Steve Prestwich was born in Liverpool, England, emigrating to Australia at 17 with his family, settling in Elizabeth East. Jimmy Barnes was born in Glasgow, Scotland, emigrating to Australia at age 5 with his family in 1965, eventually settling in Elizabeth West.
Steve and Jimmy would meet in the early 70s and help co-found one of Australia's most successful and iconic rock acts, Cold Chisel.
