Synopsis:
ELSBETH stars Emmy Award winner Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who uses her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD. After leaving her legal career for a new investigative role, Elsbeth finds herself jockeying with NYPD Captain C.W. Wagner (Wendell Pierce). Working alongside Elsbeth is Officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson). Based on the character featured in THE GOOD WIFE and THE GOOD FIGHT.

she is my favorite character. Huhu. This is the series that I was not expecting a spinoff. I love it! Cant wait to binge watch!

I'm a 50 yr old man, more likely to look for weird shows, sci-fi, some action, shows based on real events and even comedy - Not a quirky 'female-Columbo' in yet another crime show buuUUuut.... i happily admit, I thoroughly enjoyed this!.... It _did_ remind me of Columbo, in a good way!... "Columbo", the series, was good _because of_ Peter Michael Falk and this is good because of _Carrie Preston!_

It's good. It's not Columbo, which is fine, it's its own thing. She's doing a good job. Perhaps too chummy with the bad guy at the end (a girl is dead, after all) but that could be a good thing. maybe it'll grow on me. It's not Columbo, but nothing ever could replace him. "Striking out on your own" is good.

Columbo is one of my absolute favorites too! It’s right up there for me with Poirot, Mrs. Marple, Murder She Wrote, Endeavor and New Tricks. Love them! 🤩💖🙌

Elsbeth was amazing in the good fight. I'm dopo excited for her own show. And I've watched episode one it's really good . Great stories and characters. Give it a try

i think its elsbeth is the female columbo acting stupid but very inteligent columbo has the tracksuit she gat the bags hunting the suspect everywhere its just great i love it

Uhoh..Add this show to my New Faves list. Love the facial expressions. This just fun . Only watched a few minutes. Jumped to S 1 Ep 4. Didn't I see this scenario on a crime show? Like Law and Order. Pull stories from True Crime. I love how the characters let her be her and look at each other, when she's being her. Haha

It's okay! I liked her better on The Good Wife & The Good Fight. This show seems a little too scripted if that makes any sense🤔 Nothing is really a surprise about the way she solves the crimes. The story about her investigating the Captain is more interesting than the murders! Like someone else said, I'll keep watching & maybe it will grow on me?🤷🏾 Not even close to "So Help Me Todd"🥰
