Seeing someone recommend this video in the Amazon reviews was a godsend. While I'm not interested in the streaming capabilities of the mic, all the features are definitely helpful for raising the quality of my audio for Discord and Zoom calls while balancing the levels of all the different programs I have running during them. Just came back to this video to see how to separate the audio from the main Wave Link Stream in my Streamlabs Desktop. SUCH a life saver because everyone in Atlanta is drag racing through the city today and I can't record with that background noise. lol I've now been able to use Streamlabs Desktop Noise Suppression to filter and adjust further from there and it's tons better. Thanks!

I actually got the wave 3 with the pop filter and shock mount and it took me a while to get wave link stream to work but I figured it out and the software is amazing I’m never changing from this microphone it’s the best with this mixing software

this microphone is the ideal solution for me as a voice-over actor, now I can record the vocals and hear the producer from another studio. without all that other extra hardware that costs a lot of money. now my studio is completely digital and with less equipment. I am happy with the Egato wave 3.

Fantastic video; thank you so much! It took the daunting task of understanding how this should work and made it simple, straightforward, and easy. I am still encountering a faint latency issue -- if I try to pass any kind of game audio through my Wave Link, I get a fairly significant latency issue, but if I allow it to come out through my regular speakers without first passing through Wave Link, I have no latency. If anyone happens to know what I can do to fix it, much appreciated. Thank you!

To anyone watching in 2022, I'm not too sure if anyone else had this issue, but for certain games there was no settings to change my output to Elgato wave link 3 game such as Left 4 Dead 2 for example. As a result, what I did was go into the "app volume and device preferences" or the windows settings that allow you to change the output and input and changed the output of Left 4 Dead 2 to Elgato wave link 3 game from there. I'm no professional by any means, so please do let me know if this method has it's own flaws, but for me this worked smoothly. Thanks to the video nerd's tutorials I was able to figure this out for myself so thank him and thank you for reading! I hope this helped anyone struggling with the same issue I was.

Perfect video for someone who is starting and looking to be guided through the process. Honestly one of the best videos that I have seen on how to go about getting the settings how you want it. I am having issues right now and well I think this will help me. I am assuming that the program is only useful and functions only with the Elgato Microphones. If it works with other microphones that would be INSAME! But GREAT video!

Hi! Thanks for the kind words :) Yes, the software only works when the elgato microphone is connected. But obviously you can upgrade your mic in the future, use it separately in obs and use this software to manage all your other sounds. But.. if you upgrade your mic.. you might as well get a goxlr (mini) :)

@@TheVideoNerd Your welcome, again, I have had way too many issues trying to get my streaming set up to work and function. But it has given me more headaches than anything. I believe I have all the components (PS4, Gamining monitor, Razor Headsets, Rode NTmini Mic, Elgato HD60s+ capture card and a Mac for streaming) and still I haven't been able to stream and connect all the audio. Your video has now convinced me that I should get the Elgato Wave 1 microphone. I will be looking into more of your videos to get it all set up. I will also follow the settings and adjust accordingly. This was the first video I saw in your channel and trust me you might even hear from me in your other videos. Probably ask a few questions if something doesn't work. thank you again for this video and also thank you for your prompt response to my comment, I really appreciate it.

Brilliant man! Will be liking and subbing and joining all, sorry but already purchased the wave 3 and sdeck, but will investigate the boom arms, my only issue is the dropouts I get where after setting it all up for some reason I have to unplug and plug the mic in again, there has to be a background setting in windows somewhere I just haven’t found it yet! Many thanks well discussed
