I love that you used a PO, and a synth to show off the pedal. Not enough videos seem to do that, and as someone who loves both guitar and synth worlds combined, it makes buying pedals easier. THANKS! Also this pedal is wicked. I need one......
Well now it's between this and the Tensor for "pedal that might force me to spend more than $150". I can hear so many uses for this and you did such a wonderful job showing how wild this can get while balancing it with that eBow and Pocket Operator section to show how it can be really functional for certain things.
Pedal Friends Thanks for the kind words :) I like to get acquainted with pedals before I start working on videos. This is one of those sleeper pedals... it’s easy to think, “oh yea, this is just some noisy reverb”. Once you get used to it and dial in the trim pots to your liking, it’s got a lot of really cool sounds. Glad you enjoyed the PO and eBow sections, both are so fun.
Thanks :) I try to make up something new for like 99% of the videos. Most of it is just music I write from the pedal inspiration... cheesy, I know but it's the truth :)
aBunchOfPedals Been subbed for a while, I’m not usually one for commenting though. I really liked the Pladask and Mastro Valvola vids as well, these are brands that I’d never find out about without channels like yours, so I’m glad you’re here to expose to such cool products. Looking forward to the upcoming vids.
Awesome pedal...I loved every sound it made...esp. @ 4:32 ("Let it rip!"). It runs a bass into a troll @ 1:08, and this 1980s video game sound @ 4:54 into a lumbering beast. Whoever named it is definitely into D&D. I love this fucking channel. I don't understand musicians -- esp. in the guitar-amp purists in the guitar community -- that don't like experimenting with sounds. Sounds are what musicians work with, and it tone quality is an expressive element that musicians can manipulate...I envy that you get to play with all these crazy pedals, and love just listening to it. Great stuff. Better than any of the guitar mags that are out there as a source of information for someone whose idea of music is not limited to what's been done.
BTsMusicChannel Thanks a lot for the kind words :). I’m grateful that people enjoy these little videos. It’s a fun hobby. This thing is pretty gnarly. I’ve come pretty close with the Zoia.
@@aBunchOfPedals I watch your vids often. I subscribed a while back. It's much more interesting to shape the guitar tone to meet the expressive needs of the song than to shape it for the guitarist's ego (i.e., the "tone chasers" looking for a "signature tone" of some sort). You can tell how much the meaning can changes simply by what happens when you click it on and manipulate -- like I said, 80's video game becomes lumbering beast. What could that mean in the context of a song? Probably a lot more than a tired wheedeleydeedeley from a guitar into an amp. I thought we were out of the 80s guitar god mode, but trends have been going back in the past 10 or so years. Meanwhile, effects pedals keep getting more and more outrageous. Thanks.
BTsMusicChannel Right on! Always glad to hear people enjoy the vids. I really take that as a compliment when you say they’re interesting, I try my best to make videos that I’d want to personally watch.... that was my game plan from the beginning. I write the music for each pedal, not just random jams. It’s nice to showcase what the gear can do. It’s nothing fancy, it’s just not my style. I don’t want to talk trash on other musicians because we’re all in it to have fun and express ourselves.... that being said, I know where you’re coming from. I don’t want to listen to shredding or tons of blues licks either. I don’t know if people really try to “show off” or it’s just their style. Either way, it’d they’re having fun, then that’s awesome. And yea, I totally agree, pedals are getting insane!!!! They’re more like mini computers now. Never thought I’d see anything remotely close to what’s out there now. Anyways! Thank you for your comments, I like hearing other people opinion on all this. Feel free to shoot me a message on Instagram if you ever want to shoot the breeze about pedals or music :)
@@aBunchOfPedals I'd argue that a lot of shred does have interesting use of effects. Growing up the 80s, certainly Eddie Van Halen was showing people how effects can be used to make awesome sounds, and he was arguably the one who popularized what became known as "shred." Before him, Jimi Hendrix. Fantastic sounds have always been an element of virtuosity.
This sounds good and all but what does your dry signal sound like?!? I beg you on bended knee to turn this pedal off for literally just one second. (I realize this is an old video).
