His first appearance,in 96, my friend went to get a pic and autograph(she legit flies to his shows...she follows the man like he's the fucking grateful dead) and he sees her and says, 'dont you think others should have a chance?' and she's like...oh shit ...he then says, 'you were the one who jumped in front of the limo at Madison square garden last year!' HE REMEMBERED HER🤣🤣😂🤣
I love to watch these old interviews between Elton and Rosie...they have such a great connection with each other. I watch other interviews with Elton (like Arsenio Hall), and other hosts are so clueless and uninformed on the work of Bernie and Elton.
The fact that Elton is now 76 and appears to be in physical decline, his voice is at its strongest while he goes out on top. The ultimate professional!!
Couldn't believe this was a B Side to Candle in the wind. Eventually this song was released as a single, was so glad it got the commercial exposure did because it's an amazing song ❤️

He reveals more of his personality here than I’ve ever seen. His voice is so distinctive. My first album in 1971…still great. I guess he was in love here. He’s said the lyrics never matter to him. Just the music which he creates. Maybe this one is different.
