Happy bday,as always great video, especially like your style of buying great parts using common sense and explaining to folks most expensive is not always best or needed.plz keep makin video's,thx!
Thx man! Sure appreciate the view and sub! I cut down the battery tray and left in existing location because I have a Servo winch on the way. But yeah this thing will crawl! Took it out this past weekend with my buddies $1200 comp rig. It kept up pretty well! Pretty impressive!
This is exactly the direction I was thinking for my ecto! That body came out great. My fusion arrives at the end of the week so I’m definitely looking forward to it. Great vid, subscribed
I just installed the same motor/esc & a Reefs servo in my new Ecto. SSD back weights & front knuckles. Rock Pirates shock towers. I’m just waiting on my tires & metal bead locks. But man in RTR version there’s nothing wrong with it but after running it with the upgrades it just blows my mind. I can see where maybe adding dig may also add a nice feature. I also have Rock Pirates sliders to install so after everything this maybe my favorite truck & I have the new Capra & TRX Bronco. But this thing is just so nice.
Man that looks 100% better!!! I picked up a gatekeeper that I'm working on and I'm not even going to build the cage. I'm waiting on the ecto clear body to become available. A little tip, I always back a body with black. But first you need a coat of silver or white before doing the black. It won't bleed through that way.
Yeah I normally back with silver first but I was out. But trust me, the yellow was so thin white or silver would’ve bled. I too am waiting on the clear body! Saw one website that it would be available in September.
Nice video, I like the look 👌🏻 I just ordered the Ecto and my plans, was to buy a Hobbywing Fusion 1800kv to put in it. Did you go with 1200kv or 1800kv?
That looks fantastic now, great job. I've got one on the way, looking forward to comparing it to my Gspeed/Element Power Wagon build. I wonder how well it will do against a custom comp style rig?
Went out over the weekend with my buddy who has a full blown $1200 comp rig. The ecto did awesome! It effortlessly did every line the comp rig did except one spot. Pretty stoked that a budget truck like this can crawl this well. To compete tho it would need more scale points which would add weight. The ecto is already heavier than the comp rig which is pointed out scale wise.. but still amazing for a RTR chassis!
Your gspeed element is awesome👊🏻 I just watched your videos last night ironically. Went over to the gspeed webpage after your video.. umm, I think I’ll wait a bit before I go that far! I’m more of a scale trail truck guy but I am intrigued! I used to go all out on my fast stuff a few years back!
@@krlaturn That's good to hear. A few of my RC buddies have been getting tempted when they see my Gspeed, but even though I built it pretty cheap it is still quite a lot of money, and if they have no intention to comp then seems a bit over the top. I was thinking that the Ecto might be a more cost effective solution for them and they are very kindly letting me spend my money first to find out 🤣. I didn't take much convincing though.
I think this is by far the best Ecto I've seen, and it may well influence the direction I go with mine. Thinking of getting a second body kit for it and having a nice weathered scale looking one and a bashing one. Love the interior too, Gatekeeper?
@@PhilBrindley thanks man! Yeah I wanted a second body too when I bought this rig. The clear bodies are out of stock everywhere.. I plan to do a shelf body once they are available again!
