I just picked one up yesterday at me local hobby shop and came home to install and realized I forgot a connector for what I run....lol...but that's ok gives me a reason to stop at hobby shop again today...👍 Great review....
J’ai été déçu de isdt70 beaucoup de bug de connexion donc je suis passé sur 2300 kv hobbywing fusion 2en1, par contre peut-on le régler avec la boîte de programmation du 1080?
do I need a bec to run my steering servo? its a power hobby 729. I ordered one before I decided to order a new motor. not sure if I need it with this motor?
Fun fact, smaller but also heavier. It must have a heavier rotor/winding. My old 1800kv with shortened wires weighs 198.5g - the Pro 2300kv with shortened wires weighs 207g
I've been hoping for a Fusion with a higher KV rating to install into my brushed SCX10.2 1955 Ford F100, and Hobbywing didn't disappoint me. Most of my crawling is trail running, and the Fusion Pro will be perfect for me.
Based heavily on this channel recommendations, when my trx4 sport motor was needing replacement, took the plunge on this fusion pro rather than a holmes/hw1080 like planned. First tests have been impressive so far, can't wait for its first crawl day.
You're .. RC Review... It's the best... I love your video reference.. Would you help me, about the good / best gearbox for my old rig (scx10i) honcho, what's your suggestion for it? Motor fusion pro, ds servo, etc... But my problem now is gearbox... So please help me... 🙏
Your videos are amazing and so helpful!!! I'm glad you love my truck. I built my truck from the ground up using all the vides you've done on all different kinds of things and gear for a crawler!!
So I upgraded my axial to this and added dx5 rugged . Throttle and steering are backwards lol. Is there a right way to fix it or just go into settings and reverse it
Trying to decide on a motor/esc for my ryft. Was considering copperhead 10 1415 2400kv. This quieter option sure is appealing! Wish I could run 4s on it. How do you think it would pair with the Ryft?
Hi!You can just solder an JST Plug to your Hobbywing Battery Plug und Put in to your Traxxas Power Supply. The Power Supply puts the Voltage down for your Light System!
I have just bought one of these,I have the 1800kv in my lcg gatekeeper which is fantastic,in all my other crawlers I run Holmes hobbies crawl master pros and magnum motors with hw 1080 esc my problem is I don't want to change what works in those crawlers so I am just going to have to build a new lcg crawler again
@@RCReviewChannel 🤣🤣🤣 am single so besides the cats I don't have to justify buying them but it's what to get,I just spent over 2 grand on building a custom lcg crawler or do I buy a kit and upgrade or a RTR and upgrade I just don't know 🤣🤦
You should do a follow-up video with recommended crawling settings after a few runs. what you find to be the best program settings. As always great info and great videos!
Great review Francis. I bought the original 1800kv Fusion after you reviewed it. All I can say is it transformed my crawler in such a profound way, I recommend this system to everyone. Simply brilliant. Almost like cheating lol. The FOC inbuilt, has made it so controllable and so much easier to drive, I cannot believe the difference between the original brushed system to the Fusion. Never thought of using it in another basher type car but having a punch level adjustment is a winner. The 6amp BEC is handy but the 4amp on the older version never gave me any issues, I run a 25kg servo, winch and lots of lights, not once has it failed me. Keen to try the pro out!
lucky you. i had the same and within 1 hr my trx4 snapped the shaft. and got a oh well from hw? we will sell you the new 2in1 system for just 98.00 when we get it back in .but all i need is the new shaft they wont or dont sell..i say dont put too much weight on your rig. and should be ok
@@four20producerz77 Yeah wow that's tough. Thing is many crawlers are quite heavy and we all add weight to them, mine included. I do avoid going from full throttle to the full drag brake though. Hope the same thing doesn't happen often. Maybe you got one that was a manufacturers defect? hope you get it sorted.
@@four20producerz77 It must have been a defect. My trx4 has monster truck tires with lots of brass and I use it for bashing and mud bogging. Never had a shaft break. I did have an issue with the first one I bought which was having some signal issues. Hobby wing had me send a video of the issue and then sent me a new one. I don't blame them for wanting a video as people try to rip them off all the time with insane claims. They have always taken care of me over the years with RC Helicopter and Airplane ESCS when any issues arose. I don't see why they won't take care of you or contact the company you purchased from.
Price tag, more powerful, more tunable, smaller wrapper. This pro if far superior to the first generation!!! And the ice on the cake, is that they send a new sticker for the generation one programming box. SOLD!!!!!! 😈
Uk price £130.for pro......Old fusion is £135 BUT includes programme gard......Pro does not include programmer so....its Not cheaper if you have to buy the programmer !!
That motor is the obvious choice at that price point. I've got the original fusion in my scx10.2 and ive got the AXE in my Vanquish VS4-10 Ultra. Love the BT on the AXE tho. Need to try this one out
Hi Professor, fortunately I didn't bought the first version that tempted me a lot. This is much better and has a good price. May be mount this on my old Gen 8 and show the result with a video. Ciao! Nanni
Hello, first of all, thanks for your work and your videos. I've been using this fusion for a week and the truth is that it has surprised me, since I normally use the same brand but with separate esc and motor. What do you think is the best setup for him? Could you list your configuration? Thanks from Spain.
Hello. I got a axial scx10 iii Jeep Gladiator. All Stock without the servo. Am i able to just Switch the Motor with the Stock one or Do I have to get some other Parts? Thanks alot for your guys help!
Doesn't brushless takes away alot of feeling of the resistance of abstacles? The fun of having to feel how luch trottle you need to give to get over a bump? Whats your take on this matter?
I love this motor Francess I have a couple of them but in my Gspeed/TGh enduro comp build I don't have much wheel speed with the stock 18t pinion ,have any of you guys try running taller pinion in a single speed transmission rig ? 2 speed trannys where these shine ,I'm debating on removing my stealth X and trying to find a 2 speed for that build ?
I have the trx 4sport ,i wanting to make it slow crawl better more low sored control less run off smoother start up and better drag brake and hill hold will this system give those things to my sport? And did you change the gearing or is it stock still i wood be very thankful for your advice, i can't stand it the wat it is now
@@roosterrc6519 it is very slow & constant if required, drag brake is very good. All adjustable. You need the programmer though & a new sticker comes in the box of the motor to put on the programmer to help set it up (i had a programmer from another hobbywing motor kit i had bought). Very pleased with mine. Also quite fast with a 3s in!
It shouldn’t be an issue to cut the connector off and solder a deans plug right? Also I have some lights that plug into my stock ESC (Knightrunner) what’s the best way to get them wired up with this motor?
Lower price yes, but it does not come with a program card. If you don't already have one you'll have to purchase one separately making it more expensive.
Super informative as always! I just ordered mine. One quick question: Did you manage to link the Sense Ess-Dual with it? Does it works well? Thanks in Advance!
Just a suggestion that may help this video get more views... I've been trying to find reviews of this system for a few days in order to get a feel for what it offers. So, using the search terms "hobbywing fusion 2300kv" I found a few, but very few... As a subscriber, I received notification of this video earlier and was happy to find that you had done a review of the new HW. But, running my search again, this video doesn't come up. Hmmm... I guess if I used the term "Pro" in my search, it may, but just using the 2300kv it did not. I've found that names of videos can have a big impact on how they come up in RU-vid searches, or don't as the case may be... May want to consider adding the "2300KV" to your title to make it pop up in searches where people, like me, use the KV rating to distinguish between different variants of motors and systems... Just a thought. Good video BTW. Looks to have a nice set of features. Was planning to buy one as soon as I found one available. Well... until someone below pointed out that they didn't include "auto" brake force in the feature list on this one. I really enjoy the auto braking on my XERUN AXE, so a bit disappointed they didn't include it here. Since this does have FOC, it would have basically costs them nothing to include the auto brake force. Pity...
Just bought the 2300kv after watching this and should get it on Tuesday and put it straight into my TRX4 👍🏻. I have 2 Axe sytems and think they are fantastic, but have thinking of getting a Fusion for a while. After watching this my mind was decided and cant wait to see how it performs. Thanks a lot 🙏🏻👍🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@FarmerFpv yep! Absolutely love it! I feel like this is one of my best upgrades. Significant improvements and especially the crawl ability at slow speed is insane!!
Run them at least every Sunday sometimes 2-3 times a week 2-3hrs a session since the original came out with friends who run them none of us have disposed of one yet but if it happens already got my moneys worth.
The Fusion combo only takes up to 3s, so if you want additional power you’ll need a high end esc and brushless motor. But I use two Fusions with 3s and I have very heavy trucks and I have never had anything but peak performance. In fact I outperform my friends who’ve pent $500 on their esc and motors.
I love that the Pro version is shorter, but it is also a bit larger diameter than the previous version. That could be a problem, because on both of my SCX10.2 that run the original Fusion system (smaller diameter) I had to trim the left hand rock rail/receiver box mount to get it to fit and it's still really tight. The additional width of the Pro might become an issue on the 10.2
