I think the release of the Tartarus version is simply a strict upgrade compared to an errata. Erratas always cause confusion, especially for newer players- Also limitations just aren't very good at actually addressing problems imo- If you think a card is unhealthy for the game it should simply be removed, instead of turning it into this weird situation where you just try and see who can draw their 1 off to gain a huge advantage-
i get why it wasnt just errated, but if an unlimited format was to ever exist it would be even more oppressive with 2 versions existing at once. I just dont think Sparkitt was the ultimate problem for the deck as a whole and the other substitutions that are suggested are not worth using as a replacement.
