Invasions using the falx combined with the ironjar aromatic. This combination was far more effective than i thought it would be! 🎮 TWITCH ➔ / chasethebroyt 📱 DISCORD ➔ / discord 🐦 TWITTER ➔ / chasethebr0 📸 INSTAGRAM➔ / chasethebro
I forgot to mention the ash of war does have a heavy attack follow up, but it does not rollcatch as its range is very limited, so it was not as effective for this setup as following up into the beginning of the ash of war again!
For real? You knew that? I'm calling you out ha ha, I don't believe you 😛It's the most meme (and damaging) part of the ash. It reminds me of the marionette soldiers when they go crazy shooting arrows. Now you'll have to make another vid showcasing the follow up. It's very effective! Easily parried though. Great vid as always.
@@nicolasvillasecaali7662if your opponent doesn't have a lot of poise, it can stun lock them. It's very devastating but, as Chase said, it pretty much locks you in place.
Your initial thoughts were correct. Once Chase got going, nothing stopped him. It was a one-sided slaughter from the beginning of this video to the end.
The display of the tracking in that invasion @11:00 is insane... tracked through a close range quickstep and just a casually 360 when you lock on after starting the AoW o.O
As a dexterity main I absolutely love these weapons. The ash of war is bonkers and it causes people to completely panic when they see you rushing towards them like a madman lol. The follow-up berserker barrage is also stupid. I really love the design as well. Reverse curved blades. One of my top three weapons from the DLC.
Can't tell you how many times Hornsent has killed me with revenger's blade only to find you can parry that attack which was satisfying to do that to him.
As much as I like the Verdigris talisman in a PvE fat roll build, that is incredibly bold to use it in PvP. Only Chase could pull it off and actually be effective with it.
Okay this is just the dual blade build i used in Mknster Hunter Generations Ultimate. The Hunter Art Fortress Walls prevents you from dashing or rolling for its duration but with Valor style dual blades you got a dash maneuver from the weapon moveset so I used that to get around whole taking no knockback. Its literally that same build but in a completely different game.
Falx was the weapon used by the Dacians in the Dacian wars against Trajan and the Roman empire... Dacia is now Romania.... Eventually the Romans won the war and captured the gold mines of Dacia but the legions were getting chopped in half and hit from behind their shields by the falx! Interesting history! The Romans has to reinforce their armor, helmets, and shields to withstand the mighty falx!
Really diggin the different equipment loads lately, chase. Love the OG look don't get me wrong, but cool seeing you branch out to other armors too. Also might be pretty cool to do play around with this build with the Death Knight Axes
We need more of this build. Ive watched a ton of your videos recently and this one was by far the best. I can not believe how many people just ran right at you without even trying to asses what your build was or if it was a good idea. I was laughing so freaking hard. Evey new fight I was like this one will be different, its gotta be, its going to be a long one I know it. But nope. Just run right at you and fail lmao
Man, i love that you explain your builds and WHY they work Learn a lot about pvp here, even ifni dont run your builds. Ive been getting better just learning about control, range, trading/overextension, etc
Aight since i dont see a comment mentioning it; the verdigris discus only works if your percentage weight is above 70%, so heavy weight will give you 10% more defense, and overloaded will give you 20% more defense (7.5 and 15% pvp). Chase is indeed heavy rolling even without ironjar aromatic, with that said though unless you're going with a ironjar build it isn't worth it (not saying ironjar builds are bad by any means, it's basically ds1 heavy armor+poise so it is still broken, but even shield builds have a lot of better talismans like spear talisman, double turtle, crimson seed, pearl shield, greatshield etc that are all better than it).
@kazanekagari5209 not really, the ironjar aromatic does not count as heavy load for the purposes of verdigris discus (and it will be heavy load/10% if it worked, not overloaded, since you can still fatroll while you have ironjar on. It's still a very strong PVE tool, possibly even the single strongest buff for a lot of fights, but it sadly does not interact with verdigris discus that way).
@@gameurai5701 Wrong talisman. The greatshield talisman reduces stamina damage while blocking and has the same value in pvp. The dragoncrest greatshield talisman increases physical negation and has a reduced value for pvp.
This is the most fun I think I've seen you have man. Also, Idk about anyone else, but I'm never invading at 150 again since this DLC. I'm at 200, and invasions are constant.
Hey Chase, awesome video! I was wondering if you had a black flame build. It's my favorite build and I wanted to see how a pro would build it. I couldn't find any relative video results on your channel
The tracking on that ash of war is insane. The ironjar aromatics are underestimated. The only addition I'd put on this build is a colossal with prayerful strike to trade those rare moves that need the extra hyperarmor, with the insane healing for added bonus.
