If all the ingredients weren't awesome enough, they packed a toothpaste, toothbrush, elastic hairband, and a plastic baggie to keep your phone safe from splashes for their customers. I'd probably give HomelyPot a great review just for that!
A kit like this in the U.S. would easily be between $100-$200. Especially if the appliance was included. The fact that he could get such a high quality kit for the equivalent of $40 is mind blowing.
Maybe because outside of Asia all these things are imported. If a US based company began selling these, I think they’d be just as cheap, unless I’m underestimating American overpricing of things just because they’re different or gimmicky.
@@jckcc Yes, overpricing things for being gimmicky is exactly what American companies do. We have meal kits without appliances that run almost $100 for a two person meal.
This hot pot kit is so awesome! Love how there are so many things included, even a table sheet, apron, cover for your phone and hair tie. They literally thought of everything possible that you may need to have a good hot pot experience 😂💖
@@arlynnecumberbatch1056 i am romany gypsy, we do the same thing. even plastic utensils can be washed and reused. throwing them away when they are still fit for purpose is wasteful, when broken they can be repurposed, they make great tags for seedings etc. the soup base pouch can be reused many times, just sterilise now and then with some milton, great if you want to give your relative some soup you made. or also very useful for washing liquid when you buy the big packs so you do not have to lift 5l all the time. just need a funnel. lol in my familia i have seen the same tubs passed round and round. i have a cupboard full of tubs and bottles etc, no one leaves my place without food, and a bottle of water for the journey, it is just our way. sadly there are many people in the world who live in a throw away mindset. i have even seen people throw away perfectly good clothing that could be used by someone else or made into rags for cleaning or rag rugs, or crocheted into baskets, unwound for the yarn etc. instead they buy more clothes, cleaning cloths, baskets, yarn and rugs, creating demand for more products they will later send to landfill. what does it take to cut up old clothes in the evening while watching tv? i really do not understand these people, then they complain abut things going to landfill. it says more about them to me. reusing things seems to be a passing trend with them. then they complain the planet is dying and condemning everyone else without realising they judge others by their own standards, and that other cultures do things differently.
I've always loved shabu shabu and back at my old place there was a great shop that converted to takeout orders during this pandemic by selling all the food and soup, but you'd need your own way to heat it all. On Amazon you can buy an electric hot pot for about 25 bucks and, BAM!, you're good to go for hot pot at home! It got me through a lot of this year and I really miss it now that I've moved where there aren't any hot pot places anywhere nearby. I gotta learn how to make my own thin cuts of meat and soup so I can have it here!
They really think this through. They give you hair band to tie your hair and protect your phone from soup. Then a toothbrush set to brush your teeth later? Never expected that
I wish we could order those here in Mexico 😢 that kit was crazy, it looks worth the price. And as a mexican I'd definitely reuse all the plastic containers 🤣
you’re probably first to watch his videos, those are pretty normal videos (but compared to the tiktok recycled videos in youtube, yes this is a VERYY HIGH QUALITY content
The detailed attention to a customer's comfort and needs is commendable. I've actually never experienced something like this. Kudos to their delivery service
Packaging Costs More than the Cheap processed, Frozen foods inside. And veggies cost Absolute pennies, the meat is Sliced Incredibly thin you can See through it, although it's supposed to be in order to cook fast in the broth . But it's all just spices and Cheap stuff. I do like the cooker though and the apron and cute packaging, but I think they went a bit too far with the Hair Band and a few other crap items they decided to through in with no thought, lol. It's cool though
@@sherry866 the other "crap items" are actually quite thoughtful imo. Depending on the situation, for ex: IF you took this outside like the beach, the hair tie is great for people with long hair, the phone cover prevents the oil from the soup from getting onto your phone. The toothbrush and tooth paste is good for people who had too much garlic from the meal? I think the little things are nice.
I'm really enjoying these home delivery videos! Such a unique thing to offer for delivered meals, and the outdoors setting is so relaxing and peaceful. ❤🍲
I like this so much that I ordered a set for myself, my mum and my relatives. So that I can do a hot pot session anytime I feel like even when popping over to their places armed with ingredients that’s all… hahaha The small sized hotpot is especially useful when I want to do a session for 1-2 persons… fantastic really! ❤️
@@lorraineward4492 Go to their website and order from there. They catered to international customers too, but may take a while for delivery so they will make sure to have your food fresh. Enjoy tasting:)
Definitely a great kit! The heat needs to be regulated more often to prevent the soup from drying out. Love to watch your videos..no talking, no drama, only eating good food! Also, the view out of your balcony and the breeze is perfect to enjoy a delicious hotpot meal!
WOW! I am amazed at all the little things they thought about putting in the box. The hair tie and the plastic phone bag just blew my mind. Something like that here would cost someone and entire weeks pay. Would love this if it could be made at the same cost here in the states.
They give you so much, basically, you could save half and have it another day! The concept is amazing, convenient, and a very reasonable price for what you get! They should sell this in Toronto, I would try it, for sure!
I’m envious! These hotpot videos have made me do a local search, and sure enough there are hotpot restaurants here in Texas where I am. I’m quite sure their take-away meals don’t begin to compare to this!
These videos r so addictive.. 😍I can't stop watching 🥺😕😯that is a lotttt.. Homely pot going out of the way to help people to their best in this pandemic 👏
That was astonishing! I love the idea of being able to order a meal kit like that. My mouth was watering. Yum! The only thing that made me lift an eyebrow is the wasteful packaging. No other way to do it, obviously, but there were just so many containers to throw out.
Oh they are very thoughtful. Awesome hot pot kit. They provide all the necessary things including table cloth apron a cover for the phone. Good service. 🤘
I just can't get over how beautifully considerate that company is. I was impressed with the little apron and even toothbrush with toothpaste but even a bag for your phone to protect it? You don't see stuff like that in the states.
Your electric cooking pot has served you very well. Such a good deal for the price. I have sonething similar, but Iost the lid. I realize I can still make use of it. The only thing I am missing is a balcony with a beautiful view.
So basically 70% of the cost is for the hot pot itself and the other 30 is for the ingredients? Not that I'm complaining it's actually a pretty good deal from my point of view!
Hope this reaches you! I appreciate your content and I'm always watching your videos! I wanted to ask a question here, because there is no contact info to message you. What masks or face covering do you prefer to wear? Which do you find most comfortable and fashionable? I'm interested in your feed back. Keep the videos coming! We all love them! Addy H.
@@bunnyfreakz i'd assume one of their meat/veg assortments without the pot would be cheaper than buying all off this in a store, as you'd be buying much more than you'd need.
I'm wondering also. If u order hot pot meal sets, are you getting new hot pot cooking sets? Can u reuse cooking set or recycle it? Or maybe next order meal set will come without cooking set?
Very impressed, we don't get delivery like this, it's all pre-made food (though good quality too). We call this "fondue" over here and we either do it with broth like you do and everyone gets his / her own fork to put stuff on to dangle in the boiling broth, or it's cheese in the pan and people dip like bread in the molten cheese.
