Roger, I like your honest videos. Very informative. I've worked for 35 years on the outside of the house installing water mains, service lines, and shut-offs. Oh and meter horns and meters. I do have a question though. What are your thoughts on expansion tanks before the water heater? I've had to help a lot of homeowners who wind up with some problems on new construction that have sloppy plumbing. I see it a lot but my knowledge is somewhat limited. Appreciate any thoughts you have..

Hey new fan here lol I was wondering what would cause an electric water heart to not have lasting hot water for long showers or baths? I hope that you know what I mean lol. Thank you! P.s. Love love your channel ❤

That's slot different than when I do it normally I start out getting irritated with the insulation and saying some not so nice words to my self and cutting that crap off. Then after testing and thinking I cut the power off I shock the crap out if myself and then turn it off. And as soon as I try to get the elements off the sides of it break off and I'm left with a well this is gonna suck. And after 30 mins once everything is gone the homeowner asks why so much to change it?

Replaced both elements & thermostats and still have no hot water!! Please help??!!

I've changed both elements and thermostats, measured 120V on both sides but still not getting any hot water.

Kevin Marshall did you turn the power back on before you filled it with water? Did you get all the air out before turning it on?

@@jasonanderson3366 Guy who installed the water installed it with undersized wire. The wire eventually burnt internally and had to be replaced along with the disconnect because the terminals on it were also looking really bad. Could have been much worse.
