As you point out the thumb one has four wires etc. (So I wonder why one needs one more than the other?) Anyway the 4 wires are Orange Grey Blue Black Qs: - what did u do with your spare Blue? - should I treat the Orange as a Red? - should I treat the Grey as White? Wha
Sorry Bubbles, if you're there, scrub that first comment. Those colours were from the thumb throttle to a mini connector. The wires from the mini connector to the Control Box are: Red White Black ...so no probs! Thanx again for being there. LLox
another great video. I'm a little confused about the last red wire though. What did you do with it? Also, isn't it easier or more practical to simply cut the thumb throttle off at the handlebar side and fit the twist throttle there? I guess that's not as elegant as you'll have taped wire there maybe? Finally, where do you get the thumb throttle from?
Hi I’ve got a Super73 RX and was thinking of fitting a Domino twist throttle. The only thing is my S73 has a. Hall type signal and the domino has a pot type . Will I need to fit an inline resistor ?

Hi there - Just bought a Swytch kit and they haven’t sent the PAS, so I bought a thumb throttle off amazon, but have been told I need to re-wire it to work with Swytch ie change the red and black wires - will this work?? Any advice appreciated!
I bought the BAIZIFU DIY Electric Bike Conversion kit 250W Brushless Motor and Controller,Electric Bike Booster kit Waterproof Ebike Conversion Kit Friction Drive Bicycle Kit (36V-48V for (16-26 inch Bicycle). No wiring instructions. The problem is the wires to the throttle do not exactly match the wires from the controller. The throttle has red, black and white wires and the controller has red, black and yellow. Do I connect the white wire to the yellow wire? Your video by the way is the best one on wiring on the internet.
got a sxt 1600w lead acid scooter, trying to swap out broken throttle... problem is from the throttle theres red, black, green, white, yellow, brown wires. from the controllor theres blue, yellow, green,white, black, brown, red, grey wires. do you know which wires i have to solder together and which wires i do by the colour? im really stuck on this
Hi I have just bought a new controller and it came with a throttle but it’s confusing on how to wire it up on the throttle it has 5 wires but on the controller it has lots of different cables coming off of it they are labels but not sure where to put them as the colours don’t correspond. Hi B loving the videos its about time somebody covers these same bikes and its crazy because your doing all the stuff i have wanted to do for ages. I have bought the throttle with the LED battery indicator and ignition key with it, there are 5 wires on it as follows. One black block connector with green red black and two separate wires blue female bullet connector and yellow male bullet connector. Do you know where thery will connect to on my same bike controller.?

Hi I bought an e-bike that was a conversion kit put together the speed control box has six wires coming out and the twist throttle on putting on only has five I had the extra brown wire hooked up to Yellow which was constant power in the wheel would just spend when I turn the key no it's not doing anything and riding it for weeks like that all rigged up
24v 250watt has 4 wire throttle broken need to find out where to connect the yellow yellow green red to run motor is the double yellow wires the same wire? and does connecting green to yellow make it one speed and the red to yellow to up the speed and if so is there a preferred order? like would i connect green to yellow first then red to yellow or red to yellow first then green to yellow? does it matter? please please get back to me i am going nuts and don't want to burn any circuits on what few parts i have, thanks in advance
Hi there, I enjoyed your video. I'm having problems with a diy kit I just finished putting together. It's a 2000 watt 72 volt kit. I finally got it working but it barely moves. I did some research for the display settings. The bike is not working at all now. I can hear the controller for sure but seems the throttle is dead. Hi on phace wire from ebike and hall wires from controller they are different connectors bullet and lug so can I cut wires on both and use choc block connection. But what amps if possible that's the connection wires in two sides then tighten the screws. I no some use solder I'm looking for a quick way but affective thanks
Hi I just hit a Bafang controller and on the pictures it says the pedal assist connector is red white and black,but the connection from my candance sensor is red black and blue. I've never seen pedal assist wires red black and white so if this correct what is the correct combination.so from my bike it's red black and blue and from the Bafang controller it's red white and black not in the same order just explaining the colours any help please .
Heyho, thanks for the explenation, although it didn't work for me. I think my entire controller is broken (China 2008 Ware). For some reason my Motor has no brand and has 8Pins. I somehow cannot find a motor with 8pins only 9. Am I missing something?
Hi pal not sure if you onow the answer to this but i have the throttle installed and it works fine but what im unable to do is use the key on the throttle it does nothing and i would like it to be able to turn the S80 LCD on and off but i dont know which wires to connect. Can you advise

Using 4 wire thumb throttle w volt display. Connected yellow wire to red controller cable. Should I just leave the blue one hanging? I can see volts but no power when I push down so trying to troubleshoot

Hey I need help with my bike. My twist throttle was not working unless it was at an angle So I decided to buy a thumb throttle. They are both six pins However on my original it connects with the black connectors. However on the thumb throttle I bought, it is a long connector. Which I think it is for a hull connection I think. I don't really know much but I am just trying to get the things connected. I wish I could show you a pictures, I don't know if I explained it very well.
Got stuck wiring a 48v 500watt brushless motor controller to a Vespa scooter I have done alot of wiring but never to a escooter I'm stuck on the throttle cables it looks like someone just spliced wire into wire I've been up for 24 hours sometimes watching RU-vid videos so far yours seems something I can understand I have a new controller that goes up to 1500 watts but I'm more interested in the group for 600 and lower so there are to 3 wire sets for the throttle and none are red green and black

My controller with the matching throttle. The jst-sm connector has 4 pins. And 2 of the pins are for the brakes. And that leaves 2 more pins, which are supposed to be for the Throttle that has 3 wires. They are not color coated either. Like red, green and black. I was wondering if I connect them incorrectly ? Once or twice. Until I know they match. Will that hurt anything ?

Hi mate having trouble with gettin my thumb throttle to work. I've got a 3 wire connector on my throttle which is white red and black. Then 2 spare connector blocks on my controls on the bike. One of has a blue and one of which has a green. I take it its the green wired block I need to insert it to as the black matches the black, White matches the green. Red to the red. Which the ither one doesn't. Not working atall. Sound like I'm doing this correct? Maybe the wires are not connecting real annoying
I have changed the hall censor twice and I still have no throttle at all, I still have peddle assist but my throttle has no power at all, could it be my control box thats fucked up
Ok so my throttle broke and i got a replacement but the problem is that the original throttle had 6 wires and the new one only has 5 i messed around with the wires and got the throttle to power on but it just wont move the bike. How can i fix this.

I've been trying to fix my ebike for weeks now. I had to replace my controller and cannot get it to respond to the throttle input . Power is good, controller is on, power to the motor hall sensors and to the throttle is good and throttle is working, but there is no output from main phase wires to the motor... I can't figure it out...?

@@bubblesway well that makes sense I sat up for hours trying to figure it out. I thought the other wires were just for the switch for the light/horn. I even went back to the original controller got the lights all hooked back up but the throttle don't work
@@bubblesway the orginal controller that came with the bike had four wires. Red black white and orange. I cut the cables not knowing what went to what because I thought it was simple and now can't even get the orginal to work. Seems the orange wire also has some type of lower V power
Hi, A cry for help! ENGWE have washed their hands of this problem as the throttle is no longer in production! Apparently I need to replace the throttle and have a pin/colour problem. My throttle is a half throttle that incorporates a light/horn so there are two plugs at the controller end of the cable. The small plug has Green Yellow & Black and plugs into Red Yellow and black and goes to the light/horn. The other plugs has 4 wires Brown Red Blue and Black (the Back has a piggy-back to the Black on the smaller plug) and these four colours go into Yellow Orange White and Black. Now, I can leave the light/horn disconnected if necessary but I need a four cable Throttle and can't get information on the correct connection. Can you help?
Great video, well done...can I please ask....just say I wanted an inline cut off switch on the throttle cable so I can press the switch to deactivate the throttle....is this possible to put some sort of cut off on the throttle cable, thanks, tom

hey... i have 36 volt 500 watt hub engine front wheel kit that i bought for 6 years ago...it started to cut and stop when im climing...never done that before..so i thought my batteri was finished..so i bought a new 36 volt 10.4 amp..but it still keep stopping when it get to a hill/climing..so im woundring what is wrong..? can some body help me..:)
@@bubblesway hey..it goes very good when its just straight ahead..but when im climing/bigger hills..sorry english from norway:) tried 10 min just small hills and most straight head it works..and when the batteri was not full charged it actually worked better when going up hills and had to work hard..so it seem that it get to overheated or something..the batteri is new as i said..and i just have connected a throttle gas on it..so now pedal sensors..and when it stopes...all shuts down ..have to restart the batteri..or wait 30 seconds and it starts again...Thanks for answering ..:)

I'm upgrading my ebike with a universal twist throttle with LED display reading just the current watts being used, a LC960 display screen, a 72v 3000w 80a controller, with a 60v 40aph battery. On my display screen, there is a brown wire that comes out of it. I need to know what to connect the brown wire to. Would you know? If so please help me.
