I wonder if using dual pickaxes would be better for the Simple Slayer. Since they are pierce attacks, they have the counter and poise break advantages of both spears and great hammers.

My theory on wearing the Silver Mail goes as follows: You were once a proud and powerful Dire Wolf, companion of a skilled Albinauric Archer who you deeply loved and respected. However, in one tragic and fateful night, you were attacked, by the terrifying WEREHUMAN! The werehuman was violent and uncivilized, he attacked you and your companion with unmatched ferocity, jumping high into the air aiming his deadly spear at your rider's heart! But, the werehuman wasn't fast enough, not as fast as you. With lightning quick reflexes, you threw back your body and saved your partner from the attack, but sadly, she was the one who was too slow to react. Thrown off your back and into the ground, her unmoving legs made her unable to escape the werehuman's follow up attack, a bite going straight for her neck! Despite your speed, you could never have been prepare for the sheer ferocity of the werehuman, his bloodlust so extreme that he twisted his own ankles from the strength of his lunge. With no time to think, you did the only thing you could have done, you jumped in between the monster and your friend, protecting her with your very own body. Not a second after the beasts fangs bore into your shoulder, three magic arrows impaled the creature's forehead, killing it instantly. But it was too late... For a moment, everything went red, your body was engulfed by pain. Pain, and hunger. A hunger so severe that the only thing you could think of, was saying it. In a surge of violence, the beast who you became murdered your beloved owner, and devoured her flesh. But while your body was not yours, still there was the very last sliver of your conscience, the one that would have vanished in only few seconds, but remained there only due to how recent the transformation had been. You saw everything, the pain and hurt in her eyes as she died, the tears staining the snow on the ground, the blood on your own hands... And as you saw it, you were possessed by rage, and sorrow, emotions so powerful they burned every single nerve inside you, and before your soul vanished forever, you anchored yourself in the wrath and pain, screaming so hard that your lungs hurt, and as you heard your own scream, you realized that your body was still your own. But now... You were no wolf, nor were you human. You were a monster, a deranged fusion of both tied together by hate and fury. Only, your hate was lucid and your fury cold, you weren't a mindless creature such as the one who attacked you, you weren't a werehuman. No, you were still yourself, the very wolf whose hide that woman used to ride proudly on, you were... The WereWOLF. After that night, you inherited your late master's armor, not only as a reminder of the one you loved, as well as the pain that made you who you are, but also as an oath. An oath to carry out her will with your own beastly hands.
