will aggro this far away bird, and it will run towards you and off of a cliff. Nets 11k. Wear the scarab charm and use a golden foot, 17k. If you get quick, you can make 51,657 runes every 60 seconds. Cred to whoever discovered that the bird was word Edit: typo

If you're kinda low level you can use the ritual sword talisman to boost damage at full health. The warrior jar shard to boost skill damage. Then finally the spiked crack tear mix for wondrous physick to one shot them at lower levels. Well besides the main guy ofc. My SoNF is only +4 and my stats are all over the place and it still works. Hope this helps someone

Non mages can also look into Hoarfrost Stomp (invisible scarab in liurnia) have it scale with str or dex depending on weapon and youll destrpy these things. Early ash no need for respec and its very spammable with no FP investment.

There's also an Early alternative Farming Spot , Deep Root Depths where you Fight Fia's Shadows.... Before even starting the Boss Fight the Big Root Tree holds a Total of 7 or 8 from Top to Bottom those big Gargoyle Statues who spit Fire. ( Use Gold Scarab each 1 will drop 4220 in total its about 30K Runes per run ). I managed to Boost my character 40 extra Levels , from Level 122 uptill 162 now in just under 2 hours... Always start from Top of the Big Tree site of grace just behind the Boss Fog Gate.... Kill the Statues from top to bottom , the Final Gargoyle Statue is located at ground level inside a small Chapel.... ( With Gold Scarab Talisman only you get 29560 Runes per run then rense and repeat while opening a Fast Traveling to the Site Grace on Map , in Total of 2 hours you should have Farmed the process atleast 100 times as 100 runs... This leads to exactly 3 Million Runes ). As per Character Level , i was 122 and each level costed about 100K per level thats just 3 runs for each level... Now at 162 its around 190K per Level or so. Goodluck. Moghwyn Palace is also reliabley faster due to the Mobs being more in Numbers.... Making Farming Runes easier... The Deep Root Depths farming method , only sees you killing 7 total Gargoyle Decayed Statues in which you have to go loading screens pretty often but eitherway the Deep Root Depths method is fairly really really early on even before encountering Morgott or Rykard , you only need to defeat Radhan in order to access Deep Roots which is immediately accessed inside Nokron Eternal City's Adequit after obtaining the Black Treasure Dagger of Nokron.... There's also 2 Bosses in Deep Root and a Mausoleum

The problem I have with this farming method is that it doesn't explain that even if you get the ability to use the Sword of Night and Flame, you still won't be able to one-shot the mobs in this area right off the bat. I currently have it leveled up to +5 and I can ALMOST one shot the mobs. The point I am trying ot make is that he doesn't go into detail on the stat requirements necessary in order to one shot enemies in this area with this sword's ability. Edit: I would recommend leveling up your Sword of Night and Flame to at least +8 in order to be able to one shot these mobs shown in the video.

Wish you actually showed how to get to the 1st spot when we 1st get to this location from the mission.

Head up when you go for the maidens blood, that area has madness and an npc that invades. Just a heads up.

at the second place you can also cheese the giant bird mob to fall off for easy 10k runes every 20-25 seconds. It is a little tricky to pull off but once you have the method down it is silly fast EXP

Also try using Hoarfrost Stomp in the tadpole men farming area too if you don't have sacred relic sword

Respec into 70 faith and grab the Frozen Lightning incantation from the dragonkin boss in Ainsel River. It kills 4-5 of them at once, you can spam it and kill them all under a minute. That's 30-40k a minute.

Just use starscourge sword and cast special in the middle 3 times is 100% clear for me

Agroing the bird and watching it fall off the cliff is still faster and accessible to level 1 players if they have a bow and made their way to the Palace Approach Ledge-Road. With the Golden Scarab talisman and pickled foot you get 17k runes every 20 seconds and dont need anything fancy. Even without any of them, you can get 11k every 20 sec which should put anyone in position to then get the golden scarab(+20% runes) and the recipe for the gold pickled foot)+30% runes).

Hoarfrost stomp works just as well and gets the job done without needing to pop any flasks

so what this guide didnt mention is a madness effect build up while getting to the chirch of inhibition. if your build is squishy or you are early in the game you gonna have bad time running up the hill

I found a decent spot to farm early on. In the first big castle (the one where the grace sites point you to go early on) to the north west of the starting point of the game there's a spot where a long bridge leads to a tower. There's 3 giant enemies on the first part of the bridge that gives a little over 1000 runes each and they are right near a grace point. Two of the giants are melee and one is a archer. You can line up the melee giants to get hit by the archer which a lot of time make the giants fall over so you can do a visceral attack. I basically kill both melee giants then run back to the grace and repeat. No point in killing the archer because it's fairly far away and you can't summon your mount so it takes too long to run all the way to it and back to the grace site. It's probably not a great spot for anyone who is further into the game but if you're only a handful of hours in I found it to be be a fairly quick way to gain like ten levels especially once you get the hang of dealing with the giants (golems). Sorry I can't remember the name of the castle off hand.

To get the maidens blood you can also travel back to where you first started off and kill the boss that killed you in the beginning and go up and there's a woman on the ground, also forgot how to get there but it's another way with a boss

I lost all my invasions on purpose cause I don't like pvp, however for that 3rd invasion we just duked it out with our fists and ngl it was pretty fun, but I started to get bored and swapped to shields

For anyone that has beat the final boss, the sacred sword “wave of gold” ability will one shot all the enemies here. Killing pretty much 10-15 of them per cast.

Now add the Golden Scarab to your equipment and eat one of those Golden Chicken feet thing to further improve this farm method. Especially with that blade

crow method is the best farming method I’ve seen so far. 11k for literally 1 arrow and it takes 10 seconds max.

For me I've had the best luck with the ice dragon breath it can reach pretty much all the way down the hill amd kills them fairly easily

White-Faced Varre wont move from the first step for me. I defeated Godrick.a while ago. I went back and talked to White-Faced and he tells me to go to the round table hold and he wont move to the Rose Church. Any ideas?

7:40, Like @emeraldo pointed out, you can hit the giant bird below the cliff edge for as much as 17k+ per bird kill if you use the gold scarab and gold pickled fowl foot. Rest at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road site of grace, turn 360 degrees and walk to the cliff edge and shoot the bird as he walks away, then he will run off the cliff to the left of the tree. If you shoot him while he is walking towards the right of the tree and gets to his closest point to you he will sometimes get stuck on the bush there. He will free himself after about 5 or 6 secs but it's annoying. I can rinse and repeat this every 15-20 secs or so. Nothing comes close to this rune farm that I have seen yet. There are many videos on how to get to Mohg's area. Some people say in the comments that the bird just stops and looks around if you shoot him but that only happens if you miss him by a little. If it does just shoot him again. Btw, I use auto-target with the pulley bow but the Erdtree or Serpent bow and also the Crepus crossbow works great too. I use one of those because the range is 50 or more.

When you at the 3rd grace (Palace Approach Ledge-road), go foward to the cliff, and look DOWN, there's a big bird wandering on the blood lake.

The fastest method i found is to go to the second place and use Hoarfrost Stomp ashes of war , it works in all builds in the game and you can get this ashes of war midgame

There is a portal that leads you straight to the palace in the snow lands northwest. You only have to kill an invader before the portal.

What is you fought him at the very beginning? Is there no way of getting into that area?

Is there anyway to get there if you killed the NPC?

If you use the Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear you can 1 shot the groups for the first area

Also if you use twiggy cracked tear in the wondrous physick mix, it will prevent rune loss while farming that second area!

When you're at the farming spot, the skill from your weapon won't aggro the monsters you don't hit. Swinging your weapon or casting a spell will aggro all of them.

How do you get to the Midpoint site of Grace when you first spawn here? Up the hill past all the undead? You didn’t show that. Is the cave up there?

Quick tip on the second farming spot. As soon as you back out of the grace shoot an arrow/bolt at the bird in the lake to your left and it will run off the edge to its death neting you 13,200 runes. You don't need to invest anything into the bow just one arrow per farm reset. Note that if can't reliably hit the bird within seconds of spawning you can ignore this as it will only cost you time. But if you can't one shot the frogs the bird is a nice farm alone.

There also a bird you can shoot with arrow once from that place on a specific spot that will make him fall down and gives 11k per kill

Only bad thing is once u hit level 100 and spend 90,000 on one level a million isn’t much

Dont forget, your level of arcane also has influence in how many runes you get from.the enemies, so if you equip items that add arcane or you just level up arcane you can get a bit more runes as well

Just fyi if you use star scourge swords special it brings in half the mob and then swing kills half of them only have to do it 2 maybe 3 times and can restart it's faster than the bird method and you don't need insane faith build
