I ordered my new Sandero Stepway Comfort in January, but it'll be arriving at the stand only in mid July. It's a manual gearbox, with hands free keycard, upgraded armrest, electric parking break, iron blue color and with the 16" rims 😎
My wife has a new Stepway auto and there's quite a 'squeal' when the electric handbrake is engaged and disengaged. Is this normal on the Dacias / Renaults or should I get it looked at?
So hang on… if I don’t want to use the parking brake in traffic lights on a hill, and just hold my foot on the brake, the car will just decide to roll back cause I didn’t activate the parking brake? Confused here.
As an "oldie" how is all this less complicated (in a manual gear car) than holding the car on the hand brake and releasing whilst feeding out the clutch?
hahaha keeping me busy. i should have a full car review up soon just trying to get it perfect and itll cover most of it and ill ensure that is in it as i have kids i know the need.
Absolutely horrible. Too complicated and there is nothing wrong with the traditional handbake. This one will go wrong. People like Dacia because the are not full of complicated stuff that goes wrong. You are falling into the trap of thinking everyone wants this rubbish. No we dont. This is the sort of thing that will be a problem as it fails, needs more servicing and expense. As production costs rise, so will the price of your cars. The whole ethos of owning a Dacia will be gone.
I would encourage you to try one as they are in no way complicated it does it all for you. And sadly with the move to electric no manual handbrakes will exist and Dacia have to move with the times, they have managed to keep there place as the cheapest on the market and bring in new tech, also not all the range has the electric handbrake so if you are not a fan you don’t have to have it.also they are incredibly reliable.
@@renaultdaciahowitsdone9514 I agree with Mike. I hate the start/stop system as well, so always turn it off. I can envisage a few years away when we're stuck behind a car with a weak battery or starter motor that won't start the engine when the lights turn green. There will be more expense and hassle to replace batteries more often than hitherto.
@@peterking2794 the system has a fail safe that if the battery is low as it would be in a weak battery then it will not stop , hence why it won’t work just after starting the engine or if you have heating/air on on full. A dodgy starter will get you at the worst time what ever the case it’s always the way.
