Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, is where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in. Directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream, and featuring the voices of Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively, “Elemental” releases on June 16, 2023.

If there's one thing to give this film credit for, it would be the amount of squash and stretch used for the animation. It really shows that the team was having fun with it.

Here is the thing, a story doesn't need to have a complex story or a vast amount of themes and characters to be good. The true key to a successful story is one that has a compelling obstacle and is coherent, the last one being the most important. Stories like "The Importance of Being Earnest" is a great example of this. And the funny thing is sometimes simple is better because people get it faster and they find the complexity within it, somehow.

That’s not the only thing the critics are saying about this. They say it’s one of Pixar’s worst releases. I don’t think they paid attention to all the good stuff in the movie. Those critics should be 🔥!

I love the attention to detail of the particle effects used in these frames. These animators have spent a lot of time working on this film and would like to seethe bts of this.

The one complaint I have is the bubble that comes out of him isn't actually a bubble, it is just a spherical mesh with water physics, it isn't even hollow. The bubble just looks like a glob of water in the air instead of an actual bubble.

Fun fact: this scene was based on a real event from the director (Peter Sohn’s) life. He drew inspiration from the time his wife (a non-korean woman) tried Korean food for the first time. He said she didn’t expect it to be as spicy as it was

The animation, the world itself is such a magnificent thing. *I pray to god this gets some unique plot or take to it and not be some overly generic love story.* Because man I love the concept of elements especially since I used to watch many shows that dealt with elements like Avatar the Last Airbender, and Lego Ninjago. The bubble scream reminded me of the old cartoon. Where they trap a scream or yell in a bag or jar, take it somewhere else, and release the scream. 😂😂😂
