you just haven't been blessed by rngsus. it gives me blizzard and fireball many times or even flamestrike if they have a big board. if they get no board you can get ice barrier or counterspell or the taunt minions

The value! A 5/5 is worth 4 mana, and 6 pairs of 0/2 taunts is worth around one mana each, and then you add a one mana tax for bundling the cards, and wow! 11 mana worth of cards in just one card!

the least intellectual Arcane Intellect I have ever seen played and of course it's Chadgar and the Hearthstone AI. I think they broke Zephrys' programming because he's been offering really dumb choices lately and it seems like Chadgar is supposed to use a Mage pool and some sort of version of Zephrys' programming to choose which spell to cast. They need to fix it. It's very annoying to have one of the cards of all time and a brand new Legendary both acting like they don't know how to play Hearthstone. Chadgar needs a better pool of spells and/or better priority rules. It definitely shouldn't necessarily prioritize lethal above all else because that would be pretty broken, but if your opponent is at 2 with an empty board and it doesn't kill them that's ridiculous. I didn't even play this game and I'm really really annoyed about this. I feel like something has been personally stolen from me just watching it do that.

That it's an active consideration was never in doubt. It was clear that it wasn't. It's not Zeph. It was always clear that there isn't an AI behind the spells being cast. But the card does very much take things into account, just people are just misunderstanding what the card does. It picks a random spell from a pool. Before it picks the spell, it removes spells that wouldn't be applicable from the pool. I.e, if the enemy doesn't have any minions on board, blizzard is removed from the pool. That's it. It cast's a useful spell, simply means that it will never target your own minions with a damage spell, and that it won't cast blizzard on an empty enemy board.

Khadgar's orb select the three best spells in the situation and randomly cast one of them.

​​@@thijs2906 Nahhhh I haven't played standard in honestly like a year so I'm bronze so even though my opponents all had full net decks they weren't very experienced I don't think 😅(edit) I also legit played against 2 core mage decks 😂

That's how it works, it pulls them from a pool as long as the spell hits something

@@juliandacosta6841 Yes. But they make you believe that the card reacts in some way to the board state, and if your opponent has a 12/3 on the board is going to prioritize to remove that minion. But instead it could just makes you draw 2. It even makes me draw 2 when I had 8 cards on hand. making me overdraw on the next turn when it could do literally anything else. I'm pretty disappointed with the effect to be honest, they could make it way better with just a few twiks on when casts each spell.

@@paperknigth2263 "helpful mage spells" implies that it will take the state of the game into account, but it doesn't, with the exception of never casting blizzard on an empty board and not playing a secret that you already have out. It really should extend that logic to not playing arcane intellect with 8 cards in hand and not playing mirror image with 6 minions on board.

did the opponent have a weapon? maybe the AI hates weapons.

@@dandavidson3942 I don't see it having much issue getting to legend or at "16821" which is the rank I saw when I looked up and saw what chump was playing this deck at. I'd put money stock DK is better that you're giving it credit for, even today.

Not this version I'm afraid. A more aggressive version with more 1-drops and maybe more reach (Fireball and Forged Rune instead of the frost package) can steal wins earlier than what the warrior needs to lock you out of the game

Think about it as a value you card you get 6 free spells that is fundamentally broken in value
