Suck fake book , Got shut off the crap after the elections,Couldn’t stand the out and out lies , Out of the Zucks Cake hole. Best thing I did go to Signal asap.
I'd like to see Zuckerburg be deported back to his home planet along with his sister Jen Sucky. But, knowing the Biden Adminastration they will just replace her with someone who lies even worse.
I deleted my FB years ago, for simplistic reasons: it's purpose (to find my old school friends from my home overseas) had been completed. I exchanged email addresses with them, and that was that. The constant bombardment of grafix was causing my dinosaur of a computer to crash, as well, so I could only log in for a rew minutes, before I got the blue screen of death. Being allergic to aggravation, I just tossed it, like a salad. NOW, when I hear about all the awful stuff that's developed in the meanwhile, I just feel all the better about my decision. 😉
Most of my real-world connections are 1000+ miles away. Forced cross country moves are disruptive, and a platform that is not shared by the specific set of users that I wish to connect with is useless to me regardless of feature set.
The real world is now digital and global where people are able to connect instantaneously to family and friends that live all over the globe. Large corrupt corporations like Facebook know how important family and friends are to most people and how important it is to stay in communication and they've taken advantage of this. Some people don't have a normal "real life" outside of their online connections because they are either bedridden or in a wheelchair and can't leave the house. There are people in virtual worlds who don't have a normal life outside of that world and FB is even taking advantage of those people now. Somebody needs to beat them to the punch by creating a virtual world greater than anything Facebook could ever do and then stomp Mark Zuckerbergs guts out for taking advantage of people who JUST want to stay connected to their families.
Validation in how many likes my post got, who commented, block my ex, did they unblock me? keyboard warrior to spew inaccurate shit and say something can never do face to face, ect. Some good in FB much more bad!
@@agag6949 Some of it is manipulation just as all advertisement is but the reason people stay on social media such as Facebook is often for validation. Manipulation may be why Facebook does what they do but validation is why the marks stay to be manipulated.
Mainly used to try to inform others; got me banned for 30 days , five times in six months! Apparently FB finds it threatening to have a mind of your own!
My total number of 30 day bans by fakebook when placed end to end, totaled to 2 & 1/2 years! Needless to say, no sense in having an account. Fk that place.
Deleted my Facebook in 2012, never had Instagram or Twitter .. I only use RU-vid. BEST THING EVER. People are so entrenched in becoming a 'NOTHING' simply by not living up to their own potential. So many people waste their entire lives on social media and absolutely NOTHING to show for it. The greatest tragedy of humanity.
@@AgnesVivarelli need to stop the Y.T. Addiction also. Get Gab, Parler, Odysee, Rumble, Bitchute or Truth, anything but Liberal New World Order wannabe tyrant dictator web sites.
Different people use "social media" differently. For me, it's a link to friends and family that are 1000+ miles away, but I don't use it as a news source or for anything "serious". It's purely social. Others seem to live on such platforms.
@@ashishpuri7042 I use no social media at all. I worked in IT before I retired and won't use any of them. What you put out there sits on a server forever. How many people have been fired over a remark made 5, 10 or even 15 years ago. Zuckerberg has no ethics at all. Elon is right!
@@clarkelliott5389 I don't care to be honest.. who's watching me or if my data sits on their servers forever... we're all gonna die anyway.... what really affects me is a constant pressure of showing a lifestyle or me trying to be portrayed as a person that i am really not...
I have not had facebook for more than two years, and I try to tell people daily how destructive it is to their and their children's lives. I completely agree with Musk and hope more people wake up about the EVILS of FB and their other apps...

My quality of life has NOT improved, but Fakebook had nothing to do with that. Any gain it may have caused has been completely overshadowed by having two non-functional idiots leading the executive branch!
Deleting FB was cathartic for me, I got fed up with their heavy handed oversight, 'fact checkers' and censorship. Never again. Zuck can stew in his own juices.
Thats my aunt to a T she's always posting about her life. I went to visit her one day(I live a few hours away and we're not that close) and it turns out she's lying about how her life really is. Kinda when u watch a trailer and it turns out the trailer was alot better than the movie🤷🏻♀️. Also she has this personal competition thing with my mother that has now somehow turned on to me🤦🏻♀️
Me too! I have a fb acct but never opened it in almost 6 yrs now. I tend to sin as i judge people by watching their posts that are obviously posted to brag so might as well not open it and so far i haven't missed fb and my life became simple and focused on things that will make me productive not destructive :)
It’s just like any other thing we use, just don’t abuse it! Don’t let it control you,! It can be used for good and bad, it all depends on how you use it. 🙏🏼💯
It’s a tricky one as I really want to delete my social media but it has really helped me as a 3D artist with commissions & recognition. I just don’t post my personal life.
I was banned from twitter last year. I didn't really post much there, but apparently liking posts they don't like is enough to get you permanently removed. I deleted FB a few months ago, after my friend got banned for something she posted in 2011. I figured if they were banning people for ten year old posts, my days were numbered anyway. Haven't missed either.
@@williamlyons3947 I amazingly got unbanned on X, shortly after Elon took it over. I had always said if I was ever able to recover my account, I would delete it completely, but I decided to give Elon a chance. X is a lot more fun than Twitter, and I am still on there.
Awesome! A couple of months ago I stayed off for a week and 2 weeks another time as I could just feel it wasn't doing me any good, I felt so much clearer after it, my gosh it really was a huge difference mentally, Ive been feeling like that last few weeks, time to get off it! There's just so much bullshit, now seeing it's even more fake than what I thought, yuck, such a shame because it was a great idea especially if you lived in different states or countries so that for friends and family would be great, but it did go yuck that's for sure
You cannot delete an FB account. Only deactivate it, and FB keeps your posts and photos because as soon as you upload something, it belongs to them, not you
It's been interesting over the years. Initially, anyone who did not have a Facebook account was a weirdo or antisocial. Today, most of the successful people I know deactivated their accounts four or five years ago. They're simply too busy with real things to give their time to nothingness.
And that's how I got separated from everyone else, because I didn't have facebook no one wanted to talk to me. They thought I was antisocial :/ or something.
You don't need Facebook alternative since Facebook is literally a waste if time. It is not needed at all as we can share and communicate easily without such platforms.
@Sir Sandwich You can Skype, zoom, team, etc for that purpose. Craft sites have their own platform. No need Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc to poisoning your mind. I only had FB for a short while, deleted 6 years ago and never missed. Never registered on Twitter, insta, tik tok, Snapchat or whatever platform is the actual favourite or trend... I mostly ignore YT algorithm as well. Watching the channels I’m interested in and put in the search bar what I’m looking for. Thanks god I learned about propaganda and rhetoric, social psychology and they cannot easily wash my brain. If they can at all. Being open minded doesn’t mean that you have to follow all the rubbish. You can listen and if they cannot convince you with reasoning, then just ignore them. Simple is that.
@@cristinaruiz6242 I don’t know what do you use for, buying or selling and what sort of things. There is eBay, if craft there is Etsy, for second hand stuff gumtree and Spock and even Amazon, though I would not go there even if they would pay for it... Bezos at least so dodgy than Mark Zuckerberg. There is many many selling platforms!
Why dont you just ring your friends and family to have a chat like we used to before social media? It worked well. I miss those long conversations with my friends.
@@dennisgarber That is a new custom. If the person you're ringing couldn't take the call, you left a message on their message bank, or prior to that, their answering machine, for them to call you at their convenience. We would check our messages once or twice daily. Now you have to be attached to your device, and people think you're rude if you don't return their call immediately.
Yeah I used to talk on the phone all the time in my teen years. I hate talking on the phone and I have hated it for the last 10 years. I suppose that correlates with my social media use.
Left social media over four years ago (except LinkedIn and RU-vid if it counts) Can say with absolute certainty that the quality of my life and my thoughts improved massively. From focusing on others I started focusing on myself and my goals. My behavior also changed , I stopped wanting to take photos of everything, I am more present in the moment and when with people. I don’t take selfies unless a friend asks me to take one. I don’t wait for likes and comments. I go on and gather more experiences. It removed all the negative energy in my life. It removed the need for social approval from my life.
@@KyleGD true that. RU-vid can be a great tool to increase knowledge. Depends on how you use it. LinkedIn is essential for me for career, I don’t use it much for networking. I stay old school for that bit.
@@elishabraun196 it's the other way for me. Almost 20 years following him; since I was a teen. He's the Kanye of the tech industry. Frankly, he's a fraud. I refused to believe it initially.
Every time I try FB to check in with family &friends I end up being drawn in by endless streams of negative put downs & bickering over differing thought & grown adults spiral into hateful arguments so easily. It turns FB into an awful experience bc of the promotion of political wokeness & fostering intollerance of any other views. I regret going on FB every time.
I finally pulled the trigger and closed my account,,,feel so much better,,,your life becomes more private,,,never talk about your accomplishments and in my case,,,I don’t try to find a good man anymore ,,,,,I just became one
only go and access retro computing groups and avoid everything else - plus I quarantine the particular browser that's used and always go thru a vpn. in those groups things have stayed civil and fun
The thing that FB silently steals that astounds me is how fast time rolls by when using it. It is crazy, and they are getting away with so much more than that, of course.
Selling privacy is a big industry, just look at the acres of land full of data farms. Information is power, and information is for sale. But to whom? And from where? Look at the bigger picture, on our channel and at our blog. Is not knowing really worth the risk? Our blog looks at many angles, all in one place. Who really cares what is going on?
Deleted mine 2 years ago. and its a life changing experience - no likes, shares, dope time, sharing personal info to adverts, no bull shit... AND I LOVE IT! Life without FACEBOOK is amazing!
I dropped it back in 2011 and have never looked back!!! But beware, your social group will change. I was shook by how many ppl found it difficult to stay connected in real life. I can see how it will control the masses. Sounds like the Good book of Revelation, May God have mercy on us All.
I've watched so many long term friendships and family relationships end because of FB. I remember the day I quit FB, I noticed everyone was fighting and saying nothing but mean comments to each other. I do miss the good things about it, but I honestly felt it wasn't worth it. As always Elon is right.
This was one of the reasons I deactivated it last year. The only thing keeping me from deleting it is the fact that my family uses fb messenger for our group text. We're looking for alternatives and Signal is looking to be the best bet.
I actually did delete Facebook due to bullying due to some one I actually knew. I also realized, even though I had a lot of so called friends, it really didn't mean anything because we didn't really communicate plus I did not enjoy the negativity before covid came around. My life is so much more peaceful without facebook and I know who my real friends are!!!
How do you get bullied on social media? If someone talks shit you can just block them. I usually don't block them and go after them harder than they come at me and call them out for a street fight. I don't let people bully me or even try. Especially if it's someone I know they're not going to talk shit for too long and get by with it.
Felt superficial when my real friends wouldn't call me even on my bday but barley interact on fb usually just the annual happy birthday on the wall. I took my date off and no did either way after. Of course I still dont talk to those people after the delete either.
Same as below, dumped FB 2 years ago. Such a relief. I like my friends so much more now. 😆 Now I disagree to use the “alternative”. There is no alternative that doesn’t end in the same negative result of social media.
Both men are very wealthy and successful business entrepreneurs, but that’s where the similarities end. One of the two men possesses a fair amount of integrity and creative talent, who produced his wealth through very innovative ideas meant for societies benefit. The other man is lacking these character qualities, and who you likely wouldn’t chose to guard your back in a Fox hole.
Me too, I haven't been on there in years , I don't even remember my passwords and such. I don't miss it at all . It always felt like an obligation, and I also felt I didn't need anyone's validation for anything. Life's better without it. 😌
Try to delete a FB account.. and feel how much is done by the platform to never let you go... They want to keep the data.. more more more.. I think one somehow efficient way to reduce the "FB footprint" is first to delete as much as possible of anything published by yourself on FB. Eleminate.. eleminate... eleminate... Which can turn out to be quite a job! Once all the "home is cleaned up"... you may consider to start the labarious negotiations with FB to please let you go... without an eternal grave marker in their digital realm.
Yup! The data is kept, but to actually delete an account requires you to delete every single post. Otherwise the account stays there for you "later". I found that out.
Well, I feel like you guys are sober minded like me :) Glad to see like minded people. I quit Facebook in 2018... Best decision ever. I no longer have to worry about "what can I post next" or spending hours on it when I could be doing something more productive. I used to be a real Facebook junkie, never thought I could live without it but here I am today. I basically don't use no social media platform atm. I wouldn't call RU-vid social media 😁 I learn so much from here
I deleted it a long time ago, but would go back because everybody said I was just being paranoid. Since it had come out, my soul had been screaming to delete it. I could absolutely feel the manipulation, darkness and control on it. I may sound crazy to some, but I would put up a psychic shield before using it every time. It was pretty difficult to do, and took a certain amount of energy. I've had it permanently deleted for a while now and actually cried tears of joy when everybody around me recently started deleting it. I couldn't understand why they couldn't feel what I was feeling, but I am so happy that it's not on the same path of total control that it was heading. Huge relief. 💝
I'm an old-fashioned documents guy. I like books and libraries, because they can accumulate information, knowledge, for centuries, for use at random times as necessary. I dislike information loss. So, I don't like ephemeral forms of communication. I don't like listening to people talking, either. Facebook is tolerable, because it allows me to send messages that can be read by groups of people, but even it annoys me because it is difficult to impossible to reference past posts, even my own. I use Facebook primarily because much of my extended family has wandered into it and I can, for the first time in my life, contact them. The fact that I can socialize with other people and exchange ideas with them is a nice bonus, though Facebook rations that ability, further reducing its usefulness to me.
I paid for advertising for a month or so, and didn't see any "real" traffic to my business page. Just a bunch of numbers they said my ad reached. Never believed them, and felt like they just took my money.
I have been off FB for close to four years now...I freed myself by braking the chains of social media....I aligned myself with those who speak the truth and stay far away from msm.
Hes right, get rid of it, such a toxic app, I used Facebook to stay in touch with friends abroad initially but as time went by I could see 👀 its just used to keep an eye on people , don't have time for that crap. Life is complicated enough. Since I got rid of Facebook I feel like I can breathe 😍

after watching so many RU-vid tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses until Mrs Evelyn started managing my investments now I make $60,567 weekly. God bless Evelyn Alene Rhines, she's been a blessing to my family.
I deleted all of my (anti)social media accounts as I could no longer in good conscience support such platforms. There is too much corruption and ultimately I got so sick of making others rich by giving my time and getting nothing in return. I am a graphic designer and it is not normal in my industry to not be found on all these main platforms. But only living fish fight the current. I encourage everyone to think for themselves and if you find the same conclusion as I did, consider deleting all your social media accounts and take back your life, your power and your freedom. 🇺🇸🤟🏻
Shock treatment, the current being applied, the world is there now. Taking back the power and taking back the freedom, may be lost to most people. What becomes of life, without the freedom to express? So many things have now changed, where do you begin? Look at the bigger picture, on our channel and at our blog. Is not knowing really worth the risk? Our blog looks at many angles, all in one place. Who really cares what is going on?
Now that you’re off social media how do you find work as a graphic designer? I’m a photographer and have considered many times deleting it all but losing that marketing too is scary.
@@carsonhollis Well my path as a designer has not been good for some time now. I have been unemployed for 3 years at this point and I am pretty busy with taking care of my niece as well so I don't actively do client work very much. That being said, I never really found success marketing myself on social media so it was easy for me to leave.
I deleted Facebook over two years ago and feel for those still addicted to keeping their focus on things outside themselves. Look out the window and enjoy your life. The meta will consume our insecure souls.
Deleted my Facebook a little more than 3 months ago, I was very comparative for unusual reasons that created underwhelming and irrelevant feelings. Honestly a huge improvement on my mental health!
I gave up Facebook more than 2 years ago, now, instead of sitting in front of the computer or phone all day, reading every other person's opinion, I go out for walks and meet people for coffee, far more relaxing.
I just deleted mine. not due to elon. but due to them telling me they was gonna suspend/ban my account over some content I posted restricted to me and my friends. soni did them a favor and deleted my account 🤷🏻♂️
@@aaronlward what difference does it make? cause it is restricted to my friends. if my friends share my post. it's none viewable. but if its factual information. why is it a problem?
Why instead of looking "alternatives" we ALL rest some time from ALL social media? At some point most of people has experienced censorship, banning, etc. from their accounts, (mine included) and that time within MYSELF was priceless. 😓🙌🏻
Kind of like before you had it, peace and quiet???? I'm about to get rid of social media, maybe even tv also. I remember back when I was little my grandpa got rid of his TV and he was much more tolerable to be around lol.
Best part about facebook is from the business owner perspective for advertising and consumer engagement. It’s one of the best since their demographics are so targeted.
I don’t agree with much of anything at all on the internet, but this is valuable information that should be regarded as truthful and I agree that everybody should delete what this video is about post-haste. It was difficult for me to make the decision in 2018 myself, but once I did, after three days I felt like I had my personal life back again. Try it.
I deleted both of my Facebook accounts in November 2020. When they silenced My President Donald J Trump, I decided that they were very disrespectful & very unamerican! I wanted absolutely nothing to do with them from that point on! Life has been great! Let's go Brandon!🇺🇸👍😎👍🇺🇸
Been about 6 to 7 years for me now that I haven't been on Facebook. I'm older and I still think the phone works pretty good in keeping up with friends and family. I try and shield myself from all the bull.
Solution is social media distancing meaning delete wasted electronic communication And have a real LIFE = meaningful conversation minus electronics 👋❤️
Have dropped all social media in the last few years. It brings to light who your real friends are when interactions have to be conscious rather than lazy and generic. My life is so much simpler; SM really does negatively affect how you feel about yourself and your life
I think FB is great for what I use it for; finding & reconnecting with lost friends & family and joining groups with like minded interests (like vintage computers). I just stay far FAR away from controversial groups (like religion or politics). Echo chambers can be both good and bad. It's important to know which kind you're getting involved with. NEVER CLICK ON ADS OR BUY ANYTHING VIA FB. There are safer and more private channels.
That platform changed its name and supposedly deleted its facial recognition features. Now, I'm really nervous about it for people who use it. There's something cooked up. I can't see them making a sacrifice and not gaining something larger in return. What is that "Something"? We'll never know. 👀
Looking at the comments I feel comfortable like I found my type of people! I deactivated my fb years ago and it makes me feel so much better. It was always anxiety inducing. I'm way more of an in person kind of person. I've never had luck meeting people on social media. I'd rather things happen in an old fashioned way.. kind of hard in this day and age but oh well.
Youre a VERY pretty woman! Its understandable why you'd bail on FB.. I have to deactivate mine after just a few min of "Looking around"? So much political, hate-filled trash out there.. Friends aren't what they used to be. Its sad. 💕
My facebook account permanently closed on 6th Oct 2021. Thanks for your valuable advice, Mr Musk. I have more time now to do meaningful things. FB is a real bloody waste of time; I see some colleagues posting their entire family photos, schools, even their homes locations, too much info posted up there. They deserve what is coming.
