The greatest marathon runner of all time yet just looks like another on one the guys at training. No ego or megastar BS. Footballers could learn a thing or two.
Eliud is impressive calm and relaxed, he didn't look like pushing even at 2'50/km in those terrain at high altitude... wow, maybe next week we will see something extraordinary
Its the stride length of these elite Kenyan athletes, that impresses me the most. I know their track workouts are brutal, but they cover so much ground in one stride, probably two of my stride lengths in one.
@@krishnasable3730 super bro. Try to put more to practice in india like place in kerala, karanataka, tamilnadu mountains having 2500ft height. But all the best bro
I’m sorry but I disagree with you. He has the best coaches, nutritionist, AT, PT, strength and condition, analytics, apparel, and scientists in the world working with him to break 2. Yes he runs on a dirt track but that is to prevent shin splints
BALD I mean yeah he’s also a millionaire living among poverty right there, but nothing takes away from the fundamentals couldn’t be the best if he didn’t do the one main thing he’s training for and that’s running
I havent done a full marathon yet. I've done 1 half marathon and I didnt train for it. My time was 1:17:43. Planning on doing another one soon and I have been training for it so I should be around the same time/closer to 1:15:00. Way slower than these guys lol
For real, they don’t look that fast but once you try running at that pace, you’ll start killing yourself before 2k and they do it over... and over... and over
I think part of the reason are those wonderful dirt tracks, and most roads are also dirt (for long runs, tempo runs, etc.). Also, he knows his body really well and slows down when necessary during training.
That's absolutely no disrespect, but to me all those runners sound like horses😂 am I the only one? And in addition, wish you nothing but the best for the Kineos 1:59 challenge, Eliud💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
they all are wearing nikeys apart from a few wearing adidas, sure they're probably all sponsored but im curious why non of the other big brands - hooka, brooks, altra etc havent sponsored them. I wasn't left with the impression that nikeys have the best runnign shoes but apart from the sponsorship I doubt they'd settle for anything less than the best, im curious. I'd like to try a nikey running shoe but they dont have a neutral one from what I searched, all of them have a lot of cushoning.
Boyan Anakiev different strokes for different folks. I can’t even wear Nike because they’re too narrow for my feet but for someone like Eliud I’m sure he actually got to sit down with them and design a shoe that worked perfect for him
Nike Pegasus and Nike Vomeros are both Neutral Training shoes. The Pegasus are shit and will fall apart within 4-6 weeks if you run high-ish mileage. The Vomeros are a very high quality shoe. I have been wearing them for over 3,000 miles (2 years now) not exaggerating one bit. I’m a cheap ass so I love them haha
Nike are really killing the running trainer market these days. Just converted myself from the usual Brooks/saucony and must say, they are streets ahead.
Sandor Bako it’s perfect for marathon running enough cushion and lightweight only thing bad abt it is the complaints of the vapor weave not holding the foot in place .
Most of them take drugs probably. Berlin marathon almost a record out of nowhere, 5 first places both categories were ethiopians. bekele's coach involved in a doping scandal, bekele had 1 positive test in the past (federation covered it). galen rupp also involved, there is no proof but drastic change in results and confessions of his former teammates. people treat bolt like a superhero at the same time gatlin got booed. One famous 100m race 5 runners caught on doping and people still believe bolt who beats dopers like kids is clean. Yeah sure Alemitu Bekele and Elvan Abeylegesse both representing Turkey born in Ethiopia caught on doping and disqualified.
@@edwardshowden5511 You have basically said Bekele is on drugs and Bolt was on drugs.. Help me figure out which "FACTS" you are referring to. The beauty of FACTS is you need PROOF. What you believe is different..
@@edwardshowden5511 drugs or not, marathon is difficult, very difficult if you training very well you can fly, drugs is secondary option. primary tools is training not drugs
I can't imagine wearing shoes like that anymore. It's like they have big pillows on the bottom of their feet. Just seems so unnatural, like a condom that's an inch think.
