Had a really good time making this one!

You dont need to start as Bandit to get the Great Knife, you get them from the demi-human hiding in the bush at the start of the lakeside crystal cave, has a better drop rate and works better with DEX whereas the bloodstained dagger scales better with STR

The sweet spot for blood loss build up is 45 Arcane. With 45 Arcane you already get 108 blood loss build up with this dagger. Put the rest into strength and you get the most out of this dagger infused with blood. Attack power scales with strength with this dagger. If you want to build an Arcane Dex dagger build: Same 45 Arcane, but use the great knife instead. It scales with dex when infused with blood. Pure Arcane Occult build: Reduvia is the best..

Great video! Short and sweet with a ton of info. Hey, quick thought - I was just now starting a Bandit class and they start with the Great Knife dagger which is pretty much identical to the Bloodstained dagger; both having native bleed. I believe they also are a rare drop from some demi-humans. So potentially that much easier to get good starting gear.

I honestly really like this build its straight forward, decently easily to obtain, plus you leave just enough room open for us to make are own tweaks. Idk how good bleed builds are anymore but I still want to give this one a try. Thanks for laying it out so well.

The bandit class starts with the great knife and that has bleed on it and the bandit class has 14 arcane so its great for bleed builds, if u put blood blade on the great knife it hits like a truck, carried me all the way to the mountaintops

An alternative for armor if you don't mind losing the white mask buff, in Ordina you can find the Black knife armor set which makes you completely silent if wearing the whole set

The Reduvias are top notch for a dagger bleed build. The reduvia blade skill quickly stacks up into the thousands if done in quick succession; highest ive gotten was 13k dmg on an enemy in the mountaintops

Great video! I am currently on a bandit with Reduvia in main hand because I love the mid range attack built into it. In the other hand currently have Misericorde which I slapped blood affinity on. Seems to be working very well so far but since I have not improved either weapon yet, would my Great Knife be better than the Misericorde? I liked the high crit on it but could easily swap it out at this point!

Great Knife is one of the only 2 weapons with bleed that reach A scaling in Arcane with the Occult affinity (alongside Spiked Club) so it's certainly BiS for this kind of build. Endure also carries this set-up unfathomably hard.

If your running the knives in pvp or want less bleed dependent damage chright made a video about it, the best ar from a non special dagger is the celebrants sickle also the godskin swaddling cloth dose a rotten sword type eccect but with helth regen instead of damage

while this is good i think getting a [Reduvia] and the [great knife] from the bandit starting class is better, at least until you get a second [Reduvia] or trade in patches emporium. the great knife also has bleed (i think around 35 or so not sure tho) and it scale with dex which i think its better than the strength scaling for a knife build. I got the [great knife] from a demihuman outside of lakeside crystal cave but i am not sure on the drop rate so maybe check on the wiki before starting the farm.

Or keeping the sepent curved sword on your hip gives the being effect on defeat as well

would dual reduvias be better if you could get 2? also, didnt dual wielding status effects receive a huge nerf? isnt it better to one hand a curve sword with bleed or something? genuinely curious

i loooove rocking the black knife armor, 1000% assassin armor, makes 0 sound whatsoever and most enemies don’t engage me until they directly see me

This seems like the perfect build that could utilize ENDURE Gives you hyper armour and mega defense Add the dragoncrest greatshield talismam with stamina/armour And youll still have all the damage you have but about 3-4X more defense And un-interuptable hyper armour

Since it's an easy dagger to farm, I wonder if its worth having a third one with determination on it so you can get you lifesteal going without being staggered out of your combo in boss fights. Keep the gambit dagger in the back pocket and swap it in while exploring.

Daggers are one weapon I have never experimented with. How do you feel they stack up against claws and curved swords? They initially appeared to me to be in an awkward place, but it does look fun and this far into the games cycle isn’t that why we’re all here.

killed that dumb thing like 150 times for the daggers to drop and never got a single one

Weren’t status effects when power stanced (blood build up) severely nerfed a while back?

The black blade set is ery assassin like it's even in the description and your completely silent,but,,,you can't get it until consecrated snowfields

not sure if it's worth mentioning but the imp ashes also apply bleed

having the main dagger being assassin's gambit seems like a waste, so many other options that you can utilize past the initial contact, endure, royal knights resolve, blood hound step. Same with the dagger talisman, drop that and take lord of blood, if you have milicents and its your first play through put on the regular winged sword since they boost eachother, a lot of things can be done to utilize more DPS vs initial burst. There daggers, you're not going to poise break that often so having something that is more consistent will be better in the long run.

My most favourite combination is a bleed dagger and a cold dagger in the other hand.. Why? Because bleed is simply too good in the game. I want to get blood loss with a 3 hit combo with small enemies. Blood talisman is also one of the best in the game. Also blood blade is one of the best ashes of war in the game.. It melts fire giant, dragons, great against invaders and it only uses 3 FP on those daggers. (Reduvia needs 6fp, however it throws a bit farther and you dont lose HP when intially using it) Frost on the other hand with over 100 frost build up is doing it thing on its on. At one point it will trigger frost, and at that time 20% more damage not only for you, but in coop for the entire team.. Yeah.. If bleed and frost triggers, 40% boost right there with the blood talisman and frost. I have also have a blood and frost spiked spear setup and a frost great star bonk weapon which still has 50 initial blood loss build up. I did not touch the intelligence stat.. 45 arcane and 60 strength.. 105 frost and 108 blood loss build up.. It does the trick.. I really have fun with those weapons and the fast play style..

Ngl i have a idea of adding reduiva and using only one dagger and if possible putting blood blade on the occult dagger

You should use occult or bleed and just decide do you want use str or acr (also pls level up vig to 58-60)

Idk if maybe Im doing something wrong but im at Rhadan with +11s and its not proccing and barely does damage

didnt they reduce the amount of status buildup if you dual wield weapons with the same status effect? wouldnt that make eleonoras poleblade a far better option for a bleed build?

Bandit Knife also has innate bleed on it and is easier to get 2 of in the early game

I am using daggers now for weeks and I cant go back to curved swords.. They feel so shlow and clunky.. lol

I think they nerfed this because I put a blood affinity on mine and its up to its old base of 84

Don't like the Bloodstained Dagger...it scales with STR. I still prefer the Great Knife you can find somewhere; or can start with...then rush to Stormveil to get the Misericorde.

Pretty sure the thief starting weapon has bloodloss buildup.

Why have the dagger talisman over running millicents & rotten? Yes you can get some crits in, but being able to consistently have even higher dps during fights(since you don't have great stagger with daggers) is much more valuable Edit: also omen killer rolo ashes had the highest bleed build up for a summon!

If you want to progress on your first playthrough as fast as possible, this is not the build.

This build...so there is such a thing as an easy mode for Elden Ring

I'm sorry but this build is quite bad. First of all Bloodstained Dagger has inate bleed; why are you putting your offhand dagger on Blood? You should just put both daggers on Occult affinity, level up Acane to 80 and just put enough Strength and Dex to equip the daggers. Also 40 Vigor is quite low for a dagger build, higher level enemies could easily two shot you especially since daggers are not great at poise breaking.

2 hours later and the demi human still hasn’t dropped a single dagger🥲
