Give the signal a couple seconds delay to give the intruder a sense of "safety" then BANG better chance he gets tangled up and stuck in the wires while getting shocked.
This should apply to all makes of energisers, all energizers will have an earth terminal as well as a live but some will have the additional terminal depending on if you wanting to run at full or half power. If the energiser does not have an internal fence monitor like the JVA then the return should root back to an additional monitor that measures the voltage on the fence and will alert the user if the voltage drops significantly over a period of three pulses.
