OOOOOH thank you so much for the reaction, it was truly fun/interesting to see because i feel like most of is fans can relate with the first feeling of “what is this?” This comeback isn’t really a comeback cuz the chorus of this song was made live with the fans and they liked it so much that they, out of nowhere, decided continue the work on it and released it. But it has zero promotions. I would recommend you checking out their proper comebacks, like their debut song “Wait for you”, their latest comeback before this one “WAY 4 LUV” and if you wanna check one of their dance practices “Why?” is also a really fun song. “The 6th summer” is a favorite within the fandom although that MV is entirely animated and not them using mocap:) thank you again for the reaction!!!!🙏
point taken! I think i will check out their debut, I really dig them, thank you for the recommendations! I really do like this concept, i find them very fascinating! Thank you!
Thank you for reacting to Plave! Others have already recommended their title tracks, but one of my fav side tracks would be “Watch me woo!” (You should see their dance stage for this one) and their cover of “You were beautiful (예뻤어)”. Their vocals are really good in this one! 💙💜💗❤️🖤
those will probably be next! I did 6th Summer today! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OTADUWkoa3o.html I really like their work thus far!
Heck yeah, Plave is very good at making rock. I used to think rock was only sad or serious music till my dad said otherwise. Plave really creates music that makes me happy
yes! I think that is a common thought as well! I agree! Plave is very happy! I like it! here is a new one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OTADUWkoa3o.html
Omg!!! I always watch your Super Junior reactions! And love that you give Plave a chance!!! I adore Plave’s talents, they self-produce their songs and choreos. Fun fact, they actually made this song on live stream and it’s so good they decided to release it as a single! I know you love pop rock, you gonna love Plave! They have a band feeling on them. In pump up the volume, You can hear the musicians who played the instruments were having fun, the drum, the guitar, the keyboard and the bass..! So good. Also their covers and live singings are amazing! I recommend Noah’s one ok rock cover and eunho bamby’s never ending story (this one is live so they’re not that serious, just to give you a gist of how playful but still sound good they are ^^)
@@Killdeer25 OMG I'ms so excited!! If you are going on more rockish theme, I recommend Noah's One Ok Rock"Where ever you are" and Noah & Eunho The Cross "Don't Cry (This one is a rock ballad, one of Plave's legendary cover before their debut. Like they're so playful but still impressive TT)
I was also like you in thinking that their music was going to be very poppy and electronic. But some of their music is actually pretty good. So far all of their title tracks have rock influence so I'm here for it. I'm not in their fandom but I like their other title tracks "Wait for you (debut)" and "Way 4 Luv"
Very interesting. I mean I liked the song. And I get what you're saying about giving the singers anonymity for sure. And prior to getting into kpop I never paid attention to the actual members of bands I liked, I was always more of a listener than a follower of groups/singers so as long as the songs were good, I didn't need to know much about the people singing. But a lot of the fun for me with kpop has been knowing all the members of the groups and being a fan of the idols as well as their music. So in that sense being a fan of a virtual group seems boring. Like I didn't find these characters felt like anything other than an animated mv, not like real characters. I can't imagine feeling like a member is my bias for example. Which is fine too. But I think it would feel cringey to me if they were getting interviewed or doing behind the scenes stuff as if they were actually people (although I imagine they do that). But yeah, it's an interesting concept. But good music is good music, if I like a song I'll listen to it. Also if you're doing virtual idols now, SM just debuted Naevis, who is also a fully cgi idol but also maybe is voiced by AI? I heard fans saying they thought her voice was a blend of all the Aespa members (I personally think she looks and sounds like Wendy from Red Velvet). Naevis is the main good character in Aespa's lore, they've interacted with her and helped her in her fight against the Black Mamba character, so now she has debuted in her own right as a spin -off from them. I'm only loosely invested because I love Aespa. The debut song Done was alright.
PLAVE are real people though. The ones doing the movements are the same as the ones singing because it’s all motion captured. It’s not like multiple people are controlling one model. They interact with fans in real time through livestreams, so it’s not like there isn’t a personality to get attached to.
yeah, its a double edged sword there, I think you can still roughly have a good time with having biases in the group, sure its different, but the nice thing is they are still people, from what I understand the people behind the group go and do all the normal idol stuff they just get mapped over with these AVATARs at least thats what I have heard, feels like CORPSE Husband lol I have debated on Naevis, I dont know, what do you think?
Hello ^^. I just want to discuss with you a bit. I totally understand if you're don't like being a fan of a virtual group or feel cringe at 2D/3D characters or don't find fun in watching them but your judgments/reasons about Plave is incorrect. Or rather, you don't seem to really understand how they work. Plave is actually 5 real people using REAL-TIME MOTION CAPTURE technology (meaning 'MOTION CAPTURE and REAL-TIME RENDERING'). Their technology helps them NOT really need post-production, editing so they can do live streams in REAL TIME to communicate with fans to build and strengthen the fandom. You can understand it simply as a whole body filter on a human like the way traditional idols turn on the rabbit ears or frog eyes filter when they live stream. So every video you see of them is the actions, expressions, and words they are doing in REAL LIFE. They are NOT voice actors or only singers. They are not acting according to any pre-written script. They are 5 REAL-LIFE idols who always wear digital masks . They can sing, dance, compose music, create their own choreography, feel sad, happy, tired, cry, have their own personalities, hobbies, and strengths like any other traditional idols. So just seeing their digital appearance doesn't have any influence on many people seriously becoming their fans. Their fans fully know each member's talents, weakness, personalities, etc. Aren't those things enough to decide to become a fan of someone? ^^
@@nerasomnia ah, ok. That's interesting, so the singers are always still there portraying the characters in real time, not just recording songs and voices and then being done. I definitely get it from the singers' perspective of getting to be idols but not having a million fans knowing their real selves. I enjoy the fandom aspect of kpop and following idols and not just music. I'm far too old to be disillusioned that it's not a persona they put on anyway, but even while I enjoy it for the entertainment it's always toeing the line knowing how little privacy and downtime they get. Me an NCT fan, my feed full of never ending videos of Doyoung breaking down onstage and videos speculating on the whole mess. I really wish they could all just go on hiatus, not as a punishment but just to give them time to process and deal with it. So yeah, I get the positives of a group like Plave for sure.
@@Killdeer25 For me the only interest Naevis holds is that she's part of Aespa's lore and I'm anticipating that her 'career' will just be kind of like Aespa bonus material. But you haven't delved into Aespa's lore much (even I lost track, I don't get how the new album relates). So aside from that is she worth checking out? The song wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on if her voice is backed by a real singer or if it is actually AI generated. But I could look that up myself lol. I mean if nothing else, it's SM's first digital idol from a company known for it's talented real idols. I would hate to see this become the focus for SM and they stop debuting the best talents in the industry.
