worst part for me was trying to dodge those combos at 10 fps thanks to how poorly optimized the spell effects are. Not to mention they cover the entire screen.
I've got lions claw with heavy enchantment, bleed wasn't consistent for me and too risky, I had 99 strength 60 vigor and 25 faith for golden vow and flame grant me strength (SUPER HELPFUL BUFFS +900 DAMAGE AND MORE DMG RESIST), and 40 endurance with a ton of mind. My flask was just increased stamina recovery with FP recovery, tailsmens (erd trees favour +2, twin headed green turtle tailsmen, shard of Alexander, and dragoncrest shield (for physical DMG resist) that's pretty much it after that you gotta get used to dodging into him and avoiding the holy damage should make it slightly easier. 👍
@@Vagabond9130 Thats actually crazy bro thank you this makes a lot of sense, i never thougth about using flame grant me strength and golden vow i totally forgot about those
That first combo always stunlocks me into the last hit... I feel like I'm the only one who just can't do anything about it and it's driving me up the wall because it's the only thing keeping me from finishing the dlc
Yeah thats weird, I always get clipped by the second hit then can dodge the third combo finisher. Maybe it's because your armour poise is low? Mine was 74 during this boss fight.
Could also try dodging into radahan more, or if that doesn't work dodge into the arm that's attacking so your less likely to get hit, because of active hitbox frames.
Congratulations bro, I killed him with this sword also with the bleeding affinity and with the elixir bottle, do you think I killed him in the race like a normal guts build?
I was running the physic to increase my poise damage, but it was too inconsistant with the stagger, I'd have to attack him 3 times quickly with lions claw to stagger, I'd always lose a ton of hp trying it so I switched my playstyle a bit for just dodging and hitting once.
