Have you ever used an Anderson plug for the motor? I've heard they're the most durable

My Xi3 is very difficult to deploy from my kayak. Any tips? I hold down the release lever and have to really hammer it forward hard with my hand to get it to drop down. Then it shoots forward and deploys very hard when it does.

I have the same issue. Haven’t come up with a good solution yet. I’ll let ya know if I come up with something!!!

You have to create a little tension on the big thick power cord of the motor buy using a short bungee cord to compress and create that tension. That allows the motor to want to go forward when the grey release lever is pushed down. You still have to have some kind of cable attached to the tube below the motor head to guide the motor down otherwise it will shoot down to fast because of that tension on the black power cable.

I notice all you guys in Natives, Greg Blanchard etc always have water in the floor, are the scuppers in and water still getting in? Looking at buying a Native Titan for a second boat but don't want a leaky kayak.

If you don’t have the scuppers in the water will will come in and out. I almost always have my scuppers in. When I put them in I push them down in the hole with a lot of pressure and it stays pretty water tight. But if you take them out to drain water out you will have a little water in the bottom but I rock it back and forth until it’s pretty much out

What type of net are you using? Thanks

I got it off of Amazon. It’s called ForEverlast Inc. Generation 2 Floating Fishing Landing Net. I modified the handle with pvc pipe
