Bill Rupert is the best guitar effects demonstrator around. Astonishing playing and outstanding composition selection that perfectly matches each particular effect. Bravo Bill.
The detune option is the sole reason I want this over my original pitchfork. Really smooths it out, and it doesn’t even need it that bad compared to most harmonizers but sounds great
This sounds marvellous! I have an older "Holy Grail" pedal for reverb, but this would be the next step...being a fretless and upright bass player! Great sounds!
I'm disappointed there's no midi control and is the reason I'm going to pass on this. The solo at the end was awesome and I wholeheartedly agree that Bill makes the best demos
Great demo Bill!! I've been waiting for this one all year! Glad you guys are doing ok with the pandemic too! I'd love to see a video by you comparing the Pitch Fork Plus to the POG2. The POG2 is awesome, but the enclosure is bigger than the room I have on my board. I know there's some overlap between the two, and I'm sure that this can do more than the POG2. A POG3 in this enclosure size would also rock ), hint hint ;-D
Sounds so good. I use the OC3 and the PS6 though if I could get moving bass lines with the top remaining "guitaristic" (especially for the clean and 12 string sounds) I may need to go in. Bill's demos are so great.
You have to make one for bass players so we no longer have to suffer flabby B strings on a 5 string bass. No detune, no multiple channels, no effects, no latency - just on/off button to drop 5 semitones on our regular 4 string basses.
I do a Royal Blood set up in my band with Micro POG but I think this is much more versatile, gonna hunt one down. And BTW the last music segment is pure GOLD!!!!
Wow. Bill amazing stuff (including the editing & camera-work). Your playing at-the-end, reminded me of David Gilmour on: "The Blue" from Live in Gdansk.
Looks pretty cool! I've been thinking about getting a pitchfork for a while but was hesitant. This looks like a big improvement, loving it. It'll be my next one! Good work guys :)
I just bought an used Micro POG, which i already love very much, I would love to hear a comparison of the octave sound between the pitch fork+ and the micro pog. I had a regular pitchfork and it digitalized the dry signal of the guitar (fizz), the pog sounds more natural and the wet signal sounds very musical and synth like, if the Pitch fork+ can do that, I would buy one in a heartbeat
Nice, just bought one. Chose this over the Digitech Drop because it can run on a battery, and my live setup is completely wireless (amp sim also runs on batteries).
Something that would be fun is using the CV out from a Behringer TD-3 as the CV pitch in, so you could use 303-style sequencing on your guitar. It's something I've wanted to do for years, but no guitar pedal does it (some nearly do it, but there's always some aspect missing).
Excellent guitar work by Bill Ruppert!! Does Bill have a solo album? I see he has done tons of studio work but I would love to hear him on his own album... Bill makes you want to buy guitar things.
Periodically I seem to come back to watch this & see if I should upgrade. The only features I’m seeing that I wish my original Pitchfork had would be the stereo outs & the separate volume controls. But mostly the stereo outs. The larger size and worse user experience of the Plus outweigh those benefits. If there was an update to the original with stereo outs, I’d buy that.
I'd love to see some demo's of this on bass. I've been using the standard pitch fork on bass for a year or 2 now and it's one of the two pedals (together with the big muff) that I can't go without.
I've had a Ring Thing for a few years and love it, but it looks like the Pitch Fork+ does almost everything the Ring Thing can do with tons more presets and 2/3 the pedal board space (although there is more control over the Ring Mod effect on the Ring Thing, hence the name). Ah well, that's the nature of the guitar FX biz - it's impossible to keep. I'm an old fart and I can't imagine being a kid starting out on guitar. There's so much stuff out there nowadays that I'd get option anxiety!!!
Finally, a real playable, fat and lovely clean guitar sound :-) Pitch Fork is my favorite pedal for cleans but it lacked a second pitch for sure. Here it is!
I love my original pitch fork (probably won't be updating to this one unless it breaks) - my only gripe, albeit a minor one, is not having individual volume control over the two signals in dual mode as I love the octave below but not such a fan of how the octave above sounds. I've always wished I had the ability to dial in a small amount of the octave above without affecting the octave below volume. It's good to see that is remedied here. Generally a whole slew of new sounds here packed into an already stellar offering.
Geat ! Bill Ruppert at his best, as always! But I was hoping for more on this PitchFork v2, like an LFO, a real harmonizer with scales, or an arpeggiator like the one you put in the MOD11! EHX masters the true polyphonic pitch shifting perfectly, so you definitely should make a perfect pitch shifting station encompassing everything... with hazarai ;)
So glad you can finally program the auto-glissando's FALL time now. As that was something that bothered me with the OG pitchfork is that rise and fall time were always the same. Very cool. Was waiting for this official announcement for a while. Looks like it's time to sell the OG PF and get the PF+. What is the release date?
