Idek if you’ll see this but i just got hired as an electrician’s helper, im really excited to make a career in electrical work. I’m willing to put in the hard work, your videos have been really helpful
If you chose this trade as a profession, jump in with both feet and don’t leave. It provides an amazing life for the ones committed to becoming a tradesmen in this field. Good luck and keep me posted.
@@DonaldMillerElectric That’s what i’ve learned from your videos that you need to jump with both feet in and can’t be second guessing, I just put in my two week today at my job and will be starting the apprenticeship soon, i don’t have any electrical experience so the opportunity I got was a golden one. I found a company that’s willing to teach me and give me an opportunity. I know it’ll be rough, especially the first 6months at least, but i’m a hard worker and my willingness to learn is very much there. I’m excited to get started
@@mikeycastillo2364 Awesome, get your feet wet and sign up for entry level theory class. Theory is easiest learned starting at the beginning. Online class, or community college night courses. No matter what, learn theory, it will benefit your career in the long run guaranteed.
Hi Donald, great videos man , I really appreciate your information, I wanna to ask you if you could make a video talking about books or something besides the job that we apprentices should be reading or studying, thank you ~
Great advice, as always. A question though. I'm retired, but not ready for the rocking chair. I'm in a 1200 hr pre-apprenticeship program at our community college. I've done a lot of homeowner DIY through the years and would like to learn more in the electric trade. I'm in good shape and figure I have about 10 years of work left before getting too old. What advice might you offer on how I might pursue a likely short career as an electrician? TIA. Merry Christmas.
Mike Masztal Link up with a residential electrical firm. Try the higher end companies. They often need a part time/full time extra hand or runner. We had a guy in his 60’s and was great with our clients. A great smile
