theUSpopulation I feel like they maybe should have made a thing where you can’t see other players in special rooms like these. It takes away from supposedly being the “chosen one”
Same voice actor as Brynjolf. When they first start talking all I could hear was “Never done an honest day’s work in your life for all that gold you’re carrying, eh lad?”.
@@Grrimhildr yep, and that’s why they had lots of text, to not bore you with the Same generic voice lines, you can use the voice in your head to fit a character how you see fit, unless you lack the capacity for that and every bit of information has to be tipped into your ear, into your brain until it settles, less voice acting gives more freedom compared to in game speech, while dialogue gives an aura of repetitive, boring, blatantly bad work
@@boyo7918 Literally one of the biggest reasons I couldn't really get into it despite putting in 150+ hours. All the players jumping around with flashy pets and shit just ruin the experience. Not to mention progression/combat is just atrocious. The same rat, in the late game, takes the same amount of time to kill as in the beginning. Gross.
@@thisisaname5589 People are really quick to judge, aren’t they? The claim about Nerevar’s murder was never proven, nor will ever be, as I suspect. Morrowind prospered under the Tribunal’s rule for 3000 years. And only about 450 years passed between Dagoth Ur’s awakening and his demise, with Kagrenac’s tools being lost only 10 years before the Nerevarine.
@@Saber2793 Or, hear me out, they could have destroyed the heart like they were supposed to. And kept Azura as a patron. She was already protecting them. And had Nerevar as a leader (because Kirkbride himself has indicated that yes, Nerevar was murdered,) for the full lifespan of a Chimer.
Vivec confessed to the murder in two coded message in the Sermons (the famous FOUL MURDER message, and the harder to find but much more explicit "He was not born a god. He stole the power and murdered the Hortator. Vivec wrote this.")
@@thisisaname5589 Yes, they could have destroyed the Heart, but there is no way to know if this act would benefit their people more than using the Heart. They obviously thought it wouldn't. Information provided on Nerevar's fate still does not give us a straight answer as to what exactly happened between him and the Tribunal. Kirkbride himself stated that this shall remain a mystery, and all his hints are circumstantial evidence at best. As for the Daedra, they are all capricious, cruel and utterly untrustworthy beings. Even Azura, though she's better than most. The way she punished an entire race for the "crimes" of three individuals is quite telling. I know I would not follow a deity like a Daedric Prince.
HOW COULD YOU BE SO NAIVE? THERE IS NO ESCAPE. NO RECALL OR INTERVENTION CAN WORK IN THIS PLACE! COME! LAY DOWN YOUR WEAPONS, FOR IT IS NOT TOO LATE FOR MY MERCY.
After achieving CHIM: Talos:" I'm going to reshape my country and bring about a age of prosperity for my people! Almalexia: "After promptly killing my friend who also has CHIM somehow, I'm going to shower the world with love and mercy!" Sotha Sil "I'm going to devote my powers to unraveling the mysteries of the universe!" Vivec: "I'm going to fuck something weird."
they still all attained divinity through various means, and while chim is way more powerful than mere godhood and almalexia and sortha sila's state was misnamed the joke still works. one could argue that godhood is a form of chim too.
OneFourFive The Trial was a roleplay between a few developers and fans, therefore hardly able to be called canon in any way. As far as I'm concerned it's never been mentioned in a main game, at all. CHIM on the other hand HAS been mentioned, most notably in Mankar's commentaries, but can we really believe a nuts altmeri devout of Mehrunes Dagon? We know it's a thing but not exactly what it does. As happens with most of TES' lore, we just cannot be sure. The reason why I am skeptical about Vehk achieving CHIM is the fact that he's known to be a good liar, (Seht spoke about it himself at one point IIRC) and he's shrouded in mystery for the most part, like the other tribunes. Even if he DID, we still don't know what CHIM is for sure. Is it just a state of awareness and enlightenment? Does it grant powers? We Just Don't Know
Finding vivec in morrowind was awesome and seeing his animations and just seeing a good type demi god, then there's this. So underwhelming cause of everyone in the temple the scene took away from how awesome getting into the temple was with all those other players.
Yeah, what really rubbed me wrong about Vivec in ESO was how grounded and sassy they depicted him to be. Instead of being aloof, seductive and incomprehensible, he was just some dude being your chummy acquaintance.
@@Kazuhira2249 I wish we could have at least gotten a brief peak at Dagoth-Ur and the Aqulakhan in ESO not a full on encounter mind you but a view from a distance at least
I’m trying to take this moment seriously, but knowing the deeplore, I can’t help but stare at the spear on Vivec’s back, knowing what it *really* is, and who it belonged to. 💀
The cut voice of Vivec from Morrowind is way better in a way that makes you question his divinity and benevolence - In "How the hell this guy is a God?" Kinda way -. Here, his voice is just some generic fantasy God.
logan tbh okay first, bethesda didn't make it so they weren't lazy not having the same voice. As for the glow, I think that's just the game having light reflect off characters. The fact he's radiating the power makes him look glowy.
I'm not talking bout the glow. I'm talking about his actual skin being shiny, as well as gold/blue. It should be coloured gold/grey, since he's half chimer and half dunmer. He shouldn't be shiny either.
his dialogue is very limited for a poet, sotha sil had a more fleshed out dialogue. also shouldn't he have both female and male voices play at the same time??? considering he is both
@@Sehtlimbo is there a floating two faced demi god poet in real life??? what kind of stupid question is that ? i'm speaking about an artistic choice in a fantasy setting where the rules are bent to the extreme
People who say Vivec isn't a god don't know shit about the lore. Almalexia and Sotha Sil are false gods, but Vivec is a true one because he achieved CHIM, just like Tiber Septim.
CHIM does not make you a god. Talos where 3 persons who achieved CHIM and one was a Dragonborn and Immortal to achieved godhood.Otherwise every player since Morrowind would be a God.
Maybe they became, just unknown ones. Achieving CHIM provides escape from all known restrictions and incomprehensible power to alter reality. If that isn't godhood, them nobody is a god in tes. Also, there are different types of gods in TES with different degrees of power. There are the primal forces (Anu, Padomay), the Aedra, the Daedra, Magna-Ge, other varieties of divine spirits, and mortals who have trasncended, like Talos and Vivec.
Gods in TES are beings who gave up power for the sake of creating the Realm of Mundus. The reason for the Dragon break in TES 2 was Talos turning into a God by taking Shores (or Lorkahn for Elves )place which was Shores plan, to reincarnated himself and avoid ever dying because now Talos always was a god who was always a part of him because to be born CHIME is to be born as an Avatar of Shore(Vivec was not born CHIME he became) . Gods in TES are just the aedra and Talos because of that all other powerful beings are defined otherwise.
Can you provide the name of which book states that that's the definition of a God in TES? The Gods that gave up power to create Nirn are the Aedra. There are indeed other types of gods in the lore. The book "Varieties of Faith in the Empire" shows this, as well as the names and pantheons.
no, sadly I forgot but Boethia in Skyrim laughs at you for calling her a god because no aedra would act like her, that I remember from my head . also the books in TES are from a subject viewpoint and often false
Duuuuuude I was so triggered by his voice because I KNEW I heard it begore and I was right! The voice actor for Vivec also voiced the Prophet of Regret in Halo 2!
'Fan service'. It was a mistake to implement the Vivec character in this way, as he was far more iconic as an isolationist type. Beside, if the game developers truly wished for him to appear more active, Vivec's visage would have been better observed outside the Temple as opposed to just floating around in one spot.
Well I expected him to sound to sound like this, then apparently I've heard that he has some unused voice in the game files, and yes its sounds weird and unfit.
I don't like that he seems so nice. In Morrowind, even despite his past heroic deeds I got the impression by the time he got to position at Vivec Temple he was a lot colder and emotionless.
Vivec actually turned himself into a hermaphrodite, a lot of the lore of the elder scrolls is in fact inspired by Hinduism, it's pretty interesting stuff.
@@midnightinparadise489 need to shit on the new game - some people do that no matter what. Oblivion? Morrowind was better! Skyrim? Oblivion was better. ESO? Skyrim was better.... and so on...
@@Kris.G in the game itself, you don't ever hear vivec, but there are unused audio files of vivec where he basically sounds like satan. it's very different from the voice used in eso. i guess people don't like that he sounds so much more pleasant here, but i personally like his eso voice.
I feel like the people who designed TESO didn't actually play Morrowind or know the lore. Why is half of Vivec blue? Half should be Dunmer and the other Chimer. Not shiny blue...
So theres the delima. Vivec was not a god, neither of the three tribunal gods, they used the dwemer tools on lorkhans heart to achieve godhood(if im well informed) In a way, that makes em gods,in another way they are still the mortals they were, they still have the mind, they are physical beings, daedra arent necesseraly phtsical beings, they use a physical form. Azura, is a daedric prince, she was made because the two first gods divided their souls, she is not mortal.(i dont remember names i thinks it was auriel, sithis etc)and actually cared about her people too, she can be cruel but she is loving too, and if i recall correctly she helped the chimer a lot, other than that she welcomes mortals into her obliviom realm, im not the lore king, and thats a prob, but really who is truly a god? Who truly deserves worship? is it her? Or the tribunal, or the 8+1 divines?
Only a few, there's also a dozen others. Some famous, Queen Ayrenn of the Aldmeri Dominion is voiced by Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) and King Emeric of the Daggerfall Covenant, Bill Nighy (also Underworld lol). Generic npc's only have a standard number of VA's but most important npc's are uniquely voiced.
