I LOVE Elvira so this was pretty and I love seeing all these pinball videos. I wish Arcades had never died...I never really got to experience one. What a shame.
Chris, thank you so much for doing all these. I truely appreciate your care and attention to detail! I never really knew ANYTHING about pinball, now I really LOVE what you do to bring people into the genre!
@Padoca85 The "prototype" mods? They are pretty much sold all over the place (and some, I don't believe, exist anymore). I would check on the rec.games.pinball newsgroup...do a past-message search. You can definitely find them all somehow via that group! :)
Played the real table now. Good times. Found a private pinball parlor, fairly nearby, set up by three collectors, with some twenty-plus nineties tables. They also had my favorite: Monster Bash. Everything set to freeplay of course. They hold pinballparties almost every friday.
Man, this is a great one! Monser Bash is a pinball that compliments this one well. And is that a No Good Gopers I see there? Your bones turned out great! Love the skull mod.
Awesome work as always, I just Love Elvira, this was one of the few pinball games my local arcade in the mall here in SC had before it closed down, and turned into a lame hiphop clothing store. LOL!! So I got to play this one a few times, and really enjoyed it. :-)
@brettybluevein I have had about 50 some games in my collection over the years. At this point, I only have a couple non-Williams/Bally games. But...I do enjoy Data East quite a bit as well (hope to snag a few of those someday). Thanks for watching!
There is one of these in a restaraunt where I live, but I went there the other day and it was sad that they let it fall into disrepair. The flippers weren't even close to the same angle, the coffin door didnt lock either you could just shoot it in there for a skill shot everytime which isn't right. The plunger lane exit gate was all bent to hell too, my ball got stuck under it. The spider was nonspinning, just the lights where working. Last time I was in there (8 months ago) it was perfect!
Did you sell this at the White Rose this year? One of the Scared Stiff machines I saw there looked just like this one and I could have sworn I saw a guy that looked like you there. Love your pinball videos.
I can't seem to find a video of yours covering the Star Trek: The Next Generation table. I really wanted to hear your opinion on it, but I guess you don't have it in your collection...Shame...
Each time i see your videos,im always very impressed, thank you,Chris :} If you ever have a chance, check out Elvira Mistress of the dark on the Amiga, great horror RPG from 1990
Specifically, what is it that you don't like about Sega, the games they put out or the rules Sega uses (e.g. no grace period and ball saver ends as soon as the light goes off)?
@blinkstock182 I´ll have to agree with you here. Before this I hardly knew anything about pinball, but now I want my own collection :) Thank you spida1a
there is one of these here in my city (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil). its the best pinball table I ever played. (no, I am not a pinball addict, so I didnt play THAT many tables)
@kindaaredneckkindaar Definitely. I had a Monster Bash for a few years (side-by-side at one point with this one). Great game, definitely. Yuppers....Gofers is coming soon.......if I can find the tape (gulp). Ha ha. :) Thanks for watching!
I've never understood the attraction to this game, I find it to be too easy. First time I touched it I hit like 8 ramps in a row. Plus the cabinet is so ugly. Regardless, your collection is amazing. Besides FG and BBB do you only have Williams titles? Is that ecause you don't like DE and Sega machines?
hell yeah! i was a little apprehensivene about playing a horror-themed table, but it made me fall off my chair! "ahh... the Deadhead family album.... *announcer AIR-Head!* *elvira* What-ever*
@brettybluevein Hey, to each his own. You know? I think Twilight Zone is a borefest (and yes, I'm quite good at it).....and I have no interest in picking one up any time soon. Ha ha. I like Data East , HATE Sega (though I did have a South Park for a short time). I just haven't picked up any DE stuff yet. :) Thanks for watching.
@SemiBaked Ha ha. Nice part is, I've had about 50+ games come and go since I started collecting. And...of those games...I have tons of photos and video footage scattered here and there. Maybe the next series can be my "past collection part 1.." ha ha. :)
