I've been a waitress for 18years!! This is fucking hilarious! Some restaurants require that you memorize orders. I write everything down, to make sure that its always right.

Anyone else never been in a bathroom with an attendant??? I’m not poor, and I’ve been to a few nice restaurants, but never one with an attendant. Ellen I think you just go to crazy expensive restaurants

I've been to bathrooms with attendants a couple of times (at a fancy hotel where I was, I believe, attending a wedding reception or a big 18th birthday party for a cousin). It was weird because I'm not that rich and this guy is giving me hand sanitizer and a towel.

Yeah it is a thing. Very uncomfortable. And I'm not going anywhere crazy expensive. We just have to know we can't frame our understanding only on what we personally experience, or doubt something just because we don't know. Big world out there.

Her new stand up is not bad... but it’s a far cry from some of her early work. What she did in the 80’s and 90’s is some of the best stuff out there.

I didn't laugh because it's not my kind of comedy. Lot of people did in that room, hence she is funny to them. Just because you don't laugh at her performance, it doesn't mean she's not funny at all. It's about preference.

She never said all restaurants. Very specifically she said fancy restaurants. And I'm so glad you took the time to validate her net worth, she was feeling insecure about her financial status. Most people have never had first hand experience with a bathroom attendant but many of us have seen it in movies or TV and wonder what that would be like, and us commoners would feel weird about it and she was relating her own weirdness about it.

I've seen the "memorising wait staff" done as a bit so often, I'm finally beginning to understand that in America it really is a thing! Waiters in England never go round without a pad in their pocket.
