She’s the most relaxed player in the WTA tour. She takes the game for what she loves to play since she was a girl. 100 humble and honest for her feelings
Never seen Elena so relaxed and talkative in a press conference. Obviously she's getting used to it. Whenever I see Elena I think about beautiful "Helen of Troy". 🥰
Absolute queen. The only one speaking out about the ridiculous schedule. No rest for these players. It’s bad for the players and the fans and the sport. Respect to Elena for still speaking up 👏
She's defininot the only player speaking up. I do have huge respect for her honesty. As she said, they make great money, but she is one of a handful that is making it to the end of each tournament. It's got to be exhausting
Elena can demonstrate her best humanness outside the court. And it is truly redeeming for me. Wishing to Elena good luck, strong health and success in Madrid tournament.
@@orchidpanda2253 yeah i mean WHY do it like that... at least put one 1000 and one 500 but two 1000s back to back is just insaneee, and this penalizes the best players as well bc what if you make it to the final... then you gotta play this Sat/Sun and again next Wed/Thu??? shit, I'd just fake injury and skip Rome altogether lmao
Good for Elena for speaking out about the brutal tour schedule for both men and women players. It's insane and causing a lot of injuries on the tour - ATP and WTA should remove the penalties for skipping 1000 events b/c they're doing damage to their bodies.
She is down to earth and voiced her real thoughts. I used to dream about being a professional tennis player when i was 17 but only those on tour know how tough it is.
What if players miss the mandatory event? like rome next week? They lose points? But dont they all lose points if they dont play one or another tournament, while the others do? Also, why some M1000 are 1 week long and some like this one is 2 weeks? what determines the length?
The players should not play everyday there shoud have rest day between matches. Why burn out the players. If Nadal Alcaraz and the others had rest days they would be able to perform much better. Have nothing against players who won. Organizers remember that are human.
Tennis need to rearange the schedule of these WTA 1000 tournaments, Indian wells and Miami and now Madrid and Rome, Players will be burnt out just on first half of the year already. Ridicilous
Well if Elena didnt make such a fuss about defeating much lower ranked opponents she would have less grounds to complain about the toughness of the tour.....sounds like shes making her excuses before she is schooled by Aryna...you know what they say...if you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen...that did not sound like the press conference of a future world number One
One thing, she never make excuse like others. If she lost, she will tell she is happy for achieving that position. She speaks what she feels without any butter up and that is so rare.
One thing she always speak from her heart not butter up. She is always happy what she achieved either she win the final or lose the final. She is so gracious on her defeat, gives credit to her opponent as well. May be u kind like a dramatic dolls. The girl like her is a rare to find
