This video is about The Spa Guy introducing you to David Briggs who played keyboard on may Elvis sessions and in concert... Don't forget to subscribe..
That album he was talking about.I WAS THE ONE.i bought that thing back in 81. it blew my mind.i thought that was one of the BEST albums ever done.and the version of "DONT" on that album blew my mind.loved what they did with the jordinaires on that track.
David Brigg interviews are always worthwhile and I enjoyed this one. I remember one he did for a fanzine called Elvis The Man and His Music the things he said about the TCB band were very funny. I'd love to see him produce a reissue of That's The Way It Is. Could have been one of Elvis greatest ever albums..'I Was The One' was one of my favourite posthumous albums David got the sound just right on that one. Why that's never been celebrated more I don't know.
I always find it amazing people who were closest to Elvis, just nonchalantly discuss stories as if they were just anyone walking down the street. For me it amazing he was that close to him. For us we only saw him through a television screen, or if we were so lucky, to watch him live. This gentleman was very humble about his experience with Elvis.
This is a really amazing interview. So great of you to showcase the lesser known members who recorded with Elvis. I would not know of this man if I hadn't watched this video. Glad I did. Look forward to part 02. Thanx for the history lesson. Take care!!!!
THANKS SO MUCH SPA GUY, SO INTERESTING,I GUESS I JUST WAS SO USED TO SEEING THE REGULAR GUYS,. IT NEVER OCCURED TO ME THAT ANYONE DIFFERENT WAS PLAYING. YOU DID IT AGAIN,. SPA GUY,. THANKS
Thanks spa guy! Elvis fan always but I love the TCB band. I’d love to see something with James Burton or Jerry Scheff. Thank you for what you bring to us fans
Thanks spar been elvis Presley fan all my life relied on magazine s but I never thought I could ever be able to see these gt vlog s that the man that made it possible thanks Richard UK and all the people who love elvis and the people who have been so close to ELVIS thanks
Got most of the concerts from 76 on bootlegs. Never really liked the sound of the Electric piano that David played and the introduction part was terrible. But the only thing that matters is Elvis liked him has a player and friend. Good work again spa guy. ELVIS is always TCB
I want to thank you for sharing this and doing all your hard work finding him really sad we're losing so many of them. I am so joyously happy and we are blessed to have you film all this for us for the future of his fans God bless you always
"Danny Boy" is one of my favorites, it's so beautiful. Thank you for this interview SG and thank you David. It's cool to hear about Felton - there is a funny clip from That's The Way It Is where one of the Sweets says she called Felton "Cliff" by mistake. Then Elvis says someone else called him "Phil." Search for "Elvis talks with the Sweet Inspirations plus "Words"...and you can hear Felton in the background and see Elvis and the girls laughing.
I love how you're capturing all this good history; especially as those in Elvis's world age. All of your videos should be complied and put into a time capsule! :)
Hi Billy.David. Very informative about working with Elvis.rehearsals etc .were all like little sponges soaking up all this history.looking forward to part 2 .and thanks to Bryan Dennis .well done our friends xx

Such a great interview with David , thank you for sharing such a grand story about Elvis with us , also Thank you Spa Guy .... love your blogs from Sydney, Australia xxxxxx
Thanks Billy long time watcher first time comment.. David Briggs work on love letters is some of the most perfect piano playing ever recorded .... tighten up sir ... living all this Elvis history ... all these stories you and Ashley find ... what’s the phrase ... the divine is in the detail .... fave uploads ...the bike , the scotty 4 th July rehearsal house , gave me shivers ... keep on keeping on sir ... best wishes from the UK 👍👍👍
Spa Guy I’m glad you said that about 4th July film .... it’s that moment just before he changes history on that’s alright and the two years prior to national fame .. , I can see him walking up to that door , the way the weather was , all brought to life ... and it’s still there!!!! Wonderful ... should have a historical marker on it ... also love the dry cleaner rehearsal room , eagles nest locale , the touch football games picture line up .... all amazing ... but there’s something about the Fourth of July ...to see that house , to be in there ... great work sir 👍
Thanks once again for the great coverage, looking forward to part two, have you and Ashley ever considered doing a TV documentary, would be a hit for sure, keep well, John UK 👌👍
Too Good my friend Spa Guy. If anyone could find out important things about Elvis, it would be you. It keeps us going. David was so lucky to be with Elvis. Such a nice gentleman but it would have been a treat to see both of you sit down and have a chat, sort of an interview about Elvis and Jim Reeves another favourite of mine. However thank you for this review. Amazing. Take care❤️🕺🏻
The King of Spa with more King of Rock and Roll Info! Man, i dont know how you do it but im sure glad you do! You are VITAL to Elvis history getting out there! Thanks so much brother! God Bless You!
More pieces of the puzzle to get it closer to completion! Very interesting and informative. Looking forward to part 2 and more from Mr. Briggs. I could listen to all these people associated with Elvis for hours! Thanks again, Billy, for always gathering this information for us. I'm forever grateful for whatever you choose to share with us. Bless you and Lori! :-)
Elvis played In Texarkana, Arkansas several times at the Municipal Auditorium in 1955. He also had his Cadillac breakdown a few miles out of town. He was brought back to Texarkana until they could check out the Vehicle ..............I have a real good story of how The Colonel heard of Elvis from a local Radio Talent named “Uncle Dudley”
I guess I watched these backwards, Billy.. playing catch up on the videos and watched the second half first and now watching this one.. Lol! Great video even watching out of order!
Thanks for introducing us for David Briggs Billy, seems like a down to earth guy, and Im happy you intuducing us to some of TCB band players (members) because they are a part of the Elvis story and need some credit for the story too. Thanks for the stories David Briggs ! To the end I will say thanks to Bryan Dennis for making this interview possible !
SG, Just an observation. Of all the 'musician people' you interview in regards to EP pieces of the puzzle, the bottom line is Elvis was from the very beginning, the nucleus of the others showing their talents. What trying to say is without Elvis many would have been merely a local 'bar entertainer' which there's nothing wrong with that, either. Also realize that most of these musicians are session players and played with many artists but they all shine when they were 'on the road' with EP,,it seems.Elvis sounded good ,,well great,, with just the Scotty & Bill sound ,,and he was always thinking of the sound he wanted to achieve by adding The Stamps The Sweet Inspirations,Joe Guercio Orchestra , ,etc,,and sounded just as good or better just in a slightly different way. Don't know up from down about music engineering but that's my take. Another great piece of the Elvis puzzle B. Thanks again.
Thanks for telling this one, you always hit the nail right on the head, the last I knew who played piano for Elvis was Tom Parker, my bad, but you bring it to life, please keep up the good work.... you are my hero. Taking Care of Business 🎹🎶💙😎🤠
Out of the TCB Band the only one who has passed is John Wilkinson and only a few have passed from the backing singers so there is still some great interviews out there. Elvis is always TCB
Hi billy this is unrelated to this video. I was watching the video of Elvis at the Cadillac dealership where he is wearing the Phoenix jumpsuit. I came across photos of him driving a 75 Lincoln Mark in the same jumpsuit .just wandering if you seen those photos .
Wasn't a fan of the stray cats glad he cleared that up/ We all know Elvis and Carl made/invented rock and roll. We can throw in Chuck Berry and Fats Domino too. Great video Billy as always
Thanks! Love your videos. Would be great to know what David Briggs has today about his claim of having "We Had It All" with Elvis singing. Briggs looked uncomfortable. Did not sit down or seemed interested.
