ELEGOO - Tumbller Self-Balancing Robot | 314Reactor Build & Review 

It is a great set and it has a real high value package, parts and manual. Currently it is in my perspective attaching LiDAR but I have not yet connect it to the PC for self-studies but the preinstalled code works great.

I also just noticed that in ble tool app, if you choose the crawler instead of the tumbller , it has the sketch programming remote section. It would be nice to have that on the tumbller too

Is there a way to maybe connect the temperature/humidity sensor to it and display the results on a lcd? Would be cool to have something like a "moving thermometer"

Hi. Maybe you could add additional ultrasonic sensors HC-SR04 on the robot sides to detect collisions ? They only require 2 lines for communication which can be connected to spare MCU GPIO pins (and 2 power lines : GND,5V). Software should be easily modified to accopany them. They also draw small current.

Do I have to add the codes for the Arduino to work, or is it ready-made and programmed from the factory with the codes?

What's the rated voltage of the motors? I am assuming 6V as it has only two cells (18650 3.7V ?)

Mine can't stand itself up from resting on the plastic tray. The batteries are fully charged, but it can't seem to accelerate fast enough to stand up. Any ideas?

Mate you have the WORST enviroment to try this basic robot with one sensor on lol! Cmon it's a bit unfair to it. You have an Ultrasound sensor that has a very short line of sight, then it's positioned quite high, so it won't know about your crazy amount of shoes/flipflops/flippers etc. It's the fact you built this, but didn't LEARN how it works, you could have so much more fun learning, as you could attach more Ultrasound sensors(mega cheap) and position them, and do some change in code, you'd have a much smarter robot for £3 and you'd learn more programming in C++ as a bonus!
