What is Resistance? Causes of Resistance? Resistance increases with length and decreases with area of conductor.
The electrical resistance of an object is a measure of its opposition to the flow of electric current. Electrical resistance shares some conceptual parallels with the notion of mechanical friction.
We find that it is a property of the material. It depends on the dimensions of the material too:
• Doubling length of a conductor doubles resistance too. In general, resistance is proportional to length. AND
• Halving area of the cross-section of a conductor doubles resistance too. In general, resistance is inversely proportional to cross-sectional area.

Light bulb (B) will produce more light because filament of the bulb has less cross sectional area therefore it shows more resistance to the flow of current, as a result collision of electrons will increased, hence kinetic energy of the electrons will convert into thermal energy which results in more production of light...

Sir, option (b) Will give more light because the resistivity will increase and the filament will become more warmer then option (a)

Sir option A will glow more as you told us that area is inversely proportinate to resistence ,which means that the resistence will be less and more current will pass through it......

But, if there is less resistance there will be lesser heat produced. Therefore, bulb A will have lesser resistance as compared to bulb B. However, bulb B will be brighter than bulb A.

bulb with filament having less cross section area will produce more light because the cross section area being less the heat energy produced will be more because of the excessive collision of electrons.

thin wire corresponds to more resistance so more power will be consumed. Hence, second will glow brighter than the latter one.
