After years of use in the rain, sludge, rust, squeaks and oxidized electrical contacts abounded on my vespa px. Rust had seized some of the bolts and the summer sun had dulled the headlight… but the gaskets also needed attention by now. So I took out the Svitol cans and started dispensing on the engine to soften and dissolve the grease and therefore the accumulated sludge. After a few minutes spent cleaning the engine with the svitol, I got an exceptional result with the engine clean and grease free. I also greased the kickstand with svitol spray grease, to eliminate the squeak... now my kickstand is quiet and smooth. Having oxide on the contacts, I applied svitol elettric on the electrical contacts on the handlebar and on the battery. Finally I lubricated the locks, and revived the rubbers and gaskets. I also unscrewed the screws and bolts blocked by the wheel, because they were all rusty. Rusted bolts must be treated with a lubricant to avoid stripping them during attempts to unscrew. Svitol also protects against oxidation so it is also ideal for preventing and avoiding finding myself in the conditions I found myself in. I can be satisfied with the result obtained in a few minutes, both from an aesthetic and functional point of view.
