Billy, If I were in charge of Elvis' Estate I would replace your camera and commission you to continue doing what you're doing. Bringing Elvis back to life with these videos are fabulous and very well studied. Heck, I would even grant you access to Graceland' Archives to correlate your future Elvis studies. Keep up the Good work.
The mind of 'spa guy' is very analytical too, a good researcher and socio-historian. ''Graceland' videos are of different nature, history is amiss, but rather too much publicity and commercialism, sad to say. @What we should hope that can be done is a creation of social center near Tupelo house, under his management [[ if the title heads of each video has punctuations and not all capitalized, it is more understandable and can be converted in series, a recording for fans to buy.
Cherry Clift, that is the truth !! A few years ago someone was stealing flower vases from people's graves where my dad is buried . My dad's wasn't stolen , but my great grandparent's and my husband's grandparent's flower vases were stolen . The cemetery would only replace them with plastic ones . I guess they were taking them and selling them at scrap metal places for money .

My friend and I went to Forest Hill Cemetery in June of 1960. Gladys' was buried in a grave and the Monument of Jesus with the two Angels kneeling on each side. This is the one that's at Meditation Garden now but the foot stone is different. At the cemetery it had She Was the Sunshine of Our Home on it. I love your findings/post. Please please keep them up.
My purse was stolen from a cemetery in England when I was visiting a passed relative ..the car was locked but he used a bottle with sand in it ,smashed the front window and stole my purse...he was on a bike and took off ..so it happens everywhere all over the world now..cemeteries are great places for criminals to pounce on the unsuspecting.

When I came to Graceland, (Jan 2017) a taxi driver said Memphis is evil and I did feel unsafe in most places in the city, felt much safer out at Graceland, but some Memphians were very kind to me and the staff at the Hardrock cafe were also great.If you are thinking of going try to arrange organised tours and stay in groups. It's a shame that society has fallen so far as to steal from someone at a cemetery. My oldest children live in Memphis, and I worry about their safety. When I'm there, they tell me all the time to not be so trusting!

Shane Marbry seriously doubt..new Orleans is 3rd on list of high crime and murder..as well as Chicago..either 2 or 4..I forget..but Memphis was nowhere near the top..top 5 maybe..but not the near that top 3..

20 yrs ago the 1st time i went to Graceland at the hotel we had spent the nite & walked out with my husband to get into the car then noticed my window shattered they stole just junk & left a check cola can in the car well we called the police & they said that too much was going on they're not coming out call my insurance company. It was 4th of July weeknd but i couldn't believe it. Still enjoyed Graceland! will love Elvis forever!

Interesting. I found this on the web but don't know if it's true. " Elvis' cousin, Bobbie Jane Ayers Wrenn. Taken in 76 (in Vegas). She was Gladys' sisters' child....She died December 30, 1976 (most say from suicide). She was buried very close to Gladys' grave in Forest Lawn when she was in the mausoleum. It is said that Elvis was very torn up about her death."..." Elvis talks about his cousin Bobby Jean who gave him the two piece leather suit he wore in 1974...She was only one year younger than Elvis, and Lilliane, Gladys' sister was her mother, so they probably grew up together. She died on December 30th 1976.

Great video. As we have come to expect. The cemetery is such a part of Elvis' history that it is a must visit. Sadly I NEVER feel safe in Forrest Hills. Go in the mausoleum and you can't help but feel you are in danger. That is an easy place to get robbed or assaulted! You are isolated and alone there. As Spa Guy says LOCK your car and protect your valuables. I always carry mace with me in Memphis and in the past have carried a knife. Memphis is okay during the day but at all times be careful of your surroundings. I have given rides from tourists from Japan and France (maybe other places) just walking up from the Walgreens on EP Blvd towards Graceland both in the Heartbreak days and now the Guest House. Elvis fans have a "look" and it helps when they have seen me in the hotel. It just is dangerous at night. Elvis fans should watch out for each other. Shame on the thugs of Memphis. Being poor is no excuse for being a loser criminal. You get ahead by working hard and school/training. I am from a housing project family (vets housing in those days) and we all worked and moved to a real house we owned and did well in life. My father used to say "if you wake up in a nice house and have a good job you haven't really been sleeping". Off my soapbox. Sorry folks but this theft and the situation in Memphis really angers me. Hi Spa Guy, Just a quirky story in regards to cemeteries and Elvis. About 12 years ago went with a couple I know to visit their deceased son-in-law grave on Memorial Day, that had passed away about 2 years previous . It was a tiny country cemetery about 15 miles south of Centerville,TN,(Minnie Perl home here ) outside tiny town of Brushy(About 5 houses there). Walking though the cemetery i seen at least 7-8 head stones with name of Elvis. Just thought how strange that seemed with this uncommon name. (I/we live about 9 hours away from here ). thanks for this neat informative videos you do , too!

I'm not surprised Brother! I've been to a lot of places, and if it wasn't for Graceland I'd NEVER GO THERE!! Everytime I do go, I always get a hotel over in Germantown or Cordova, because the rest of Memphis is trash!! I thought Atlanta and New Orleans was bad, but neither one holds a candle to Memphis!! It's bad when you can't even go and visit someone's grave without somebody stealing from you! So Sorry that happened to you Brother!! I've told you before, but I'll tell you again, I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR ALL OF US!!👍
First of all I'm so sorry your camera was stolen. That makes me so mad too . I'll never understand people like that. This was a great story . I never knew that Elvis had a key to the gate and could visit the cemetery at night . I didn't know about the other people that were buried there either . Very interesting !! Seemed to me Elvis was standing higher up and closer to the grave. You can see the yellow flowers on his right. Another pic shows those flowers close to the grave. But I’m not there. Great video and sorry to hear you got ripped off. You are so right about - givers & takers- that what it comes down to in our society.
Ugg, that’s very disturbing! The same thing has happened to the suburb I live in. It’s disgusting. Our home has depreciated at least 250’000 because of crime,and we are getting close to retirement. Not a pretty picture. Why our government allows this to take place all across the USA is a big messed up puzzle.😕 Keep doing what you do safely, we love it!!❣️❣️❣️
People get mad at me when I say Elvis if he had lived would have definitely moved out of the area . From the 80’’s on Memphis really started getting bad especially when crack was introduced. No way would he have kept his daughter in that city . No way !!! I bet he would have moved to a nice area of Nashville by the mid 80’s.
Great video-sorry about the theft-Memphis has become a rough town (sad to say) been there many times over the years and everytime i go back seems like it is worse. getting your car broke into in a cemetery is pretty low and just shows how bad it has become.

@Spa Guy I am so sorry u were violated by lowlifes...The videos you share with are priceless..I live in Pueblo Colorado and would absolutely never ever have any way of getting these amazing stories and information....I was 7 years old when Elvis died, I loved Elvis like everyone else but I had no clue whovElvus really was..Now as an adult I am mind blown ,he was such an amazing human being and a "STAR" in every way..Unlike todays music,tragic....They dont make em like ELVIS anymore..He was normal compared to the weirdos that are sayin words and callin it a song..lol..You sir have brought this icon back to life for me..Thank you so graciously for what u do...

I know you carry -- so the poor sap was lucky to get away without a couple holes in his hamstrings. Thanks for the info on other buried folk with a relationship to E, never saw those markers. As for the photo matchup, the laurel wreath seen in the photo is right at Gladys' grave. There are a couple of tree stumps nearby ( I took some wood from one of them; walked around listening to "Sweet, Sweet Spirit" ) the chapel mausoleum that might have been in the shot. Happy happy new year my friend. It is so sad that your camera was taken. When we were there in October I was not impressed with the area around Graceland & the way it was NOT taken care of. If Elvis were still with us I have to believe that he would have something to say about the trashie things that have sprung up. I do love the traffic light that they city put in front of Graceland. We went to Marlowe's and I really enjoyed myself. Wish we had a Marlowe's in South Carolina. Take care.

It's other places years ago. Man was robbed in a separatory where I was putting flowers on my dad's Grave I guess it takes a certain kind of person. Maybe they don't have a soul? Sorry to hear about your camera being stolen. People are just out there. Scarey how their brain works. I have been listening to Elvis's music alot lately and following you alot, along with other footage of Elvis. I had be looking at some ghostly footage of him, not believing some of it. Anyway, I just got to sleep good and my phone was on my side table. I was woke by my phone playing Elvis could not stop laughing!! Scared the hell out of me, lol. Could not go back to sleep. Very strange......
