Bonnie Hunter mixes everything. I don’t know how she does it but her quilts end up cohesive and beautiful.

If the pattern says to applique something, then yes -- I don't know what the pattern says, though. But, I don't think FWFS has done applique yet in any of their sew alongs.

So, I cut all my rectangles 1/2” too short. I’m waiting for replacement fabric. 🥲

I've done that. The black is dark enough you might be able to add an inch piece of fabric to the side without people really noticing. I had to do that with Sunshine On My Mind!

@@QuiltMeetsWorldI thought of that after seeing Stephanie’s middle block, but didn’t have 16 inches of the same fabric left over and no black in my non-existent stash so I’d still need to buy something. Hoping the rest of my cuts are ok and that there’s something in week 3, I can work on while waiting for the replacement to arrive. (I’m pretty much a beginner, but have never messed up on cutting two weeks in a row!)
