DJ Seo is COO & President of Neuralink. Matthew MacDougall is Head Neurosurgeon at Neuralink. Bliss Chapman is Brain Interface Software Lead at Neuralink. Noland Arbaugh is the first human to have a Neuralink device implanted in his brain.
The sad inevitability of AI. Those born after the transition will never experience what they lost. Also sad is the fact that Elon feels the need to screw with the heads of less intelligent millions by deliberately posting conspiracy theories that are damaging to our Republic, which provided him the platform to do what he does.
Lex is the best interviewer, not just practical questions but also emotion evoking ones that bring out an entirely differing side of the person being interviewed.
In the broad sense, there are a limited number of people with curiousity to work hard to understand more. That's what drives them. Here are two of them.
The value Elon Musk places on his time highlights an essential debate: Should success be measured solely by financial and technological achievements, or should personal happiness and well-being be equally prioritized? His perspective makes me wonder if we’re sacrificing too much in the pursuit of progress. How do we strike the right balance between ambition and mental health?
The questions we need to ask to achieve 42: 1. What is AI? What is Quantum AI? How does it relate to Consciousness? 2. What is Quantum Gravity and its connection to Quantum Field Theory? and ultimately how this is connected to the structure of the universe. 3. What is the solution to the Riemann Hypothesis & Prime numbers? this giant hole at the bottom of mathematics, and its connections to harmonic analysis and wave fields. 4. What is the hexagon tessellation of dragons that lex saw on ayahuasca? it is connected to the flower of life and metatron's cube, this is ultimately an artifact of geometry of space time as we perceive it in 3D with our eyes, and ultimately this is connected to AI embedding space, Quantum AI, Quantum Gravity, complex field analysis
Hi Lex, I hope you're doing well. Could you ask Elon if he would be interested in our "Theory of Everything"? We've developed this theory over the course of 20 years, and we believe it could provide a more realistic perspective compared to the current approach of achieving "a deep understanding of the universe." Thank you!
Elon claims fidelity to the truth is most important for his AI, and then reposts lies on X claiming that 200,000 illegals voted. He could care less about the Truth.
You guys make for a worthy interview!! People actually listen, tune in, learn,be entertained( the procreation bit,had me rolling, the little nod lex did,I know WHY I do it,tho. Well,we know for sure absolutely no scandal on pervert accusation for Elon,he said it was a silly act w/out procreation, never knew a monied man EVER say that, usually all turn into perverts for hedonism sake . . .!! Hmmm.that is none of my business. Stop commenting. ,me. Lex,Elon you do you, your tops!! & so smart. You to act like what we talk like is normal speak.!! Live it!! You guys are genuine, brutal at times, extreme truth,& just plain love us humans!! Thanks. With all these gifts all you geniuses bestow on us,we are going to THRIVE as a species & humans AND humanity will speed forward willingly & thrive. Thank you. Thanks for your workers,Elon thanks for your brother, kimbal, who also makes us feel special as humans, that he cares for humanity's sake,& future. Thank you. This is good. Look forward to tomorrow, fellows!!❤❤️❤️🌍❤️❤️✝️🫡🤝🇺🇸⚘️🌹⚘️🌹✨️!!
He does have assistants he trusts. I.e. the COO of SpaceX who was hired way back in 2002 and basically does all day to day operations for the company. If he finds someone like that for Tesla his life would be much easier. But its a struggle, the other cofounders of Telsa didn't like how Elon kind of took everything over, and its hard to just hire someone into a developed company who will take over everything in a way that is tolerable.
the desicion of removing buttons and indicator leaver, even the gear selector, romoving the doorhandles - horrible desicions, hundreds of billions worth
I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks. I believe having 75K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities
Stock market is a long term game. Stocks appreciate quickly during the sudden hype of the company and then it depreciate slightly. But if you consider the overall performance of the company and future projects then over long term let's say over ten years 70k will become multiple times. You have to make the right decisions like getting in and out at the right time and don't sell when you got scared of the value drop but instead analyze the performance of the company and wait some years for the stocks to get appreciate. Never believe in your emotions.
It's not different than a soldier or firefighter sacrificing his life for the greater good. He feels obligated to the human race to bring these advancements as soon as humanly possible.
ppl hate him cause he is a bullshitter. he sells his image as a savior of humanity, and a brilliant engineer. i doubt he does even know how to code well. if he wasn't born rich probably he would be working as a lower middle class job.
@cjmllvv he had a slightly liberal mindset with proper values but the left has shifted so much it makes him seem conservative. Never mind his son was chemically castrated from transitioning from lack of knowledge of the repercussions. The interview with Jordan Peterson explains a lot.
I'm a socialist, mostly liberal and I like Elon. I just hope his trans kid gets a lot of money (from mom, I guess, since the kid's "dead" to Elon) and help. And I hope Elon gets over his homophobia and accepts his kid in due time. As for Elon obviously wanting to keep as much $, but in effect not spending the vast majority of it, I feel he'd work just as hard if 50% of his billions (and likely even 90%) were taxed...
"Formulating the question is the hard part; finding the answer is easy." Through this logic, we should examine and understand our bodies. By doing so, we can see how easy it is to avoid sickness, sadness, and failure. Here’s a thought experiment to help us navigate our inner selves using a simple example: I have a fun way to look at humans and how our parts work together. Imagine a robot version of yourself with the same complexity as your body, regardless of size. Let’s conduct a simple thought experiment. If you were a robot, you would have an operating system like a computer, right? You would have a processor, RAM, storage, input, and output, correct? Now, let's say you suddenly see a very shiny object in a shop, presented luxuriously. How do you process this information? Your camera-like eyes capture a digital version of that object, including its surroundings. This information then goes to the RAM to be processed by the processor. From one sensor, you gather information, and now the processor needs to understand it to store it in memory. Logically, the algorithm (operating system) should be based on continuity. The first question your processor needs to answer is: "How good is this object for making my life longer?" This is the initial query. Subsequent questions, directly or indirectly related to the object, aim to validate the initial answer. Whenever you think of or see something that reminds you of the object, more questions develop in the RAM, waiting to be answered. If this process continues for a long time, you will eventually run out of RAM, causing the system to glitch and potentially collapse. Now, you might think, "So what? Let it glitch; I'll restart myself. I'm a robot, I can do that." But remember, we're imagining a robot with the same complexity as a human. In a complex system, a glitch is hard to recover from. We have many systems today where even small glitches are difficult to fix, despite being computerized. Imagine your body, which is far more complex. So, the robot version of you would need a mechanism to empty the RAM. This mechanism motivates you to generate questions about the information you collect. In humans, this mechanism is hormones like dopamine, which help clear space in the brain (RAM). However, information can't just be kicked out; it must be logically stored. This generates continuous questions that remain in the RAM. Viewing ourselves as robots can help us understand ourselves better. Humans don't truly own information; we develop a mindset using the information around us. We can't create something that isn't allowed physically in the universe, just as we can't build an anti-gravity device because the source of gravity is external to our universe. Returning to the topic, Based on the human version of you, the RAM will become close to full within 16 hours. Therefore, your robot version also needs sleep to turn off sensors and organize data. When some information isn't readily available, the processor accesses storage to find the needed data, which is when your robot version dreams. Dreams are simply the process of the brain accessing stored information to solve current questions in the RAM. This explains why you feel sensations in your body during dreams-indicating that storage isn't just in the brain but throughout the body. The brain acts as RAM and the processor. Although RAM can act as storage, it's expensive, requires continuous power, and must be error-free. Just as a chef can't work with a cluttered table, the processor can't function with a cluttered RAM.
Elon is a great Man & Business Man, but family issues have messed his politics!!! Needs to get this resolved with his son/daughter because it is truly affecting his ability to make the world a better place!! The intellect there, but he has gotten himself in the MAGA “Echo Chamber” Just listen to his discussion about the odds of aliens and such!!!
"maga" is part of his work imo. if maga endorsement did well then may be it'd be easier for him in securing license, permission, and stuff in future kind of like lobbying.
That’s pretty rich coming from you… So which right-leaning sources do you read or watch? Let me guess, it’s zero… isn’t it? TDS addled echo chamber inhabitant 😁
Elon the man is fun but also incoherent. He warns us for AI yet is the man building the AI robots that will replace factory workers. Stop doing the things that you are warning us about joker!!!
you hate him because the internet told you to. Everyone hates billionaires(the players) but no one's hating the real creators of capatilism. The government.
@@trumpssleepparalysisdemon8569 Agree with most of that, except for the part about government creating capitalism. Capitalism just means people trading with each other freely, but government interference in that process is the polar opposite of capitalism. Some would call that "crony capitalism" but it's really just social ism, because it's top-down economic control by government, which is what social ists advocate and what capitalists are against. Government doesn't really create much of anything, it mostly just leeches off what other people create.
