Whatever you do, don't mention the Giant Hogweed. Instead, why not call it Heracleum mantegazzianum, it is a monocarpic perennial herbaceous plant of the carrot family Apiaceae. Heracleum mantegazzianum is also known as cartwheel-flower, giant cow parsley, giant cow parsnip, or hogsbane. So there you go Helen. No need to mention the unmentionable Giant Hogweed ever again. You just need to get your tongue around the new name. How good is that? You were so taken up with the narrow, overgrown canal that you never spotted the crocodile in the bullrushes or that big green snake slithering down through the Willow tree branches. Sorry to learn you have been ill with flu. It reminded me of the title of a film... Chesty in Chester. Keep your hands in your trouser pockets Tony. It's expensive in Chester, but it is a lovely place. Get well soon. I prescribe taking a bath in Heinz 57. You'll soon be full of beans. Failing that, I recommend a rub down on your chest with Goose fat. It never fails to make you laugh and you'll soon feel better when it has melted or the pigeons stop pecking your pectorals. The canal was mad, so overgrown! Bruce could sleep on a washing line! 😂 Yes we have been frozen in now for near on 2 weeks, just about clear now. Forgive the late reply, the flu has knocked us for six, nearly back to 100% now. Take care & thanks for your kind words 👍

I know - I think the boats are tied with insurance issues - but the rubbish is moved one week and it’s back the next xx
