I really liked the intro visuals the most. The cuts of the woods were very ominous, and served the general atmosphere of the song very well. Happy to state the obvious lol.
At the beginning it’s a very messy song with little rhythm, formless like the fire. Near to the end it becomes more defined in a waltz rhythm, dancing like the flame.
I wish you could have that flaming eye as a helmet for NG+ if you did the Frenzied Flame ending in the base game. It just looks so mesmerizing (especially in HDR).
Given that this guy is just... Sorta there in the DLC all about Miquella... And that his theme has the Nomadic Merchants' lullaby... I think its safe to say that the Nomadic Merchants' lullaby is probably, canonically a gift from Miquella to soothe the Frenzy. Even though that content got cut.
I still wonder whose spine made that Torch. I see bone ridges and the outline in his back so I don't believe other's theory that it was his own spine. It's simply so beautiful. Those graceful, sweeping motions, the beautiful gold, the slow flicker filling the room, that adrogynous tone in the singing, it's all so delightful.
@@Milliondollarcup Nanaya seems to be his wife? Apparently you find her holding it, it could be she fashioned it. I dare say she made it to try defending herself as the Inquisitors began to torture more of their servants. Since the Flame could theoretically destroy their spirits, it is at least valid weapon, if ineffective.
"Enough... I have endured, more than enough... I Ask you to forgive me, Dearest Nanaya..." Such a Spine Chilling-Moment... May you rest now, in eternal slumber.
Why does this guy get the best OST, best design, best area (with Abyssal Woods turning Elden Ring into a horror game), and overall second best boss visuals (taking into account the boss arena, the spells it uses etc, my favorite being Bayle) in the whole dlc, yet it somehow bears no relation to Miquella at all? They put some incredible work in this dlc, but this guy seems so out of place, yet it's the one I'd say the devs have put the most work into.
Best area in atmosphere and theme terms. Gameplay, when you get to midras manse, gets a bit boring and obnoxious. But wow, was the graphics and atmosphere there amazing
