Elite Force H8r Review - Is This The Next BEST Thing? - The $60 Airsoft Gun - Elite Force H8r Unboxing and Review
The Elite Force H8r revolver is one of the most hyped up airsoft guns on this year but is it all really deserved or are you being lead to believe a myth? We'll I was sent one of these "amazing" pieces to give my insight on its existence.
First thoughts out of the box would be that I was impressed with the build construction. For $60 I did not expect much but instead of a flimsy pile, I was greeted with a well put together body with no wobbling parts.
For features there is not much to talk about but the reloading process does stand out. The loading of discs that insert into the mock cylinder did turn me off from the H8r however in retrospect, they are very easy to load and you even receive 4 extra discs so you keep yourself stocked up during a somewhat heavy game.
The H8r does show itself as a sub $100 gun in a few ways but not to the point that it's unusable. You have to pick your fights when using the H8r and not expect crazy feats of marksmanship however you should try to use the H8r as a close range option just in case of close by enemies that need to be taken out in style. Show some skill with a revolver in a game and you know you'll feel the satisfaction of a good HIT.

USAirsoft that it does. it's also why stores are having trouble keeping them on the shelves. it's been forever since the last cheap attempt at a skirmishable revolver (ztorm) that can get the job done under can limits and this one just may do it.

Some of them. If the barrel was thin and kept the rail at the bottom, I’d say it would look just like the Imago Loop because of the sights (excluding the fact that all hand cannon sights are projected, obviously). This one looks mainly like the ones from the House of Wolves DLC.

As a fan of revolvers, I think it's a great addition to the airsoft market. Being sub-100 dollars and CQB-legal right out of the box is great. I find that the design is very unique too. It gives off a futuristic vibe to me. The addition of 4 more rounds than your standard six-shooter also gives it an edge in the field even close to some lower capacity pistols which have around 15 rounds. Overall, I think it will be worth the customer's money and a real breakthrough for airsoft revolver play. Next in line a hop-up version would be cool if possible. Thanks for the wonderful review. I hope you'll be doing a Smokewagon and Wildcard review too. By the way, I don't know if I missed it, but how is the trigger pull? My revolvers have quite a heavy trigger pull.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday and I actually love it. Yes it's polymer so take care not to bang it up to much, but getting 100 plus shots out of one co2 and get 5 disks with it makes it very attractive to use. Mine was shooting pretty accurate with elite Force .25's at around 60 feet, but I wouldn't really be using it at less then that ever as it is a side arm meant for minimum engagement. All in all for right around $60 this is a fantastic sidearm I'd say.

ginomp347 as far as I can tell the inner barrel can not be replaced nor is the barrel threaded. I have not removed the orange tip on mine yet but by the looks of it it will just be flat when I remove it with no threading.

ginomp347 sorry forgot to give you the update. So it actually did pretty damn well. It was a outdoor game in cold weather so the co2 handled beautifully. I used it exclusively at 25 feet or less and I was able to get two separate occasions where I took out a team of five in attack and defend using only the H8R. I will say that the double action makes it slightly harder to use then what you would see from a regular handgun, but it performed beautifully none the less and I got a lot of people on the field wanting to check it out. I would have loved an adjustable hop up as I noticed a lot of drop off past around 50 feet, but realistically my engagement distance with my rifle is 50 feet and above so I only need it for below that anyways. :)

I really enjoy my H8R, I use it outdoors mostly, i've gotten really decent range with .20/.25's for a non-hop pistol, I use .36's and it does great with those.

Well getting the co2 in the grip. Needed a flat head to open the grips. But over all nice gun for the price. Gave this to my little bro who is starting airsoft. He likes the futuristic looking weapons.

if your new to the sport it's an amazing sidearm, if I was to get one I would use small drill bit to add dots to sights, would be nice if at some point they add a pro model with the small little bits done, like make the cylinder rotate etc,

Brainexploder made a nice video on how to mod this gun to get a nice working adjustable hopup. Considered that this gun can be bought for 60~70$, I would consider is a great value buy, since the polymer it is made of is of better quality than most 100$ guns out there.

I honestly like mine for a couple reasons. 1. It is perfectly a "Airsoft" gun. it's only slightly modeled after a real gun (although most outside the community wouldn't know) but it fixes a lot of problems I have with airsoft sidearms. Mags are cheap (2 for $10), the gun is cheap, and I don't have to mess with a flimsy hop up. It improves upon the revolver platform which always suffered from low ammo. 2. It serves a very nice purpose for the community. For people like me who are tired of buying handguns that break all the time (I have had a very bad time with green gas) this one just works. It makes a great room clearing gun for when you are entering a building (which is honestly the only reason I carry a pistol), and I can keep the spare 7 mags I have in my admin pouch. if I did that with my other favorite pistol (EF Beretta M92) it would wheighted me down too much. honestly the only complaint is a sort of major design flaw. The metal tooth inside the gun that moves the "clips" forward will chew the plastic gear on the clip. But at $10 for 2, and the fact that it doesn't eat through Co2 like a SUV does gas, this honestly is the most budget minded pistol.

For those watching this in 2019. WAIT. TO. BUY. GEN 2 is coming out this year, it includes fiber optic sights and an ACTUAL hop system. All for an extra 5$. So you won't have to tdc mod the gun. The hope system should let the gun shoot accurately between 100-150 feet

For someone like me who has played airsoft for 6 months, and still a newbie, I have had a bad luck with long distance engagement as I pay close attention to my mistakes. I noticed though that close range or minimum engagement distance, I excel better in that type of style of play. So I might resort to buying this revolver and leave aside my m14, I don't have a side arm, so I think this is the best choice for me to start over from fresh and do it right, since I made the mistake starting off rushed.

Being a revolver guy i love the h8r it reloads quick disc mags are cheap and you can carry tons of them ive got like 12 disc for it only problem ive ever had is if i didnt properly lube the co2 seal it blows out easily and finding one is difficult but you can get cheap replacements by buying a 2 dollar oring kit from autozone or orileys

I love this gun. I use it primarily for field play, which means I don't get to use it often at ballahack, however it looks amazing with my revelations kit which is primarily what I use it for. That being said, most combat interactions happen within 100 feet so it comes in handy alongside my ICS galil which lets me really reach out and touch someone.

Their is one made by umarex called Umarex Brodax .177 Caliber Steel BB Airgun Pistol. It shoots .177 bbs and it’s FPS is 375.

So the field I go to most of the time has a limit of 300 fps, is there anyway I could make this gun get around that? It’s generally really hot, as it is indoor, I’m not sure how that affects CO2, but this gun looks great for its price. Nice vid!

Friend of mine recently got this as his first pistol. Only problems I have with it after looking at it was the fixed hop up and the balance, if you are wanting to do spinning with this revolver I would suggest getting something else.

Kinda reminds me of Vash's revolver from Trigun. Main visual difference would probably be that the actual barrel on this is higher than the revolver in the anime. I said probably be really good for a cosplay though if you could find it in gray/silver

If you can get 200+ plus shots out of a single CO2, then I'd give no mind to the grip issues. I'm considering getting this as a backup for my secondary(elite force 1911 tac) especially since I'm using that as a primary until the Kriss Vector AEG comes out. This might also be good for mounted shooting.

For 60 buck sidearm.. Not too shabby, all real cons I can think of is the cylinder not spinning at all. If you get a revolver for BB slinging, you pretty much want authentic action!

im a noob at airsoft and i bought this gun not knowing the hype for it. So when i went to the airsoft field a lot of people kept on asking me where i got it(cause it wasnt technically released), i kept telling them i got it offline. thought you would like to know :)

With a longer barrel, it would look similar to Ocelot's Tornado-6 in MGSV

The only real problem i see with this is the "clip release." Frantically prodding your finger in your gun in a heated battle isnt the best situation. Maybe an extension on the release so you can give it the ol' HK slap?
