Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RU-vid, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RU-vid. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RU-vid, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

The Midnight special was a Live Performance , not a lip sync show . That's one of the reasons it was so popular "back in the day"

Midnight Special was live, that's why sometimes the sound quality is iffy. It was the 70's after all . I didn't miss it, along with Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. It was the only way to see bands live when you lived in a small town.

Midnight Special is a great source for live music. Lots of great performances, imo we’re very lucky to find them available on RU-vid. A lot of TV music performances back in the day were lip synced, but the Midnight Special was always real live singing & playing.

I met Elvin Bishop in the 90s. I worked in computers at Kinkos. He came in and I helped him print something. Being a guitarist, I knew who he was. He gave me some strawberry preserves that he had canned. Elvin Bishop came with cred, having worked with several top blues bands. That's why he's wearing the sheriff's star.

Elvin usually sang the male parts of his songs but felt his voice wasn't right for this song and got outside help for it. Elvin was the king of party songs. Lots of fun but not always politically correct. Often NSFW. Walkin' Shoes, Calling All Cows, Party 'Till the Cows Come Home, Miss Sick T***y Boom, Fishy Fish Fishin', Stealing Watermelons, Strutting My Stuff, Juke Joint Jump, etc. His nickname is Pig Boy. The Pointer Sisters were his backup singers at one time. Still going at 81!

Midnight Special was generally live only, like the BBC's Old Gray Whistle Test. Both have a great catalogue of live music from classic bands worth diving into.

In case you don't know, the guy introducing them is radio DJ Wolfman Jack. Elvin and Mickey did another song on this show that I've never seen anywhere on yt called, That Guy's Girl Too with the hookline going, She's yours, she's mine, she's that guy's girl too. Cracked me up!

Seen Elvin Bishope a few times. There's a live version of this line-up doing Traveling Shoes. An early hit on FM radio. A good tune with Micky singing duel vocals is Struttin My Stuff. Southern Funk at it's finest is Juke Joint Jump. Elvin allways had a great band. Tight as they come.

Fantastic! Go back and listen to Jane again by Jefferson Starship, and please do it as loud as you can possibly handle in the headphones. Now that you've heard it once before and now that you've heard this, it will blow you away. It's one of those that is good every time, and you keep hearing more nuances.
