@@StevenErnest Neuro-muscular Electronic Stimulation. It's much more powerful than a tens machine. Meant to help Atrophied muscles and break up large muscle spasms.
@@jimbossemi-customs3129 Thanks for the feedback. Unless I'm missing it, their website doesn't seem to provide much explanation of all this. Apparently I'll have to research it myself. With the 10 minutes I spent with the Nurse Practitioner who prescribed this, she didn't give any explanation. I have lower back pains. And neck pains, and I have a small wire in my neck at the C-2, so I have to find out if that will cause any complications with the electrical stimulation.
@@StevenErnest You're welcome Steven, I'll try to help with any questions you may have. After I wrote this post I was going through the thick information booklet I found inside the pouch in the zip-up case, and although it didn't tell me exactly where to place the pads, it gave me a generalization. I've had 5 neck surgeries and root nerve damage at C5, leaving me with chronic pain in my shoulder. The spasm/knot is huge and I've dealt with it for over 10 years. My Neurologist is hoping that the NMES setting will be able to finally break it up, but honestly, I don't hold out much hope. I've had my hopes raised too many times in the last decade to get excited about it. I've been using it 2 weeks so far, no difference yet, but I expect if it does do anything it will take months. You may want to try the IFC setting on your lower back. It's 40X stronger than a tens machine and may help you. Sorry for turning this into a book, I just took my meds 30 minutes ago and even after all these years they still make me a bit "chatty" for an hour. I hope this helps a little bit and feel free to reach out if I can help you in any way. I'm not a professional, but I've researched the topic for many years looking for help. Have a great weekend.
