The only way to survive against a swinging elder dragon is the sump monument, though, with the 150 puffshrooms shoved down your throat, i suppose that hardly matters. The fact of the matter is, it's just another alt win con, like Star Spring or Ryze lvl 2. You won't even be able to level her up most of the time, just think of how hard it is to level up Volibear and then literally add 50% to the requirement. May as well treat her as a 1 lvl champion.

I'm a PoC player, and I can definitely confirm that it goes on red color when swapbot lowers your targeted unit's HP by swapping. Trust me I hate that bot card so much lmao

The only way to technically "stop" the Elder Dragon from one shotting your nexus is if you use that Demacian card that exchanges HP for Nexus HP, and theoretically, you could make that card have 100 HP and transfer it to your nexus causing a 100 HP Nexus.

Note about Deathless: It's confirmed that Deathless works just like Kindred's Champ Spell. Resummons the unit with 1 HP, and breaks all targetting effects. You can't simply chain Vengeance to a Mystic and kill the resummon. Deathless is insanely good because it GUARANTEES you get to get at least some value out of the unit because they cannot remove it before you can attempt to play a unit or slow spell after it's on the board. They can remove the first one, but not the resummon before you get priority and can play a unit.

I assume it works like rock bottom from the binding of isaac, where if a stat is to be modified, the higher one of the old and new stats is kept, so "negatively" modifying is impossible Ps. I know rock bottom remembers your stats and all but it was the best example I could think of

Note about Heisho, it says “each round, the first card you play” not “the first card I see you play.” So if I’m not mistaken the discount will not going into effect until the next round, hence the spellshield

The only way to win or stop him (temporary) is just here. *Stop him to get lvlup by winning faster. *Discard him while in hand/or kill him when he is lvl 1. *Stack gorlith (its not an easy option in a real match) by raising your nexus HP. but next round start will be terrible, i belive u wont survive 2nd, 3rd swing. *Sump monument + azir??? (its the same thing as gorlith) Datsit.

Here are some cool synergies I've come up with: Sejuani- since Sejuani is a 6 drop ED will apply his boon to her thus buffing her. Furthermore, if you manage to plunder and activate Sejuani's boat you're almost certainly going to level up ED since all your units have their attack doubled. Frejlord also have ramp which can make it easier to ramp to ED or your other big boys. Volibear- amazing for ramp and interaction, not to mention with Warmother's Call giving you the ability to summon Voli and ED from your deck you get amazing value for that. Mordekaiser- since we know Mord's kit is about revival this will be really great for ED especially since you also have Atakhan which not only summons another big boy for you but he also racks up a lot of power which will level up ED very quickly. Thresh- for obvious reasons. Shyvana- also for obvious reason. In other words ED seems like a really cool champion and I don't think he's restricted just for dragon decks which can make him shine in many cool decks.

This guy is a huge buff for Asol in PoC. Imagine when you fight against Asol and suddenly this guy lv2 appears out of nowhere.

I'm with the "kill it before it levels" crowd. Elder dragon isnt the first champ card to be like that, but his level up condition is really hard against a control or generally aggressive deck. Yeah, it would be cool to get huge, but if the opponent sees you have dragon in your deck, they are gonna just try to keep your units low.

Even if you find a way to stop him, remember that he cannot be stopped.

I had an idea, would buried in ice work on him? Cause technically buried in ice doesn’t remove them from the board. Also technically its not modifying the actual card at all it’s just putting him in an icy tomb time out😂 capture might also work for similar reasons but is less likely to work than buried in ice is, I think.

I think a non-combat strike with enough power to destroy its health could kill the Elder Dragon. If it's not, then I don't know what is.

I think a Barrier deck with lee sin can work because you can use a barrier to block hits on your nexus thereby slowing the requirements for Elder dragon's level up. Fiora might also be a good idea cuz you just need to kill four units with her to win.

ED can level outside an attack if you have attacked with 75+ power earlier. So he levels when you play him.

In my opinion, Elder Dragon is like the Yu-Gi-Oh Ex-Purely Noir card, which cannot be affected by other cards, but it can be removed by forcing the player who plays it to remove it himself.

Swapbot cant switch the Statline because its a "Play" Effect. Swapbot must be played for the Effect to take Place. Elder Dragon levels up IN AN ATTACK so Swapbot cannot be played.

Im thinking about ionia. You use normal follower to attack, he got blocked and then you use some ionia swap place card and swap your Elder with this random follower to attack. It isn't anything negative, am I right?

The game treats swaps as a buff/debuff so a negative swap wouldn't affect the Elder Dragon. If you swap with a 40/30 it would give +10/+0, but if you try it with the 4/3 it would be a -26/-27 debuff so it wouldn't apply.
