Love how the comments are full of people praising or hating one or the other, but in the video they have a very reasonable discussion where they agree on a surprising amount.

Thank you Gina and Godfrey for making it clesr you are both what I would call, decent, nice people. Gina there's one thing I heard you say on TV, that frankly scared the pants off me, and that was "Government gives us our Rights"This in fact goes to the heart of why I am so opposed to the EU, and why the EU is so inherently dangerous and doomed to fail. It is supposed to be The People, that gives Government its Rights, and constrain its Power in doing so. It's a fundamental of the Rule of Law and its denial of Power (because nobody can be trusted with it). What you said is an expression of the opposite, which is the lawless State's assumption of the proven lie and despotic tyranny of Divine Right. By every definition, this is what the EU has done, and there isn't enough money in the World to compensate for the real dangers that creates for the People of Europe and the UK. You can't fix lawless States, they inevitably fail, that failure is usually catastrophic, and usually accompanied by great bloodshed. That's why I want all member Nations out of the EU asap, before it crashes and burns. Best wishes to you both, Bob.

I'd love to have seen the full monty, bloopers an' all, as I recon they both enjoyed each others company to the point where Godders could drop a few one liners & Gina could have a good laugh at them like the rest of us do when he's on form :)

Although I'm not too keen on Mr Blooms politics, being a Yorkshireman I would not expect anything but civility from him when speaking with Ms Miller on a one to one. Liked it.

For a start trade is between companies of individual`s not between Governments. We need Company director`s to do the negotiating not Politician`s or Civil Servant`s.

sadly people truly believe their votes give power.all it does is to allow participation that is designed to pacify the poor which is the core intent of democracy. i was told i had a say that's it. i was so happy until i discovered i never had power. the cycle repeats.

Godfrey is a splendid chap, yes just Leave, no bill to pay - although it would be awfully nice if the EU offered to repay some of the net £xx,000,000,000s net UK taxpayers have been paying them over the last 47 years. Oh I'm pretty sure British and European customers and manufacturers will still want to trade if governments don't stop them. Perhaps Miller would feel more comfy in, say, Guyana?

Most leavers I've spoken to know precisely that the EU is a political union & protectionist trading block. However, most remainers I spoke to at the same time back in 2016 thought that we were leaving Europe. I had to explain to the remainers that the UK is on the same tectonic plate as Europe & as such it would be nigh on impossible for the UK to leave Europe for tens of millions of years LOL. They then would say things like "What is a tectonic plate??." I found something that helped the explanation though by saying that Europe is a continent comprised of about 54 countries & the EU comprises of only 28 member states including the UK :)

You don't need to be in the EU to trade with the EU. China trades with the EU every day, and China is not in the EU. The UK does not need to be in the EU. The EU is the continuation of Germany by other means.
