i just picked up an 8.0 complete for dirt cheap, cheaper than buying a deck. slapped some new wheels, bushings, and bearings on it. Rides like a custom. love these element decks

Just got a element complete cruiser for $50 AUD and wasn’t expecting much but really impressed with it. Wheels deck and bearings are decent quality and trucks aren’t bad either. Just ordered a normal 8.0 complete and got that for $35 cause I had points built up. These are great for the price and not a toy setup.

Nice vid 👍 What do you think of the trucks? Is the geometry similar to anything you've ridden before? The complete is so cheap, same price as a set of Bones Reds where I am.
Hi iosoi. Thanks for your comment. I thought the trucks worked well w/ the complete it came with but when I tried to use them on wider decks later on I found them a little narrow. imo. Hope that's helpful 🤙
No, it doesn't ride smooth on rough pavement. The wheels are ok for skate parks only or on smooth ground surfaces. I highly recommend (POWELL PERALTA'S DRAGAN WHEELS DF-93a) for replacement wheels. Thank me later 😉
Hi @MarnuVanNiekerk-ux9sn Everything (deck, wheels, trucks) about the complete was Element so I imagine the deck would be the same as a stand alone. TBH I've never gotten a stand alone deck for comparison ... maybe someone else in the comments can be more helpful. Cheers.
Hey buddy im In my 30s and used to skate when i was younger so i was looking at grabbing a complete board and was trying to decide between these complete elements for around $50 or maybe a braille complete for $99. Any advice? Thanks
Hi @cwatson42785 Glad to hear you're getting back into it. I can't say anything about the Braille Complete (I have no experience with them). If you're a smaller guy the Element Complete should work fine for you. If you're heavier, like me, consider the CCS Completes. The price point is somewhere in between the two you mentioned but its worth the money IMO. They might even be less expensive now since we're in the dead of winter. I hope that's helpful. I got a deck $25 on Zumiez, the one I have isn't Chinese it's American maple and says it right on the top of the deck before you grip tape it, maybe some are Chinese maple idk, but go on Zumiez the 8" $25 black deck with two red symbols and water fire earth wind is American maple, and I love it more than my plan b board
This could work for all skaters. However, sometimes sourcing an element deck wider than 8.25 is difficult. Most beginners need a wider deck. I used a CCS complete when I started up again after 20 years off the board (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4RoD-XViTFg.html) and have used their completes multiple times thereafter. I'm finding element completes online for $60. That is a really cheap price. so it makes me wonder if these are budget boards or if they're the same as any other element deck?

Hi Reuben Coetzee. Thanks for your comments. The wheels are basic (they are not better or worst than any other). If you're planning to ride on rough pavement or dirt you should get specialized wheels. Otherwise, if you stick to smooth surfaces the wheels are smooth enough. Honestly, I got this complete at a great price and it was worth every penny. I hope that's helpful 🤙

Hi Francesca, It lasted a decent bit until I snapped it. I do that with every deck (I'm a heavier skater). To be fair I usually ride an 8.5 but I got the Element Complete in 8.25 (the widest I could find) because it was such a good deal. If you're a lighter skater it should hold up fine. @@cwatson42785 hii yes I did! I got an element complete. I've only ridden it on rough grounds because that's all I've got. So I purchased some mini logo hybrid 90a 53mm wheels to replace the 99a 52mm that come with element completes. I can't comment on how they feel because I've not tried them yet (I've not skated since September or August bc it's cold and wet where I live). When I push I wasn't getting very far, my push was so bad that by the time I got my foot back on the board, it had already stopped or close to it. 😭😭 it could be my pushing so I'll work on that but I tried cleaning by bearing in the summer and I never got round to testing that out but tbh I shouldn't have made a difference because the bearing were already new so they should've worked just fine. I got bones reds for Christmas so I'm excited to try these, along with my new wheels in the spring. One thing I will say is don't buy this complete if it's 80 bucks because by the time you switch the components, it's not worth it. I think in got mine for around 30 on sale so that's a great price.
