So Fun!! I agreeeee what a great time to be an Elvis fan !! These albums make me want to dance!! I saw Elvis when I was 10 in 76, love love love him, the FTDs are the icing on top of my Elvis collection cake!! FTD are pretty penny though.

No matter how bad your day was .. this will put a big smile on your face and makes you want to move. FIA was one of the first Elvis records I got from pocket money when I was a child. It was the UK RCA international bonus packed with GI Blues. Always loved it. Excellent release from FTD, great cover, great sound, possibly one of the best yet. The trumpets, the Amigo's, what an vacation atmosphere. Elvis even during the movie times making the best of it, he had fun too, you can tell. Bring the Marguerita's, time for fun! Oleee. I think what gets lost about the movies is that people my age (grew up in the 80's and 90's) largely became Elvis fans because his movies were on TV almost every day. I think they are the main vehicle that brought in Elvis fans in the twenty years following his death.
Oh yes Scotty! I Saw this film when I was 14 and left the cinema completely in LOVE with Elvis. He was fabulous! As you say he was a great singer and cinema star,❤

In addition to putting together the best Elvis videos on RU-vid, I love hearing your appreciation for Elvis' voice (especially the early 60's version). A lot of people out there think Elvis reached his vocal peak in the 70's. I love Elvis at all times during his career, but they must be deaf.

Elvis looked great and was and still is the best singer in the world. Shame the film wasn't filmed on location. I also loved the suits Elvis wore, they were designed by Cy DeVore who was the tailor for Hollywood stars of the day including Jerry Lewis, sinatra etc. Amazing times, amazing talent , great hairstyles, good looking actors, great films. Never to be seen again.

I actually live this album and have the original love how Elvis sings with the mariachi band he’s so versatile. He looks so handsome in the suits also he’s respectful to our culture and doesn’t downplay the music. El Toro is actually an old Mexican style song called “ corrido” we have been singing them about brave horses, dogs or sometimes fighting cocks depends on the situation. In this song the bulls pride was as much as stake as the man’s. I understood the song and Elvis’ meaning behind it but if u don’t know or haven’t heard corridors u probably didn’t get it. Scotty this is fantastic album thanks for the review.

Now this is one Elvis Presley movie soundtrack that I really love. Despite what some might say, (especially my Latino friends) about the quality of the songs, Elvis is in top voice and I just like the Mexican flavor. Bossa Nova Baby was/is a Killer single. I think I might just buy this FTD vinyl just for the artwork. 😊

Absolutely adore this album - all the songs fit so well in the film and are great to listen to but my favourite song is Guadalajara - there is just something about that song that's magical perhaps it's the foreign language I really don't know but I just love it. Thanks for sharing ⭐

The FTD label is sheer delight. I just bought 4 today on ebay at a cost of £120, well worth it. It's why I will never use a streaming service, physical media for me only and imo, cd's sound better than streaming.

Wonderful album and fantastic video. I ALWAYS learn something new from your videos and yet I always think I know so much on Elvis. I received the two hard cover books newly printed on Blue Hawaii and music CDs along with the DVD of the movie ( I believe)I just started to read the books about behind the scenes and all the stuff I never knew happened. It’s a great set. Did you get it? Keep up the good work, & good luck on the video for August and Elvis’s death. I always clear my calendar and watch as much as I can, both old and new. I-sob, smile, laugh, cry good tears and ugly tears. If I don’t do it all in one day, it would last. This yr with Lisa Marie’s passing, it will be worse. 😢 But he deserves it. My King, my joy who has helped me through good and bad times with that soul grabbing God gifted talent. I’m sure yours will be good and I will make a special place in my heart that day for it. I love the early sixties Elvis he was in great physical and vocal condition in the early sixties fun in Acapulco a great movie awesome storyline great acting and Fabolous music really a brilliant movie in every way Elvis singing and acting top notch classic movie and soundtrack the movie and soundtrack very very underrated have a great day

Is the truth - that when all is said and done after all these years of debate - the movies were actually great for his career? - can you imagine a world without Elvis movies? No. We get great fun movies + 3 extra distinct Elvis re-inventions later on in his career. Who knows if we'd have got the reinventions if he hadn't been so dissatisfied with some of teh movies? My favourite thing about Elvis and his career is his movies and soundtracks I love them all .They have been with me my whole life I even saw The Trouble with Girls and Change Of Habit when they were brand new one at the cinema the other at the Drive-In by that time they were the second features on a double movie bill supporting the main film . You know Kurt Russell once said on the channel TCM he loves Elvis movies because the best part about them is you get to see Elvis love your review and your right what an amazing record cover cheers Carl .

The silver spot label was also used in Australia. I've got an original release Australian pressing and it's gold instead of silver. Cant recall which sound track.

Here for Bossa Nova Baby! We watched FIA again yesterday, and I thought most of the music was really cringey and Elvis knew it. Though I think he liked singing in that style. But BNB is one hot track, those moves!
Well we are not gonna agree here..that’s ok..difference of opinion is ok Sometimes I can overlook a song if the vocal is good..but these have a charm that I’ve always liked. Take care
