I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

I was born in 1954 and can remember being at my grandmother's when one of my uncles put on to his Dansette Junior Elvis' first LP in 1956. That was 68-years ago and I can remember that day vividly. One of my aunties was in the room and my uncle John said, "You just have to listen to this" to which my aunty replied, "Who is it?" my uncle replied, "Elvis Presley" to which my aunty replied, "That's an odd name, I've never heard of him'." I've listened to Mr Presley ever since. I was 2-months old when That's All Right was released in July 1954 but don't remember that. I've got an original first pressing of CLP 1093, have an original of his second LP on HMV (Nipper label) and also an original of the 10" LP The Best of Elvis (also HMV Nipper label).
